Delicous boba that isn't overly sweet if you request them to adjust the sugar level appropriately. I like the taste and texture of the tapioca bubbles, chewy but soft. The Taro slush and milk tea are both yummy.

    Winter Melon Tea with bubbles

Still my favorite bbtea spot i finally trying some new teas. My go to will forever be winter melon milk tea with bubbles or taro/regular milk tea. I am unhealthy and don't care getting full sugar but if my friends make me feel bad i'll get less sugar and it still tastes fine haha. I am usually nervous to try any non like milk tea flavors but this time i took a chance and tried the rosehip lemonade punch. Omg if you like SOURRR now i understand why they call it a punch, i just thought the name was cute and because of the colors/it being fruity. I love sour so i was fine with it but others justt a heads upp haha. Gotta get all these with bubbles cause it aint bbtea without em! Staff is always very nice!

Kung Fu milk tea with lots of bubbles

Two weeks ago I passed the Kung Fu Tea kiosk and I was too intimidated to order anything - so many choices! And what the hell are "bubbles"? But tonight I pulled myself together and made a decision 10 minutes before they closed for the night. I thought I'd start with one of their most popular drinks, Kung Fu Milk Tea. I ordered it with 70% sugar, less ice and bubbles. The milk tea itself was delicious. It reminded me a bit of thai tea. I found the bubbles, which are black tapioca, to be distracting. I wanted a good swig of the milk tea but each time the drink was full of bubbles and sometimes clogged the straw. Next time I'm getting my drink without any of the "extras". Less ice wasn't bad but I still wanted it colder, so I personally wouldn't recommend the drink with no ice. My 70% sweetness was nice and I'm going to stick with that. Cup sizes are medium and large. I recommend upgrading to large for only 50 cents more. Quick service tonight - and the lady taking my order was very friendly. She answered a couple of questions for me and I watched her do the same for others. She understood the number of choices could be intimidating.

The only thing that stinks about this location is that it's in a mall so before I start this review... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE... OPEN UP A SPOT SOMEWHERE IN THE HIGHLANDS, GERMANTOWN, or maybe even NULU. I noticed people checking in and posting pictures of this place on Friday evening(Thanks Mia and Thao). As soon as I saw there was a new boba tea place, I absolutely had to go as soon as I could. There are only a few places to get it in Louisville but none of those places are dedicated tea or boba tea places. So it goes... I decided to stop in here before a party on a Saturday... all during the Saturday before Xmas. Some cringe at the thought of all those shopping people. Me? Worth it! This location is just a box in the middle of the mall. You order your drink which could be in the form of Classic, Milk Tea, Milk Strike, Punch, Slush, Yogurt or a seasonal flavor. From there you choose additional toppings. Those toppings include boba, oreo, pudding, different jellies and different beans. You can even choose your sugar level! Unfortunately, when I got there they were out of boba. That's unfortunate but I can also understand since it's the holiday weekend. That likely won't be the typical experience once the holiday passes. My order: I ordered the Mango Green Tea. Anything mango goes to the top of the list with me. I added mango jelly and aloe jelly. One of the workers even commented on how this drink was delicious. That's always a good sign. While they were out of boba this time around, this mango drink did have chunks of mango to suck up through the straw that made up for it. I'm in love. While this drink was to die for, I also can't wait to go back to have some of their teh susu(Sorry. My Indonesian learning is coming through. I couldn't resist fitting it in this review somewhere). Honestly, they have so many flavors that I think it would be impossible to not find something you love. You can check me(with my picture I posted) but I think they have close to 50 different flavors you can order. It's close to Starbucks in the mall and that location normally has a line. This particular night, people were noticeably standing around and upset that it was taking so long to get their coffee. You guys can keep your overpriced sugary coffee drinks. Give me Kung Fu Tea anytime/all the time. I'll be making multiple trips back to the mall specifically for this place. I'll keep my fingers crossed that one opens outside of the malls somewhere.

