Luke’s Dixie Donuts & Fried Chicken - Good Morning

Luke’s Dixie Donuts & Fried Chicken

After working out at the gym, my buddy and I decided to try a Luke's Dixie Donut. We deserved…read moresomething rewarding after working out. While having the glazed red velvet donut which was absolutely delicious, I noticed they also had a fried chicken sandwich which sounded interesting. They have 3 options, Luke's Chicken, Buffalo & Custom. I had Luke's which was the biggest, tastiest and best friend sandwich I can remember. Much better than the more famous fast food chicken stores. They also offer very crispy and crunchy Tater tots. And a huge portion . While it's a fairly long drive from the other side of Jupiter, I will become a regular. I would also be remiss if I didn't mention Dave . We thought he was the manger or owner as he was so knowledgeable and sincerely interested in customer satisfaction. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't become a manager there. He deserves to be promoted. I highly recommend both the donuts and the fried CHICKEN. You will delighted . You GOTTA try both. I may go back tonight ....

We were visiting friends in the area & stopped in to get some treats to bring with us…read more They have a parking lot with plenty of spots. Upon walking in we noticed a variety of flavors we never knew existed. The gentleman who helped us actually nice & helped us decide what flavors were good to bring. The inside ambiance is like that of a home style bakery with their wooden racks & handmade signs. Not like that huge chain with the cold metal racks & not so happy staff. You know the one that actually used to make donuts & not just coffee($$) Not only did we get donuts for our friends but like good friends we also picked some out to try on the spot. Just to be sure we know what we were bringing wink wink they were yummy We tried their ginormous Blueberry fritter. (That fritter was no joke It was huge & heavy too) we tried the glazed raspberry & the Chocolate glazed donut They have recently started to make fried chicken too. They offered us a sample and it was crispy & moist inside. When in this area we will return & try more flavors & give an order of the chicken a try.

I really wanted to love this place again, but unfortunately I've been consistently disappointed…read more When Small Cakes first opened, I was genuinely excited to have a local cupcake option--especially because they regularly stocked mini cupcakes. They were the perfect little treat: enough to satisfy a sweet tooth without the guilt or wasting half a cupcake because it was too big. Over the past couple of years, though, the experience has gone downhill for me. Minis are never available anymore unless you special order days in advance, which completely defeats the purpose of a spontaneous treat. The selection is okay, but the flavors just don't hit the way they used to. They're good cupcakes--but they don't have that "wow" factor anymore. No tingle, no excitement, no craving for the next bite or urgency to try another flavor because it's so decadent. The staff has always been pleasant, so this isn't about service. It's really about the product and options. The cupcakes are large and expensive, and without mini options, they're not practical for a light, bite-sized treat. I truly wish there was more variety or better size options available without having to plan days ahead. I miss what this place used to be and hope it can get back there someday

They have their own unique spin on cupcake flavors and designs. Our favorite is the "wedding cake"…read moreone but this location did not have it the day that we went. It's very clean and nicely decorated inside. The young lady working was nice. Limited parking in the plaza. I found the cupcakes to pack more flavor in the icing and toppings. The cake itself to be rather bland.

**New Location: 1301 10th St., Lake Park, FL**…read more I am so pleasantly pleased with the decision to go to Oceana Coffee Roasters in Lake Park today. The building is big, baby blue and beautifully decorated with coffee beans across the top. They must roast on site because the property is huge. It didn't even pop up on Yelp so I'm musing on the Jupiter location's page to post this review. Service was great. Ambiance was nice. I felt cozy and welcomed. It was clean and bright. There is outdoor seating and a drive thru (oh la la) but we chose to walk in and sit inside. Coffee beverages were fantastic. Smooth roast came through in the cafe au lait and my flat white was perfect. The food was just as nice as you'd want it to be. Seemed like "homemade" egg bites (not pre frozen) with descent flavor for a coffee shop that's not a cafe. I'm attempting to make good choices so I avoided the sweet carb-heavy ever so tempting pastry items. Little mixed greens with oil and balsamic was a perfect accompaniment to the egg bite. I took pics/vids of the other food items, the merch, the pastries, etc. I loved hanging out at this spot and I will use it as an excuse to visit Lake Park on a more regular basis. Check them out and you'll be pleasantly surprised! Another review giving it to you straight no chaser. Enjoy!

**INITIAL REVIEW** I…read morewill admit that Oceana Coffee (which I will shorthand simply to Oceana for the remainder of this review) was a stop I made by happenstance. On this day, I was having an adventure at both John Dickinson State Park and the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum. However in between both locations, I made a stop for coffee. And fortunately for Oceana, it was highlighted as it is one of the coffee shops recognized by the Florida Cafe Passport. I had to go in and try their coffee... and I am glad I did. Though an address is provided, Oceana is located on the south end of the 150 Fashion Mall (that is what the strip mall is literally called). For subsequent visitors, this would not be a problem, but if you are going anytime close to my review, take note the mall is still open despite all the renovation. Prior to entering, Oceana does have an outdoor seating arragement with simple chairs and tables and a couple of plants for some decor and color. However, I went during the summertime in Florida, which meant it was too hot to stay outside. Inside, the vibe is definitely a mix of the love for the oceans and Australia. As a matter of fact, Oceana is a part of the Pacific Ocean that is close to, you guessed it, Australia. Makes sense if you ask me. Though roomy, Oceana definitely packed the space for maximized seating. Some of the chairs are tight squeezes with other chairs. Take note of that if you are of a bigger size such as I. The coffee selection is delicious, but seems limited in order to keep the staffing to just one person behind the counter at times. The food selection is also a bit small but once again, utilized for a one-person staff. I ordered a meal, dessert, and coffee: brekky sandwich, chocolate croissant, and flat white. Starting with the brekky sandwich (which is Aussie for breakfast sandwich), it is your simple egg, sausage, and cheese on English muffin. Comes with a balsamic vinnegerette salad. Good but a little pricey. As for the croissant, I got that because the Florida Cafe Passport suggested their "French food." However, the croissant is the only French thing they have... well from what I saw. It was good, but the "French food" was kinda lacking. Finally, the coup de resistance, the Flat White. I love Flat Whites and they did a phenomenal job making this one. I would definitely rank this up there in flavor. They pretty much stuck to the formula and did not stray. Get that right, you'll always get my praise. Ultimately, my time at Oceana was a-okay. What really rounds it out is the waitress/counter girl. She did everything on her own and was very kind. She even helped me pick stickers to purchase since I am a sticker collector, and luckily for me, Oceana has official stickers, many of them actually. Ultimately, I am going to give this mom n' pop coffee shop that was featured in the Florida Cafe Passport my highest rating for a mom n' pop: four out of five stars. The fifth star is always for consistancy and if they are consistant, I will give it to them in an updated review.
