It's lunch time and I was looking around to try out a new place close to home. I'm a sucker for a good sub sandwich and this shop popped up on my search. The parking area was big and the shop was clearly visible from the road. No trouble finding the place. Inside the atmosphere was pleasant and the joint was clean. The two girls minding the registers were upbeat and had a happy attitude. Several people in the back were busy making food. I asked for recommendations for both a hot and cold sub as a first-timer and settled on a hot meatball parm sub and cold Ricky Fowler's Favorite (love me some avocado, yum!) The subs were absolutely delicious. The cold sub I got with oil+vinegar, deli mustard and added tomatoes, and everything was fresh and crisp. The meatball sub was very good with lots of sauce and cheese but still super meaty. Looks like I've found my new goto sub place :) I happily recommend this shop! read more

I went to this place because I was told they had a great Philly Cheese Steak.....Well, not the case. They do have something called that on the menu, but a Philly was not what I received. Now to be fair, there was a good amount of meat on the sandwich and the bun was soft. That's about all I can say good about it. I also thought it strange that the place did not have hairnets or caps on the employees preparing food. Florida's CHAPTER 64E-11, FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, Food Hygiene, Cleanliness, under 64E-11.005 Personnel.; states in section 2(a) Hairnets, headbands, caps or other effective hair restraints shall be worn to keep hair from food and food-contact surfaces. This was not the case. I also noticed one of the employees, while wearing gloves used to prepare the food pulled at the waist band of their pants several times and went back to food preparation without changing their gloves. I am not a clean freak, but come on! If you're going to be making my food, follow the freaking cleanliness rule. read more

Used to be agreat place with some unique sandwich ideas. I wouldn't go there for a turkey and swiss but they have great variety of sandwiches with great flavors. Mike and his wife who run the place are nice couple never had issue being rude they are very very busy at lunch time expect to wait. Update new owners. Need to wait and see. No more handshakes though. Kind of loft personal touch Sandwiches are not the same. Doesn't seem like a family run place. They to interested in reorganizing everything and hiring kids to take orders. The old owner used to care about customers. Since the new one took over I've had some poor experiences, not with food but with the service. They WILL NOT answer the phone to take an order after 2:00pm. They just let it ring or put it off the hook. Not very good practice. Done with this place. read more

We don't usually go to Rinaldi's after Mike sells them because when we have it hasn't been as good but this place is still awesome! I ordered over the phone and my food was ready as soon as I walked in. The guy at the register was very nice and my Godfather is delicious. The usual generous amount of meat and all. My friend got a Cajun Grilled Chicken on a roll and hers was delicious too! I hope this place is able to make it. This is my favorite sandwich shop in town. Very friendly staff. Huge, creative, and original menu! Remember, you will wait for your food - THIS IS A SIGN IT IS GOOD - and you have the option to call ahead. And bring cash! They are Yankee rude. If you think this is OK, the food is really good so go there. But not me. I am pretty sure the sandwiches don't come with may or sauce unless you ask. It doesn't say so on the menu, and they don't tell you. So make sure to ask for it if you want it. I think I asked the first time I was there if they had anything with pesto on it, and was told that they did not. (the sandwiches were dry, see above) The second time, there was nobody there but me and the two or three people behind the counter, and, to make sure I didn't get dry throat again, I took my time studying the menu. But, the (not) nice lady behind the counter just HAD to have my order RIGHT NOW. Purchased two chicken philly subs yesterday. The sandwiches were fair in flavor and quality. Would've given them 3 stars but they get two for service. We placed the order by phone for pick up which typically means you have somewhere else to be or are on a time crunch. Walked into an extreme hot establishment only to see a sign on the counter that read cash only! We were pointed to a Publix that charges an additional $2.75 to get cash. I pointed out to the people standing around at the counter that if they're cash only it would be helpful to tell call in orders. The woman repeated it to a guy who walked up and took my money (who I assume is the owner) who smugly repeated the statement out loud, opened a register that he didn't ring anything up on and handed me incorrect change with a you ladies have a good day. Awesome! Like I've stated before. I'm picky. And they are clean and friendly and fast service. I try to always call ahead because I either am driving by or have my kids with me. Last week I called to order a few sandwiches and they said it would take 20-30 min. So I politely declined as I didn't have that much time since I was just passing by. They called me right back and had the sandwiches ready In Under 10 min. The meat is always fresh and bread is always soft. My coworker always orders their breakfast sandwiches and they are yummy too. I usually order the sausage egg and cheddar (have to request cheddar) which normally comes with provolone. I've also ordered the buccaneer which is sausage and steak and absolutely delicious but usually too heavy for me in the morning. The owners are very nice and I've never had any issues. Unimpressed. I've been meaning for a while to try this place, but since I never carry cash I never went. Ordered turkey, American, lettuce tomato mayo. The turkey was too thickly sliced for my liking, the bread was lackluster. Id like to know if he uses Boarshead? I could almost get beyond that, but the service was slow and met with an attitude from the owner. I can appreciate a good northern attitude, when the food's done right.
