We love Rise 'n Roll bakery. We found it years ago at Farmers Market in Chicago. We love the donut holes, cheese, apple butter and granola. The moon pies are delightful as well. Coffee is tasty as well. Worth a stop if you are in the area. read more

I came here from Chicago to give this place a try. I absolutely love Amish bakery goods and food. I bought a half dozen donuts which was $10.99 for the specialty donuts. I really enjoyed the peanut butter filled doughnut which has peanut butter and marshmallow cream inside. That one was excellent. I also really liked the black raspberry cream filled, which reminds me of a black raspberry whipped cream inside. I did not like the caramel cream filled one. I think it was just a little too sweet for me. Maybe it would be OK in moderation but not the whole donut. The bakery is very nice inside they sell an assortment of everything, also have free parking and they are super friendly. They offered me a free coffee when I was in there which was very nice. I come here for cherry pie. The small cherry pie is as it's always been. The large cherry pie is different and disgusting, I couldn't eat it. I took it back and showed her the difference you can clearly see in the picture. Both pies say cherry pie on them. The owner said one was cherry filling and she refused a substitute pie!! How can both pies say cherry pie on them but the filling is different and she refuses to exchange them! I guess because they've been doing so well they think that they can just take peoples money with no recourse . I suggest you go to the cookie place right across from there. read more

Love the donuts. Customer service severely lacking. I placed an order in the evening last Friday for pickup shortly before they closed. I did not make it in time before they closed, and went to my party empty handed. That's on me. But when I asked if I could get donuts another day, or a discount, or anything at all I was told no. It's not like they held product all day that would've sold- I called them about an hour before close. So they would've sold old donuts the next day or tossed a couple packages. But no, they can't do anything for me but thank me for the 50 bucks I've donated now to the bakery. That's frustrating. What happened to looking after people? All week I dream about the donuts here! Seriously the cinnamon caramel ring is what dreams are made of. They also have amazing cinnamon buns and beef jerky. I will probably be making the 45 min drive from the Chicago suburbs at least once a month now after discovering this amazing bakery. I recently went back to this location, I downgraded my stars. Everytime I go here they are all out of product. It's poor management in my opinion. I asked about it and was told you have to come before 12 o'clock. If you only have product till 12 then maybe you should adjust your hours. If I were managing, I would continuously increase my order on all days until I ran out closer to closing time. I told the manager, I love the product but I hate coming to their store because it's a big let down to come there to empty shelves. read more

It may be a pre-fab franchise, but the quality and attention to detail shines through and you can really taste it. Literally. Because there are multiple sample stations peppered all through the bakery for you to try almost everything on their menu like the cookies and cinnamon rolls. Feeling guilty for stuffing my face on free samples, I picked out a peanut butter filled chocolate donut. The peanut butter filling was smooth and creamy and almost too rich to finish. The chocolate was not quite as good as the ones at Firecakes, but saving me a drive to the city makes up the difference. Where to start? This place is amazing, expensive, but deliciously amazing. Their doughnuts are the best you'll ever eat. I bought some and we ate them 3 days in a row, so I decided to do an experiment. I wanted to see how many days they would retain their deliciousness. After 4 days they tasted stale, after 6 days they were getting a little hard and the glaze was getting slimy, but they will never last that long. The toffee is also some of the best I've ever had. The pecan is the beat with the chocolate pecan coming in second. I will be back and I'm going to try EVERYTHING in the shop. read more

The cookies tasted like fruit loops which I didn't care for but their quality was great, just not my taste.