I'm going to be a total millennial right now. There are not a lot of things that take me to the mall these days. It's not Amazon or Stitchfix. I'm doing the Marie Kondo thing and I don't need any more stuff. With that said, throw in a small exception to go to Dillards to see if I could find more dresses for work. I found what I needed, and then wandered around to see what else was new in this place. I stumbled upon Kung Fu Tea, thanks to Yelp Elite Thao T! The menu was extensive, with so many options and customizations. My favorite go-to drink has been Thai Tea or Matcha. For this first go, I went for Thai Tea with Boba, low on sweetness and ice. It was easy to order, and I waited for a bit in the fancy new seating areas around the space. My drink when ready was heavenly. I have very rarely had good boba, but Kung Fu Tea was something new. This was delicious and so yummy. I guess I have more reasons to go to the mall now.

    Bubble Caramel Macchiato

I loooove bubble tea/drinks and am always looking for new places to try them, and I had never had Kung Fu before. I got their Bubble Caramel Macchiato. It was really, really tasty and they don't hold back on the bubbles. Loved it!

Ok, maybe I'll save money now and not travel 2+ hours for boba tea. WHO AM I KIDDING?! Kung Fu Tea finally made it move to Louisville. Only place in Louisville that serve decent, true, good boba tea. Boba tea, bubble tea. (Same thing) My favorite so far has to be black milk tea with red bean and egg pudding! 50% less sweet. (Yes you can adjust your sweetness and ice level) You have to add tapioca pearls in it if you want the bubble. It's about 50 cent per toppings. I would love for this to be outside of the mall. This is probably the only reason I walk into St.Matthew.

If you've never had boba tea/bubble tea before, you're in luck! Louisville (Finally) just opened a well-known big city chain boba tea location. So what is it? Boba tea and bubble tea are used interchangeably to describe a popular tea based drink that has its start in Taiwan in the 1980s. Freshly brewed tea is shaken/mixed with various fruit flavors and/or milk. Added to the drink are chewy tapioca balls, juice balls (popping boba), flavor jellies, beans, pudding, etc. You can get it with ice or in a slushy form like a smoothie. It's usually served in a clear plastic cup with a large straw, so you can suck out the large chunky toppings and bobas. Kung Fu Tea has the largest selection in Louisville and by far the best tasting in the city. If you are from the big city with many boba tea shops, you will find it lacking. But for us small city folks, this place hits the spot. The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly (thought still a little inexperienced). I like that there is a large selection of toppings and that you can choose the sweetness level of your drink. Not all flavors are available yet and they might mess up your order because they are still learning. But definitely come check it out! It's located inside Mall St. Matthews, by the food court. It's right in front of Kay Jewelers, near Starbucks. Asians love their boba teas, so it'll be Asian Central for a while :-D

Louisville has been craving a good bubble tea place and now we have it. The milk teas are spot on, not too sweet. The service is very welcoming and friendly. I came here when it was their "soft opening" which is basically a surprise opening before the opening and it was not what I was expecting, everyone was brand new and didn't know anything and the teas were unsweet and the bubbles were too chewy and cooked wrong. But i gave them another try today and I am glad that I did. The tea is sweeter but not too sweet it's the perfect amount for people who crave sweetness but lack a sweet tooth. I got the Taro Milk Green Tea with Herbal Jelly, the herbal Jelly is SO good and the tea isn't purple as to be expected but still very tasty. The Mango Jelly Punch is very refreshing, every sip comes with chunks of mango jelly and aloe. They do not skimp of how much toppings they give you! The Wintermelon Tea is a little sweet but still refreshing and very good. One the staples to get when you're here. BUT my all time favorite is the classic Kung Fu Milk Tea and I was not disappointed with how this one was made. Sweeter than the Taro but so much more tastier. I highly recommend all teas but if you are ever wondering which jelly to get you can't go wrong with Herbal because it is not at all sweet so it goes with every drink in my opinion. The size difference is weird bc a large is much bigger than a medium so it's more like a small and a large but the more the merrier! I am glad Louisville has a Milk Tea place now but I hope that we can get one outside of the mall bc I would love to come here without fighting for Mall/Cheesecake Factory parking bc they are located in the Food Court.
