It's one thing to go into a restaurant and taste food you've never tasted before, but it's another thing to go into a restaurant and taste dishes that are truly magnificent, well prepared, and presented in the most pleasing manner. I was curious. Who prepared the meal? And then I had an opportunity to meet one of the most extraordinary young chefs I've ever met. They call him Eddy, but his real Alain Momplaiser. The chicken lacked the crispy texture it was advertised to have, and the brisket was bland and without flavor. The sandwich was also supposed to come with truffle fries, but instead we were served cold, plain fries. After mentioning it, the solution was to bring us a side of truffle oil and Parmesan cheese and ask us to mix it ourselves. The service was equally disappointing. We asked our server twice for drink refills, but she never brought them. We eventually had to flag down another server just to get our beverages refilled. Overall, this was a frustrating dining experience from start to finish. Between the poor-quality food, unfulfilled promises regarding the bill, and inattentive service, this restaurant fell well below the standard I would expect from a Miami establishment.
