There's a THB back home in California but I've never visited until I came to Kentucky and I'm happy I finally got to try it. They have a big menu with customizable drinks, my favorite so far has been the Java chip smoothie with oat milk. It's really creamy and not overly sweet and almost has a chocolate dipped strawberry flavor to it but it's subtle, it's just different than other Java chips drinks I've tried before. This one is much tastier. Service is great, everyone was so friendly, informative and quick! Of course I can't not mention the espresso bean you get with your drink that's always a cool treat. As it was our first time they were kind enough to give us a few more. Highly recommend this shop! read more

So recently, I had an opportunity to check out the Human Bean at their new location on Richmond Road. The staff was fantastic at that location and advised me that the original local coffee shop was on Harrodsburg Road. So this week, when I was in the area, I decided to stop in at the Harrodsburg Road store. It is located across the road from the cycle shop and not too far from Lane Allen Road intersection. I have driven past the store for years. Lots of traffic in the area and so easy just to pass them by. I am glad I was advised to stop in this store. I ordered my standard light roast with heavy whipping cream DELICIOUS!!! The staff at the Harrodsburg Road establishment is just as friendly as the Richmond Road location. Kudos to management in hiring great staff and providing quality product. I will be back. read more

My coffee is always consistently amazingly wonderful! The staff are always (and I do mean ALWAYS) very friendly, professional, and thrive to make my order correct. There was a time when my order wasn't correct, I didn't taste the coffee before leaving as it was very hot. Because of time restraint, I had to come back a couple hours later to complain. They listened to the problem, corrected it, apologized, and went above and beyond to make up for their mistake. Don't be fooled by the small little building. This has been my go-to coffee stop for the past couple of months as it is on my way to work. Their service is fast, friendly, and flexible; often sending out someone with mobile ordering to keep things moving when it gets busy. I appreciate this in the mornings when it can get a little hectic. I only wish the person who parks their car directly in front would realize they're blocking a potential emergency exit in the drive-thru. I bounce between their medium roast with almond milk and their red bull refreshers when i'm needing a little pick-me-up. Both are delicious, and reasonably priced. I only just started using their mobile app, so I cannot speak yet to their rewards, but I appreciate the online ordering. I like this place a lot cause they have a much wider variety of drinks than other coffee shops. Usually get either a Sugar Free Chai Tea Latte or a Matte since can't get those at other coffee shops. Have had their basic Steve Smith Tea, and both light and dark coffee blends. Haven't tried their big selection of smoothies yet, but when summer comes I probably will. Drink also comes with chocolate covered bean on top of cup, always like that. Only complaint is no indoor dining area. Can't sit inside with wifi on a laptop or read like other coffee shops. There is 1 table outside, but it really is just a drive thru place. Awesome drink selection! read more

They have a nice variety of drinks that are super tasty and a nice addition to the coffee scene in Lexington. Trying to give Starbucks a break & try other coffee spots out. I've been here twice and both times there was no long lines like there are at Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts. Really appreciate the drive-thru and menu variety. Staff offered help and seem eager to serve. I tried a hazelnut latte with almond milk & the 2nd trip a caramel hazelnut...both hot and both were tasty. I really like the treat you get with each drink, nice touch. I really love this little drive-through coffee spot. All of the baristas I have interacted with have been so friendly and welcoming on every visit. This is the perfect place if you happen to live in the area or are passing by to just grab a quick drive through latte. This is a drive through coffee shop so the environment is not relevant. The service is okay. The staff is younger and at times say inappropriate things in front of you but it's pretty easy to look past. The coffee itself is pretty good and is served with one of my favorites a chocolate covered coffee bean. I don't particularly love their hot coffees but they're not bad. My go to here is the Java Chip and it's very consistent and predictable. Recommend giving this place a try. read more

The drive thru lane is nice and long, which may sound like a weird thing to mention, but anyone who has been in the crazy drive thru lane at the Broadway Starbucks will understand! I ordered a small caramel cold brew (they don't have iced coffee that isn't cold brew), and it was delightful! The coffee was smooth and the caramel syrup wasn't overly sweet. Their menu has a nice variety, with all kinds of hot coffee and espresso drinks as you'd expect, frozen coffee drinks, smoothies, and even a dedicated kids menu! This place is unbelievable. I've been getting coffee here ever since it first opened and I always get the same exact drink every time. My order has went from being consistently $5.83 to now being a different price every time which today topped out at $7.89?! And it's all high school or maybe college kids working there, so when I ask them about the charge they don't know how to handle it so they just brush it off. Defiantly a place to go for a really good coffee or fruit smoothie. Very convenient, on the right side when traveling into town on Harrodsburg road. If you are in a hurry, the drive thru setup is perfect to keep traffic flowing! Unlike other coffee places, their coffee is smooth and delightful. Not bitter or burnt tasting. I am a caffeine addict so of course I hit the few drive throughs Lexington has. My drink is a hot Americano, and when I order it HOT at HB I tell them to make it as hot as they can.....and they do ! Also, the drive through line generally moves well, I think the owner has stressed the importance of keeping that line moving. Finally they are not obnoxious in pushing the tips. HB is probably my fave coffee stop in Lex, and I have been in all of them. Oh yeah, and the thickly covered chocolate coffee bean is just enough sweet. Love me some HB. read more
