Zero stars! I went through the drive-through at about 8:15 PM. They close at 9 PM. I drove 20 minutes out of my way to get some donuts. The woman at the drive-through said they don't have any donuts. I've been to Dunkin' Donuts thousands of times and never heard those words before! That's like going to McDonald's and they say that they don't have any hamburgers. And the worst part, is that there was no apology. No substitution. Maybe they could've given me a muffin. Or they could've offered me some free donuts tomorrow. Could care less about me! read more

I am tired of this location. They NEVER put the cream cheese on the bagel, even when you have the choice on the mobile app for CC on the side or on the bagel. The customer service is nice. There is a youthful and pleasant atmosphere when you go inside. Its fun to order when you see smiling faces. The food is hot and fresh and all the drinks are followed by the best recipes for Thanksgiving such as the new toasted white chocolate latte. I can't wait for Christmas to order the gingerbread coffee latte! Already the chocolate peppermint mocha is out and that is a hint for me the holidays are on the way. I believe the breakfast sandwiches are the most healthiest while fastfood service turns to tortilla wraps rather than bagels or croissants to me. read more

Very rude employees. Went through drive thru and they were rude from the get go. Asked for a item and the girl gave me a weird look. Took my phone to scan and handed us the wrong item. I tried to calmly explain we didn't order that item she gave us a schaving look. They asked us to pull forward and since the lobby was closed we had to wait for them to bring us our order. After we waited a while for 3 drinks I proceeded to the window to inquire about our order and she very rudely told me that they would bring it out and began to slam our drinks in the window. Very poor service. All 3 employees were young and poorly trained with horrible customer service skills. Sad to think a large company like Dunkin would leave their business to be ran by such individuals. If I could give 0 stars I would. They are slow, understaffed, and are terrible at making drinks. My iced latte was basically flavored milk. When they handed me my drink it was spilling all over the place, running down the sides of the cup. I always tell myself maybe they had a bad day but when I try that location out of convenience on occasion, I'm always reminded why I never go there. Schererville Dunks is the best! read more

I stopped in here to pick up the famous dozen of donuts and a couple of breakfast sandwiches on our way to an event. During the preparation of my sandwiches. I was profoundly astonished to see one of the associates ignore basic food handling rules. The associate walked by the woman preparing my sandwiches and knocked over the bags that the sandwiches are placed in onto the floor. Upon picking them up, she proceeded to place them on the bottom of the stack that remained on the counter. So now We have cross contamination occurring. The woman preparing the sandwiches next to the associate didn't say a word until I mentioned to health violations associated with her actions. The management team here needs to review and train their staff on the hazards associated with improper food handling. I will think twice about returning here. read more

Wow...I came here to post my own one star review but apparently the entire town beat me to it. Worst location in NWI and I was pretty sure Highland Ridge Road couldn't be topped. Staff is rude, donuts, when there are donuts, are stale and there is no variety, and on top of everything else the place is filthy. How hard is it to clean up the drive through window? I have worked in restaurants and customer service for 25 years and I just can't believe in a town like St. John we have this dump for a Dunkin. I went there yesterday to get the free monday coffee with a purchase and I ordered a chocolate donut. ANY chocolate donut. Didn't have any and it was only 2pm. How about a cinnamon muffin? Nope only carrot cake and blueberry. Ok I'll take the blueberry. Sorry, I was wrong we are our. Munchkins? We have chocolate. Ok give me 6 of those. We are out of chocolate only powdered or cake. At this point give me a coffee and let me go. I'm not coming back to this location ever. We have Starbucks and a new Bigby that just opened and that's family owned so I'm sure it's clean and they are stocked. It's your pretty average Dunkin'. I don't come here often, but when I do, it's either for breakfast, or for ice cream. When I come here for breakfast, I usually use the drive through, which can sometimes even wrap around the building and flow into the street. The staff is sometimes quick about getting orders out, but I honestly think it depends on who's working that day. The food is always great, though, and that's why I continue to come back time after time. When I come for ice cream, It's usually anywhere from an hour to 45 minutes before they close. Half of the lights are turned off by then and it makes you question if they're even open. Once you learn they're open, you walk inside to find out that they're out of the most basic flavors. They tell you they can't put a new one in because it's in the freezer. It's like they wait until a customer wants a flavor that's all gone so then they put the new one in the display case. The prices are also crazy for ice cream. I think I paid $7+ for a small milkshake once. I'll continue to come back for the breakfast, but just like everything else, the customer service isn't all that good, and neither are the prices. read more

