I wish my first visit to Dunkin' Donuts didn't have to be my last for a very long time. They don't have any locations nearby home! And going to the Philippines is out of the question; I keep hearing it's on every block over there. I kept comparing DD to Krispy Kreme since that's where most in my area resort to for sugar fixes. DD dozens are so much cheaper! $9 for an assorted dozen versus $11 and the sizes all vary. The original glazed is big and the traditional cake smaller as expected. My favorites were the powdered chocolate creme filled, chocolate long John, rainbow sprinkles with orange glaze, and the manager's special on 10/24/15: chocolate cake with maple frosting. The one thing I love about Dunkin' Donuts is they aren't as sweet as KK! I also like how they had a variety of cake doughnuts, such as regular, glazed blueberry, and glazed pumpkin. Too bad the frosted/drizzled pumpkin square and Reese's PB square are considered two doughnuts each. I only had one selection left for my dozen so I left without the pumpkin one. Service is fantastic! The lady that took my order was super informative and gave me her opinions on particular doughnuts. Ordering is different too. I had to pay before I chose what doughnuts to put in the box, instead of picking them out and then paying. They sell breakfast items too! With meat! I saw sausage and biscuit sandwiches on the menu. They put muffins and bagels in the same area as doughnuts. Kinda got me confused when I tried to count how many different kinds they had that day. I forgot to choose the Boston creme pie flavor because I was so overwhelmed! By 5pm they had already run out of the Bavarian? custard filled one, to my aunt's dismay. Well, the strawberry iced one just tasted like strawberry cream from a Yan Yan snack. I tried a blueberry cake munchkin (donut hole) and strawberry jelly filled one, pretty good! Whenever we're in NY, we have to have a Dunkin Donuts stop; my partner and I are big fan. So during our recent trip to Reno, NV, we were ecstatic to learn that they have one close to our hotel. Many of the East Coast locations are old, worn and have an aroma of homeless people. The service in Reno is nice and leisurely so much so I almost walked out without my change -- they had to go to the back to get change. East Coast hurry up and order or they'll take the next order while you decide. I met the "Time to Make the Donuts" (head baker) in Reno. East Coast I haven't seen the baker since they got rid of the glass front kitchen in the late 70s. In Reno there's a drive thru. East Coast city locations don't even have parking lots. In Reno the jelly donut munchkins are topped with sugar and a bit stale when I got them at night. East Coast are glazed as they should be and if you go at night they usually throw a few extra munchkins in your bag. Besides the munchkins they have a full menu of donuts - cakey and sweet. Tons of coffee and tea options that rival the mermaid (and cheaper too!) Breakfast sammies -- some are WW friendly. It's worth the trip! read more

Donuts are good when they have them. You have to get there before 10:30am because, usually after that they really don't have a good assortment. One time I asked when the donuts are made to see if they made them throughout the day and the girl said they make them early in the morning but not throughout the day. Once they run out that's it! I don't usually bother anymore with Dunkin Donuts and prefer Doughboys because they are fresh throughout the day and they have a wide variety of choices all day, not just in the mornings. If I'm out early in the morning, have time and close to Dunkin Donuts then I'll check to see if they have the variety that my family likes and I will go there, but usually My cravings for donuts come around noon and Dunkin is just not that dependable. Wife and I went yesterday 2-9-19 to Duncan for a coffee and a doughnut. I try to always bring my reusable cup anyplace I can, not only does it save on resources but my coffee stays hot longer and is spill resistant. When we went into the store and ordered a refill, a large coffee for my wife and 2 doughnuts, a manager rudely stated that Dunkin would only refill their branded cups. I couldn't believe the amount of unprofessionalism this DD has. We get to the drive through and wait at the speaker for about 7-8 mins. We don't get any answer or "Hey be right with you" so we assume the box is broken. We say hello a couple times just to make sure. So we drive to the window and we hear her come on the speaker!! The story about Dunkin Donuts was that their donuts were no big deal but the coffee was the big draw. My first purchase I got donuts and coffee using the drive-through and the coffee was burnt. The donuts were of supermarket quality. The next time I got two more donuts and an everything bagel with egg and bacon, plus another coffee. I had ordered decaf but they gave me regular coffee. I had a few sips of the regular coffee and it was nothing special. I got the decaf. it was also nothing special. I prefer McDonald's coffee. In addition to the screw up on the decaf, I also got a donut different than I ordered. It wasn't worth the hassle to exchange it. These were also supermarket quality donuts. I was disappointed with the variety as well. For instance, why no donuts with nuts? And they had several spots filled with the same type of donut. Perhaps they will add a greater variety later. The bagel wasn't chewy like a traditional bagel but it had nice flavor and worked well in the breakfast sandwich. The egg tasted eggy and the bacon tasted bacony. This is at 6AM! She had to ask her manager permission to hand out two dozen. We asked for assorted donuts to make it easier for them and as long as there's bavarian kreme.
