I totally understand that things get busy sometimes, especially when there's a large event happening in town! However, phrasing and delivery are EVERYTHING in the food/drink/hospitality industry. The same barista also acted annoyed when my friend asked for additional flavoring in her caramel macchiato. This was definitely a little off-putting. If/when we return to the area, we may give it another shot. But, I hope we will feel a bit more welcome next time.

When I arrived at Kroger I got my motorized shopping cart and then picked up an ad to check out. Due to handicap parking availability I parked at the opposite entrance than I normally enter. Upon entering the store I spotted Starbucks and decided this would be the ideal addition to a cold day. So rather than drive my cart, check the ad, pick up groceries and drink my coffee I decided to park out of the way, turn off my cart and enjoy a hot brew while writing out my grocery list. Flabbergasted, I asked her if she really wanted to sit and argue the point or if she would like to just stop insulting me to which she mumbled something under her breath and turned and walked over to a supply as if she had something else to do. I am certainly not a customer that believes the customer is always right, or expect anything above and beyond ... but I do expect not to be argued with and not be told thatI am lying. It's enough for me for you to simply take my order, smile, and then make my drink. After all of this my sandwich was like warm which I know is not a likely outcome with the ovens Starbucks uses. I am sometimes disappointed with the drink temperature not being very hot, which hastens consumption to enjoy it while it's at its best. We have sat out on the patio, especially when we bring our dog along for the ride. We have also sat inside in the open cafe area as well as the open concept "meeting room", which is the same as being in the cafe, except having a larger table surface to accommodate more people and perhaps paperwork, laptops, etc. Noise level is moderate to loud and very, very difficult to have a typical volume conversation. The benefit -- the space is Free. Can't beat Free. With this experience of the space, I have adjusted my expectations and go here for drinks only and prefer not to linger any longer than necessary. I will continue to search elsewhere to satisfy my craving for a serene space to enjoy multiple beverages over a time period of 1-2 hours while enjoying the company of my friends.