This is the WORST Dunkin Donuts in the area and I would go out of my way just to avoid it! It used to be a great location, but change in management or something made it fall considerably. They barely ever have any donuts there by mid morning, which I might say, "shame on me" for not getting there earlier, BUT....EVERY OTHER Dunkin in the area DOES have donuts mid morning and even later. This suggests to me that the management at the St. John location doesn't make additional donuts throughout the day. If that's the case, they should just close each morning or just change their name to Dunkin, because their aren't any donuts to dunk. This is not just during COVID either....it has been like this for about three years or so now. If you want to go to a Dunkin' Donuts that actually HAS donuts, go to the one that's only about a mile away on Hart/Sheffield Street and 81st or the one on Route 30 in Dyer or even the one on Route 30/Route 41.....much better selection and atmosphere at any of those other locations. read more

*UPDATE* After a few phone calls, I was able to return the recalled tumbler and I also received a gift card for my issues. I spoke with manager Asra while I was in the store; we had a pleasant and productive conversation about the certain employee who has NO customer interaction/satisfaction skills. Asra assured me that said employee will be addressed that we should return to the pleasant DD we have come to appreciate in St. John. The remaining employees are truly friendly and I look forward to seeing them tomorrow morning! I've worked retail and food and have an understanding of the pace and challenges presented. I have been to this Dunkin' a few times, and the last two times in a row I encountered a very rude employee who yelled at my sister and I the first time and had very bad attitude with my boyfriend and I the second time. The first time, I was nice about it and did not do anything about it because I know people can have bad days. However; we were fed up with it the second time. Why is zero stars not an option? I wish someone would explain to me how we live in one of the nicest towns in the entire state of Indiana, (St. John) but have the worst Dunkin. I don't even know where to begin. Today, I took my 4 year old to this location in attempts to get ice cream. We went to the drive thru and ordered a "creature creation". They have 3 different options listed on their menu, but they somehow only have 1 in stock. I was told to pull up by the unpleasant staff member working the window. I have encountered this girl before, and let me tell you, she needs a lesson in customer service. I don't think she even knows the words "thank you". The sad part is, I'm not much older than she is, and the times I have been there, she has had a terrible attitude. Find a new job? Everyone's hiring. The best part of the story is that the unpleasant staff member hands me a fork through the window as I hand her my card to pay. A FORK. I said "umm.. this is a fork. Do you have a spoon.?" She said "no ma'am we do not have spoons". I said "you're seriously joking me, how is my 4 year old going to eat ice cream with a fork.." as she replies "we don't have spoons". Now in what world does that make any sense. Baskin Robins doesn't have spoons in stock? Drive one mile down the street to Target or Strack & Van Til and BUY A BOX OF SPOONS TO GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS. Truly unbelievable. I called corporate and explained the situation. The nice man told me he would be in contact with the branch and that he will have the manager call me. What a terrible trip. This is not the first time I have encountered this nasty employee either, which honestly prompted me to call corporate. This is hands down one of the worst DDs I've been to. As others mentioned, the issues that I've encountered multiple times revolve around bad customer service, running out of product, and getting my order wrong, even when the receipt shows my order was taken down correctly. Like I said, I've seen the same type of mistake happen two or more times. This is the definition of a pattern. I gave them too many chances but it's not worth the aggravation. They have an issue with complex orders. Ex. Light sugar, regular cream. They'll only hear the first or second part. Mine was exactly backwards from what I ordered. I ordered light cream, extra sugar and then repeated it at the window to make sure it was right and was told yes. I get the cup and its marked cream, light sugar. I pointed it out to the person, they take the cup and bring me back a new one. I drive off and found a block away find its the same coffee in the new cup. I dumped it and went to Starbucks. 3x the money but least my order is right then. The time saved it worth it. It's not just this DD with that issue, it sseems to be the norm in the south suburbs. Ugh. This is the worst I've ever had. You'd expect some kind of standard across the board for a chain. I think they pour the cup 1/2 full, then top it off from the tap. I've been here twice and it tastes so watered down. I'm going to have to start going up 41 all the way to 30 and hope the one in Dyer is better. Although I guess as long as I don't get a bottle of water when I order coffee, it can't be any worse. Another thing is when you order in the morning, you picture a disgruntled employee that hates his life and everyone that comes in when you hear his voice over the speaker.
