I decided to give your shop another chance and I brought 3 of my friends in to be fair. We love your shop, but all of us agreed that your coffee really is not good. Two of us had espresso drinks and two of us had regular coffees. We all looked at each other and just shook our heads. I'm sorry but it's just not very good. My uncle told me he bought a pound of beans and took it home to brew it. He's very particular about his coffee, but he said it was undrinkable and tossed the bag. The cashier lady had very long hair that wasn't tied back...wasn't an issue until she went back to make my sandwich. At that time she kept flipping her hair out of her face and I then noticed she didn't wear gloves the entire time! Yuck! It's been a hot minute since I visiting Brick + Mortar. Located in Simpsonville Brick + Mortar serves up some of the best coffees and has the biggest scones I've ever seen. And they beat those chain stores that just look pretty and taste like flour. They're actually beautiful and delicious. If you need a unique gift they have lots of goodies you can purchase. The honey lavender latte wasn't on the menu; but, I decided to go with the Dirty Chai. Yummy!!!! It went perfectly with the cranberry dark chocolate scone with vanilla drizzle that I had to take home. They're that big. Whether you're visiting the outlet mall or just passing through make a stop at Brick + Mortar. Fabulous small businesses are the best. read more

I was recently introduced to Brick+Mortar while working a wedding, and I immediately fell in love. I was given an iced coffee that was bold, flavorful, and seriously hit the spot. I have since been to the store 3 times in the past 10 days. They serve a gluten free pumpkin chocolate chip and a coconut bread that are to die for. They're great cold, and served warm they're next level AH-MAZING. I'm excited to see what other gluten free offerings will be available as seasons change. Their drink selection is quite broad, so there really is something for everyone here. So far I've tried their current selection of seasonal hot drinks: Lumberjack, Oatmeal, Maple Bourbon, Pumpkin Pie. I'm unsure as to which flavor is my favorite. They're excellent with oat milk, I haven't purchased any gifts from the boutique, but they have a great selection. I would love for them to open another location or two!
