Very cute coffee shop that's bigger than I thought on the inside. I got a caramel white chocolate latte and it was sooooo tasty. I also tried their cinnamon muffin and shakshuka.... Both very delicious. But the highlight and the award goes to the empanadas. Flaky, tasty and well seasoned meat on the inside. The staff seem to know the regulars well as many of them struck up conversation about things more in depth than just the orders. Definitely would visit again! read more

Hubby and I walked in while waiting for our truck to be detailed. What an amazing vibe! It is decorated so beautifully. I especially loved the purple sitting area. I ordered a skinny latte and hubs a coffee. We also tried one of their brownies. The coffee was really good. The brownie was ok. we will definitely be back to try a sandwich as they looked interesting. It is a family run business so I always give extra credit! Everyone working was very nice. I was highly recommended so I hate to be the one to write a bad review but after what happened, I have to share my experience. I went to try Carmela's yesterday afternoon. I walked up to the counter just as two men walked away but the girl working, Lexie, had me wait while she made the guys their drinks. Finally when she came to take my order, they're out of matcha, the one thing I went there for. Settled for another drink. Then I ordered 3 chk empanadas and paid for my order. After I paid, she tells me an uber eats order came in and they asked for two chk empanadas so she had to take them out of my order! So now not only am I not getting the latte I want but she's taking away my empanadas! Had she not left me waiting when the first two guys walked away, my order would've been in first before the uber eats. Either way I was there in person, at the counter, first! I'm sorry that's terrible customer service. How do you take away things from someone's order to help someone else. She gave me one of the empanadas for free but I don't care for free things that are covering up your mistake. In the end I walked out unhappy. I've been in the industry. I've worked behind a counter before. Besides customer service and making your guests happy, time management is crucial! Because of her horrible timing I missed out. She could've taken my order after the 2 men and multi tasked, making mine and the 2 guys orders in one shot instead of leaving me waiting. Terrible first experience. The food is good, and the coffee is okay, but we likely won't be back due to unwarranted attitude from the barista today. My husband ordered an iced latte with honey. This is his go-to order and we've never had an issue at any other cafe. The barista made the latte, and then poured a substantial amount of honey on top of the ice. Of course, the honey didn't mix because it wasn't properly integrated with the espresso first, so he just kept getting a straw full of honey. He politely asked the barista to remake it because of the congealed honey, and her initial response was basically, well duh, that's what honey does when you add it to a cold drink, and didn't want to remake it for him. After overhearing this encounter, a younger barista apologized profusely and actually offered to remake his latte properly (which she did - thank you to this person for their kindness!). Had the initial barista just admitted she made the drink wrong, it would have been no harm, no foul. But her attitude about the entire situation was unwarranted and put a bad taste in our mouth. read more

Their Breakfast avocado toast......amazing! You won't find this anywhere else in the area- California maybe. Chai tea was also very good. Excellent service -counter- food was delivered to my table. The food was beautifully presented on a signature wooden cutting board instead of a boring plate. I'm quickly becoming a Carmela fan! After several visits, this has become my new local coffee shop and catch up on work spot. Staff is super friendly. The coffee hot or iced is very good and they have just enough food items to cover your snack appetite . They also sell these Panza cookie/ cracker type snacks which are addicting! I had the pleasure of dining at the new Carmela Coffee in Stuart this week and was extremely impressed. It was such a nice space to eat, hang with a friend, work/study or even play some games. The interior was spacious with lots of different seating options from tables to couches, the ambiance and decor was comfortable and inviting, the coffee was great, and the food selections were not only extensive, but honestly delicious! Portions were huge and the presentation was Instagram worthy. I had one of their avocado toast selections called The Queen. It was the perfect combination of a coffee bar and upscale cafe. On Monday Columbus Day while getting a car wash I decided to have a quick breakfast at Carmela's. I always had a great experience and the food selection was great. Unfortunately today, this older lady seem to have a big attitude and gave me an impression that she didn't want to be there to work. She was bossing around the younger lady who was very nice and helpful. I'm sorry to see such a good place with bad workers. Service is always key. The staff are terrible! They are incompetent when it comes to making orders and are so rude when you ask them why your order is wrong. I brought food from a different place because of allergies I have and the manager came up to me and yelled at me for being outside food. She started talking about diseases and how I would affect their business. The rest of the time I was there the staff would not stop checking to see if I was still eating. A lovely coffee bar, which is light and airy. Great Wi-Fi and excellent service. A bit pricey but well worth it.
