We finally scored our first drop of 4 Grain and got to experience our first special event, Night at the Distillery! What a great night! The weather was perfect, the actors were amazing, the cocktails were on point, and that bacon Chex Mix was the BOMB! And getting to taste Eagle Rare 12 Year? Well, that was the icing on the cake! Since my husband was already unloading, I looked back apologetically and told her "4" (to send them to 4) and she looked at me with exasperation for not following her directions. A minute later she came from behind me and physically took the rolly shopping basket from my hand saying "let me have it." I let it slide without comment or even acknowledgment so I wouldn't make a scene. Not 60 seconds passes and this hyper woman is back in my face telling me to scoot over so the people at register 4 could check out with room to spare I guess. I fully turned around and pointed out the physical delineation of their own checkout stand and pointed out that I'm physically 100% on my side of register 5. We hurried to get out of the madness and away from that control freak who wouldn't leave me alone only to realize all of the extras we bought didn't get the military discount after my husband showed the check out clerk his military ID. And as those of you who've read my reviews before already know, "Any restaurant that serves Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale automatically gets an extra star in my book!" But with so many other options in Frankfort, this one probably won't make my list of places to revisit.
