Whenever I'm visiting family in central NJ, Grounded for Life is a must visit for me…read more As a vegan, it's a real challenge to find decent - let alone GOOD - food in this area. The exception is Grounded for Life, which offers delicious breakfast and lunch options that are thoughtfully prepared, delicious, and satisfying. Their extensive, all vegan menu offers breakfast options such as bagel sandwiches, burritos, toasts, and more, and even their coffee is surprisingly good! I have also enjoyed their wraps, bowls, and sandwiches. And they even have burgers and hot dogs, too. GfL is my new spot for takeout (order ahead online to save time!) before heading to the airport. The chunky chicken wrap saved me when my flight back to the West coast (already a long journey) was delayed by several hours and I was starving. The cafe also has a number of yummy desserts displayed in the case that are great to-go. GfL also offers a "Meal Prep" option where you can order food on a weekly or monthly basis. Service is friendly and efficient, but they are sometimes understaffed. Try to be patient and nice, and your tasty food will be out soon enough. The cafe itself is pretty small with just a few tables indoors. The outdoor patio is more expansive, and I recommend enjoying your food and drinks outside if the weather is decent.

Hi, we visited late Father's Day Sunday afternoon, 6/21/2026. The shop is lovely, the ice cream is…read moreexcellent, the service is very good. I don't usually write reviews, but you're charging $8.75 for what signs in the shop and the counter person called "a pint" of ice cream. My wife was so upset at the sizing that she refused to have any ice cream. Our boys and I went ahead with the purchase despite the price. Now, charge whatever you want if people are okay paying it, but the "pint" clearly wasn't really a pint. Truth in advertising still matters. The "pint" paper container actually holds about a cup of ice cream. We know this because I saved the container, brought it home, and measured its volume. One measuring cup of water (8 oz.) filled the container pretty close to full, about half an inch from the top. You have a lovely shop and I wish you much success. At the same time, please stop telling customers that they're buying a "pint" of ice cream when they're really buying about a cup of ice cream. Label it something else, "Standard," "Regular," "Large" (compared to the pops), or whatever. Calling something a pint when it clearly isn't only hurts your credibility as a proprietor and sullies the customer experience. Thank you.

My girls had a peanut butter & jelly sandwich and scrambled eggs with toast and bacon, while I enjoyed a tuna sandwich. Everything was absolutely delicious and you could immediately tell it was homemade. The atmosphere is wholesome, warm, and welcoming. The owner was incredibly sweet and friendly, especially with my daughters, which made the visit feel extra special. One of the highlights for my kids was the chalkboard tables. They were thrilled to be able to draw while we waited for our food! The café is filled with charming local art, playful gnome decorations, and an overall cozy vibe that makes you feel right at home. This is exactly the kind of small-town spot you hope to find. Great food, wonderful people, and a fun, family-friendly environment. We'll definitely be back!

We loved everything about this place! Summertime is a great…read moreseason to explore places far and away especially rest for great food. ‍ As I was searching for farms and produce stands, I noticed this business and since I love pancakes here, there and everywhere, I planned a day away that included farm stands, backroad NJ scenic driving and fruity pancakes. Due to circumstances beyond my control, we arrived at noon on Thursday, breakfast ended at 11am and so we pivoted to lunch items that included a Boars Head cheesesteak, chips and pickle plus a really tasty cheeseburger . As we were leaving, my husband decided on a large chocolate peanut butter milkshake which he deemed awesome. (Thanks Todd for stepping in and making one) We stopped at our pre planned list of farm stands and headed home. Very next day, Friday, up at dawn to get a few chores out of the way so we could head out to Gronsky's for the day #2 breakfast deadline! I prefer sitting at the counter and watching their magician, Tyler, assemble the food for orders, crack open the eggs, drop the pancake batter in the proper corner and keep all meats aligned for the plates. He's the king of that kitchen and each one of those servers is the queen doing the hustle, bustle, slide to the left, back up and move forward like square dancers on the move. From the Taylor ham, provolone and fried egg sandwich on that FRESH Kaiser roll to the omelette with those delicious home fries and my PEACH PANCAKE . . . . all of it was their special take on breakfast served their way. Almost 50 years, folks! Prices are absolutely reasonable for how the food is prepared and presented, quality ingredients cooked according to diners' specifications. What more can you ask for? We'll be back for September POTM!!

It was very busy when we got there, but they had three employees working between the walk-up window and the inside counter, so the line kept moving. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside, which made it easy for our group to find places to sit and enjoy our ice cream. Even with the crowd, the staff did a good job keeping up with the orders and everything moved along efficiently. If you're looking for a classic spot to grab some ice cream on a warm evening, Gronsky's is definitely worth a stop.
