Slow but friendly service stopped by this location and used the drive threw and I waited at least a good 5 to 10 minutes before my two drinks came out and they only had one car ahead of me! So I once the lady finally makes her way to the window I tell her I wanted the Happy Hour discount and she tells me that I need the app downloaded so long story short I didn't have enough time to down load the app to my phone so she just gave us one of the drinks for free so that's why I gave them a five star because who doesn't like free stuff! A decent Starbucks location in Lexington. The store was clean and the staff were friendly. They had a good selection of the Holiday Menu available and my Peppermint Mocha Frappe was well made. My husband, however, can't get a decent Black and White Mocha to save his life, apparently. Our order took a bit... A guy that ordered well after I placed my mobile order was served before us because they had made ours and taken it to the drive through instead of the mobile pick-up counter. I absolutely love this Starbucks. It is conveniently located, quick, the staff is wonderful, and my drinks are always even more wonderful. No matter how packed the restaurant is, it never takes more than a couple minutes to get through the drive through. I've never left this location without a compliment from one of the baristas. And my drinks are always perfect with extra little things like coco powder on the whipped cream and such, something I don't usually get at other locations. I'm sorry, but I have to rate this location low. I love Starbucks and will give other ones higher ratings but this one needs some work. First of all, they are typically pretty slow with their service. For example, this morning I waited in line at about 6:30am for 15 minutes in the drive thru!!!!!! From the time I ordered my beverage (6:37am, according to the tag on the cup) to the time I got it (6:46am, when I looked at my clock) it had been about 15 minutes. This is unacceptable. I went through the drive thru this morning because yesterday I went inside and had the same experience with the efficiency. Super frustrating. Also, they messed up my order. I have had the same beverage I ordered this morning (vanilla sweet cream cold brew) at another location and it was 10x better. This one tasted nothing like it. Again, I went yesterday AND this morning and had the same results. I thought yesterday was a fluke but now I don't. I've also bee several other times and have been very frustrated with how slow the service is. Again, I love Starbucks and usually have really good service and coffee but not this one. Each time has left me frustrated and each time I try to give them another chance but I need to stop wasting my money. ***UPDATE: I went in yesterday (6/7/16) and told them about the issues I had and they gave me my money back for the 2 drinks. This is a good Starbucks. Employees are very friendly and always willing to make your drink however you want it. My mom is very picky about her Starbucks and often times employees give her a hard time about making a Pour-over if they don't have her favorite coffee brewing. This branch of Starbucks is much smaller than your usual shop. Inside it has only a few tables, and overall it's a location with a lot of drive-thru traffic. I've never personally had a terrible experience at this location, but there's also nothing at this location that goes above and beyond. The drinks and food come out as expected, but the servers are never overly friendly like you get at other Starbucks locations. So, depending on whether you enjoy small talk with your barista, this may or may not be a good thing. Because of it's location, there's also only a very small parking lot of about 4 or 5 spaces. It also can get quite busy during the regular busy times (which I avoid), so the drive thru line can get wrapped around the building into the gas station lot next door. It can also be a huge pain to get out onto Broadway turning left - I usually opt to go the long way, out behind the gas station onto Virginia to turn left at the light. This location can be a bit more of a headache than other locations in Lexington; however, it's the closest location to my house, so I frequent it more often than not. So all that said, 3 stars seems about all I can give it. read more

I recently checked out this particular location for the first time despite being a Starbucks regular (and gold member), and living just a couple of miles away. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Along with a cold brew coffee that came as expected, I ordered a swiss, ham, and egg croissant that was severely over-cooked to the point that I had to tear off at least a third of the croissant to even make the sandwich edible. Beyond this, my visit was enjoyable and productive despite the relatively crowded atmosphere. This location probably wouldn't be able to comfortably accommodate a study group, but if you've got some work to do alone then it may suffice, so long of course that they are able to provide higher quality food than what I received. read more

I don't usually write reviews for chains, but this Starbucks is killing me. They have never - not once - gotten my order right. Keep in mind, my usual order is either a "green tea, sweetened" or a "black tea and lemonade, unsweetened." I'm not talking skinny-soy-hold-the-whatever-extra-this-and-that. Just iced tea with simple syrup in it (as to why I pay $4 for such a basic beverage...I have no answers). So simple you'd think it impossible to mess up! You'd be wrong. They are literally batting a zero. Zero percent accuracy. A friend of mine corroborated this experience, though she says they are quick to comp her drink (hence the two stars instead of one) - I haven't experienced such generosity since I've always gone through the drive through. Wonderful staff at this location. They are always pleasant and friendly. Once when they were out of turkey bacon for a breakfast sandwich I like, the manager comped me another sandwich and apologized for the inconvenience. I didn't complain or ask for anything at all. He just did it. It is always clean inside and the drive-thru service is quick and efficient. I run through the window at least twice a week in the morning. I will drive out of my way to go to this Starbucks no matter where I am in Lexington due to the quality of staff here. read more

Went there at 11:30 a.m. on a Sunday and they were out of two breakfast sandwiches, matcha mix, and pastries. What upset us the most was that they let us order, and then waited until after we paid at the window to then tell us everything was out of stock. I just got home from the drive-through Starbucks on Broadway in Lexington, Ky. I live about five minutes away, so usually if I don't drink my drink until I get home, it's cool enough to not burn my tongue. So I didn't notice until I was home and took a sip that my latte -- which *should* be espresso with steamed milk and foam on top -- was ice cold. How was this possible? The time stamp on the sticker was accurate for when I ordered it, and it was only a five minute drive home. So I opened the lid to examine it...and discovered it was a cup full of cold milk added to my espresso. Regular milk. No wonder it was cold! I don't know who thought they could pass a cup of caffeinated milk off for a latte, but this is undrinkable. And because I'm home already, I'm unable to let them know my drink was made incorrectly. This isn't the first issue I've had at this location, but charging me $6 for a (hot) drink that is ice cold and incorrectly made is egregious. read more

I'm writing a review here so I can be the first one. It's Starbucks, ok? The only thing that seperates these from each other is the service. I find the service here to be really hit or miss (although always 'OK"). When I go there in the AM sometimes there is a guy that works that is personable and energetic, when I go there in the afternoon sometimes through the drive through I have had a pretty positive experience. However, when I go IN the place, in the afternoons, I have had some pretty lackluster service. Like I said though...it's Starbucks and it's ok. read more
