Although I have never written a Yelp review before, I felt compelled to write this one. I travel to Reno from out of town for business approximately twice a week. While in Reno, I used to drive out of my way to neighboring Sparks to buy iced coffees, Coolatas, and donuts at this Dunkin Donuts. However, I noticed that this particular location generally puts an excessive amount of ice in their iced coffees, so I started to ask for "light ice" to try to get a reasonable/normal amount of ice. Despite my request, they would "forget" and continue to fill my iced coffees up with WAY TOO MUCH ice, and then, when I reminded them that I had asked for light ice, they would tell me that they would just dump out the extra ice. As such, when I was there earlier this month, I decided for the first time to just order a medium iced coffee with no ice to avoid the whole excessive ice problem. Much to my chagrin, the employee working the drive-thru window handed me an iced coffee that was only 3/4 filled. When I asked him why he didn't fill it to the top, he informed me that, if I wanted the cup filled to the top and get that additional 1/4 of iced coffee, I would have to buy a small iced coffee (in addition to the medium iced coffee I was already buying!) because I was ordering the medium iced coffee without ice. Really?! So, let me get this straight: in order to get a medium iced coffee with no ice filled to the top of the cup, I must buy a medium iced coffee AND a small iced coffee?! That told me two things: (1) that they apparently are intentionally putting an excessive amount of ice in their drinks to try to save on product and (2) that they are extremely petty. Thus, I told him that I would pass on that medium iced coffee and drove away (two can play that petty game, my friend). I was so annoyed that I told my daughter that I was planning to call the manager to complain. However, my daughter said the man that I had been dealing with was wearing a badge that read "manager." I did not catch that, but, if he truly was the manager, he has extremely poor customer service skills. Bottom line is that I don't plan to patronize this location ever again after this. Hopefully, one day, they will open another Dunkin Donuts in the Reno area (heck, maybe I should open one!). Until then, I will go elsewhere or do without. read more

Go to this store a few times a month. The people there are friendly and we enjoy the food. Today when we got home with our breakfast we only had 1 sandwich and we ordered and paid for 2. Since it's a 15 mile ride one way we weren't going back to complain. On our next visit we'll complain, but we can't prove anything, so we're out the cost of the sandwich. read more

I ordered 2 donuts in the drive through window- 1 chocolate with custard filling and 1 chocolate no filling. What I ended up getting was 1 frosted donut with chocolate filling and 1 cake donut - How can they be this wrong. If u use the drive through, check what donut they gave u- lesson learned read more

I was excited to hear that DD was coming to town since that's what I had growing up in MI. My friend waited in the long line when it opened and bought 3 dozen donuts. Unfortunately they did not give her anything she had marked on the form. Strike 1. I had been dreaming of those French curlers. She went back this week and bought us another box. The French curler tasted stale - not like the donut I was thinking of. Strike 2. It must be the frozen donut that I saw in another review. You just can't have a good frozen donut. Completely disappointed. The lobby was dirty, customers were wiping down their own tables to sit, behind the counter was dirty, lady employees did not have their hair pulled back, and the floor was sticky. Our son ordered a smoothie and we were told after we paid that they couldn't make it for him as the yogurt was still frozen. Customer service stunk and they were no hurry to serve or clean. read more

Dunkin Donuts was my "go to" for coffee when I was in the east coast. I ordered my usual french vanilla coffee and a dozen munchkins. The smell and taste reminded me of those good old days. After I finished my coffee and munchkins, I ordered a dozen donuts for the ride home. read more

I have been sitting in the drive-through lane for over 15 minutes already. I placed my order and moved up one spot since then, still don't have my order yet!! this is got to be the worst Dunkin' Donuts I've ever been to!! This is a drive-through... Fast food... Not a sitdown restaurant this is in sane it's a Monday morning people are trying to go to work and what not read more

I feel that each time I go here there are not enough donut options and that they are dried out. the coffee is fine but I would be happier with fresher donuts read more

