I don't live far, but I've had a hard time finding spots to post up for a bit outside of Privi at Stonecrest. From my first visit, I felt so welcomed. The staff was friendly and the menu had plenty of options. I've been a couple of times now, and I have to admit--I haven't quite nailed my coffee order yet. That's completely on me though. The first time, I tried "Falling in Love with Biscoff." It looked amazing, and so did the pastries, so I added a slice of banana bread. That was the mistake--because it was so good that everything after just couldn't compete. The drink was way too sweet for me, especially after that banana bread. On my next visit, I decided to keep it simple with a matcha, but someone suggested adding blueberry syrup. Knowing I don't usually do flavors in my matcha, I went for it anyway. Again... on me! Even with my off-ordering luck, I love the vibe here. Tammy was in when I arrived, and she is such a light--it was a pleasure meeting her. I'll definitely be back. Simple, fresh, and exactly what I wanted. The place itself is really cute, and the bathrooms are unisex and very clean (which I always notice). Staff was friendly and everything felt easy. When patrons are sat in section of your wait staff and they are busy attending other tables, the last thing you should do is not acknowledge their presence. Today, we sat and watched the staff walk by us a couple of times without saying a single word. Now, we can see that they are busy, but to not acknowledge us is unacceptable. If you would have said, " good morning, I will be with your folks" OR any kind of communication to us would have been nice. I then flagged down the hostess( Aiyana) WHO WAS REALLY SWEET AND HELPFUL, to see whose section we were in. She apologized and went to let the young lady know to stop by our table. The hostess is the one who then brought us water. Eventually, the waitress finally made it our table with a greeting that was more mechanical/robotic , than caring.