We like Dunkin Doughnuts. Who doesn't like a good doughnut in the morning. The Doughnuts are good, coffee is good, but the service needs to get better here. When they get busy they forget orders. Not sure how that happens but it does. My son and I sat in here for 20 minutes waiting for a large iced coffee and a small iced Carmel macchiato this morning. When I went up to ask about my order, they gave me an attitude and had my drinks ready in about 2 minutes. So they basically forgot my order. If I would not have reminded them, it would never have came. 2 stars for this Dunkin. Only for the dougnuts and coffee. Don't bother if you want to wait 20 min for slow service with an attitude. read more

Fast service and good cheap bagels. When my mother was at the hospital up the street the young lady behind the counter made her unsweetened peach tea perfect every time, and threw in a free donut for her one night as well. I hope she doesn't get in trouble for me posting this. read more

The worst service I have ever had. I was taking my daughter out for breakfast and decided to visit the store. I stood at the counter for over 10 minutes while 3 workers were just walking around and didn't even acknowledge me or my daughter. I got fed up and walked out and probably won't come back. read more

I don't know why there's so many awful reviews... I love this Dunkin' Donuts! Always receive good service, tasty coffees (normally get a medium iced hazelnut coffee w a splash of cream) and good donuts! This location has always been awesome every time I've went.:) read more

I called and placed an order yesterday afternoon, the day before Valentine's Day. I knew they were going to to busy and wanted to make sure I gave them enough of a heads up to have my 6 dozen doughnuts ready for my employees Valentine's Day treat. The guy repeated the order back to me numerous time as well as confirmed the time I would be there to pick them up. Well, here I am to pick up my order and they are not ready. The employee's are extremely rude, telling me "Well the doughnuts are ready, they just aren't boxed." Well, NO CRAP!! AND the manager is hiding in the back, refusing to come and speak with me causing the employees to have to keep running back there to talk to her causing more of a delay. Completely unprofessional! This is EXACTLY why I called and placed the order in advance! This place is directly across the street from my office but in the future I will chose to drive to a further doughnut shop rather then have to deal with this awful awful place! read more

Not really a fan of this location. Stopped by today for a coffee and a doughnut. There doughnut selection was very limited, which is common no matter what time of the day I have stopped by. Decided to pass on the doughnuts as Doughboy is close to my house. I did order a mocha coffee which was ok. The right amount of chocolate but not a great coffee taste. read more

why did the sparks store change the jelly in there jelly donuts I used to buy a dozen jelly donut every week the jelly that they are using now I can get at any donut store in town so why drive past other donut shops to get jelly that I donot like. I have been to a lot of DD stores all over us they do not use the lousy jelly like the sparks store is using. Change it back and I will come to your store. read more

Got to Dunkin' Donuts and waited in line for 20 min to get coffee. Watched employees scrambling to find coffee because no one was making it as they were using it. The sugar dispenser was empty but they kept using it. When we finally got out of there my 13 year old son turns to me as says "I have seen more coordination from pigeons fighting over a piece of bead, then in Dunkin' Donuts. the coffee tasted like water, cream, and sugar. the donuts were spongy and tasted kind of old.

Had DD on the east coast a few years ago and it was awesome so I was excited for it get here. Unfortunately it's been disappointing after 2 visits. Staff is not very intelligent, coffee isn't that good, floors and tables were dirty, didn't have a standard chocolate donut on one visit and lastly can't understand why they drop a donut in a bag without using the clear like napkin that most donut shops do. Cream filled donuts are so sparse it's a joke to call them cream filled. A level teaspoon is about what ours had.

A toasted bagel with cream cheese and a cup of coffee should not take 7 minutes. Apparently there is a lot of confusion between the drive thru people and the eat in people. I grew up back eat where DD comes from and this is more of kiosk DD. try to find a Bacar crime or even a long john custard, coconut flake? Mostly glazed with or without sprinkles, varying colors. Hopefully it will get better as I like the brand, it's not Tim Hortons but it is DD. read more

I was calling them the night before to place an order of 2 boxes of bavarian and 2 boxes of boston cream for pick up and they werent picking up the phone i called abour 5 times so when i called early in the morning like 7 am they said we needed to place the order the day before when i told her i was trying to call and no one was picking up she said they they only have 20 of bavarian and 20 boston for the whole day i was just like from 5am to 10 pm 20 each flavor for real. It was very dissapointing read more

Donut quality isn't what it was 20 years ago. Compare the raised glazed of Dough Boys to Dunkin. Dough boys are light fluffy with heavenly flavor, then take a bite of Dunkin Dunkin, I dare you to even take a second bite of Dunkin. read more

This store is awesome! Great staff! Managers are very nice and professional and know how customer service works. There had been a few bad apples working there but for the most part this store is great! The coffee has a way better taste than the competitor and the donuts are amazing! The rewards program is better than Starbucks too. read more

I ordered a vanilla latte...got a iced vanilla latte. I guess I could've clarified. The drink was so sweet...I had to add coffee. The bagel sandwich was dry. I only got 1/2 order of hash browns, that were not cooked all the way and I didn't get any napkins with my order. The staff was nice and pleasant, which always helps. read more

What a disappointment. I live in CA and was driving through when I decided to stop for a dozen donuts. Ordered assorted and they gave me a box with a dozen donuts. On opening the box, found only 2 kinds of six each. Assorted?? Extremely overrated, so bad that my 12 year old who loves donuts took just one bite and threw the rest away. We were actually excited at trying DD for the first time and don't understand why they were so bad. We used to live in Reno and loved Krispy Kreme when they were there. From reading other reviews I understand that they serve good coffee . However for coffee I will stick with specialty coffee stores. Major letdown read more

Ordered two cups of coffee and 4 donuts. Donuts and coffee were good, however, coffee was too hot to drink. Wife asked for a small cup of water to cool the coffee down. She was told they have to charge 50 cents (plus tax) for a small cup of coffee. Sorry, but I think that's a bit ridiculous. It would be one thing if we just came in off the street and asked for a cup of water. But, we had already ordered the coffee and the donuts. Not a customer friendly policy so bought a bottle of water so my wife could use a tiny bit of it to cool the coffee down. Arrowhead water, available at Costco in cases for less than $5. They charged me 2.15 for a bottle of water (20 0z). I would add that Starbucks doesn't charge for a cup of water and their bottled water is less and you get more of it. read more

I am sorely disappointed with this establishment. Manager needs to be fired, crew needs to learn customer service. Pulled into drive thru and ordered a large cup of coffee and a doughnut. Got to window employee showed up 3 minutes later, took my cash and shorted me 80 cents on change. Made her aware of it and she left answered the phone and came back 5 minutes later with correct change. Finally brought the doughnut and handed it through the window and left. 4 to five minutes later a different employee handed me the coffee and walked off before I could ask for napkins to wipe the overfilled, leaking cup off with. 5 total employees on site, 2 working and three B.S.ing. I have never published a negative restaurant review but the manager b.s.ing with the employees and their total lack of customer service my last 2 times there have earned the review they are getting. I do not recommend stopping at this doughnut shop. read more

Not very good service. An hour before closing the employees roll their eyes at us as we walk in the door. Sorry to inconvenience you. But your hours do say you are open until 10. Then not so politely the kid behind the counter tells us if you're here for donuts we are pretty much out of those but we have coffee. Not that I'm a businessman or woman but if you're a donut shop and you're going to be open until 10pm it'd be smart to keep making donuts so you have enough to sale even to the customers who don't come in until an hour before you close. About a week ago I went in to DD with my family and my 4 year old daughter spilt her water on the ground as we were leaving and when I told an employee instead of getting a mop to clean it up she handed me a dirty rag to clean it up my self. Very unprofessional. This morning I stopped to get some coffee and went through the drive threw they took my order but when I got to the window they were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. The manager finally came and helped me but she was very rude and didnt even give me my change! Dont think ill be going back. Extremely poor customer service. read more

Nothing like the east coast. This location is always understaffed. Forget the convenience of drive through because that's out of service too. They are always out of munchkins or they will tell you their bakers didn't show up. Try asking for a breakfast sandwich and they will tell you that they are sold out of meats or that guy didn't show up either. Oh and I hope you don't like French vanilla coffee because they are sold out of they 6 days of the week. You like regular donuts? They have everything but glaze and sugar . Oh and the "manager" Jose or Luis if you can get him to tell you his real name is a total tool! He is so rude if you try to talk to him about the poor service he just told me "I'm not gonna deal with you, leave call corporate if you hate it so much" This location is hands down the worst representation of this franchise! I'd rather drive 45 mins to their Carson location than continue going here. read more
