Convenience: 5 stars Food: 4 stars Prices: 3 stars We have been going to Duner's Diner since it was Pair-A-Dice and over the years we have always made a point to head over for at least a cocktail every trip! The staff is super friendly and it almost feels like we're family every time, even though we don't know the staff personally. It's a beautiful building nowadays with lots of seating. Drinks are always well made and although prices are a little bit higher, it's expected being the only restaurant within 20 miles both directions. Breakfast bowls are usually our go to for breakfast; more recently they went to hash brown patties vice freshly made hash browns that were far more crispy and just all around better. I think that's my only complaint about the place. I really hope they go back to the diner style hash browns! I have had lunch and dinner here as well, they make a fantastic burger and while I don't recall what all I've eaten from the dinner menu, I do remember that I had no complaints! Busy weekends service takes a while and the food isn't as good however, if you beat the crowd or come on off weekends it's pretty quick and tasty. Fun place to ride as a destination spot! read more

Just rode from Glamis to GW for lunch at DD last week. I did not get the manager's name this visit but I don't think I have ever seen Duner's Diner run so efficiently. We literally had our food at the table within minutes of paying and it was PACKED. The manager was walking around monitoring the operations and staff - it was very clean, fast, friendly, helpful and the food and cocktails were EXCELLENT. read more

This place is worth the 18 mile dune drive from Glamis Gekko camping! The building is so beautiful, that's the first thing you notice. Someone spent some serious money building this place. We arrive at 10:45, after looking at the breakfast menu we decided to get some bloody Mary and wait until they change over to the lunch menu at 11. The bar is nice and fully stocked, the bloody Mary's are good but typical fair. We ordered burgers and fries, the food came out fast and was tasty. Your not going to this place for gourmet offerings. Your going to this place for the fun atmosphere, the ability to drive your ZRZ right up to the parking lot and talk to other sand enthusiasts! Been coming here for years, back when it was called Pair a dice diner . Amazing that you can dune in the middle of the desert, come across a place where you can order breakfast and bloody Mary's. All these Karen's complaining about one thing or another should just stay home or bring your own damn food. Yes service is slow sometimes but other than that just enjoy the fact that you can sit at a destination, Order a bloody Mary, shoot some hoops and relax for a hour or two. read more

It's a highly recommended place and it was good but not amazing. My taco salad was simple but tasty, but the fried tortilla tasted like oil and I could not eat it. Pulled pork was juicy and flavorful but not more than other places. Chicken sandwich was also good but again nothing incredible. Place has nice atmosphere but service was slow. Well, this is the second trip to Duners Diner. From standing in line to order and the time it took to receive our food was exactly 1 hour and 40 minutes. When we finally got out order, it was cold and my turkey club was nasty. I ran into some of these same issues on the first visit, with some pissy attitudes from the owners to go along with the crap service. I always like to give a place a second try. Unfortunately they need to take a look at their system for getting food out to folks. I really don't get the feeling they care all that much since it's sort of a popular place for the sand dunes. It does have a nice bar and the recent refurb made it esthetically pleasing. But the service and food needs another overhaul. Doubtful I'll ever go back. read more

Friendly service, a full bar, relaxing atmosphere, and tasty food! What more could you ask for?! We had the French toast and vegetarian eggs Benedict, and I had mimosas. The staff was friendly. Special thanks to the kind woman who runs the spot, she explained that the verde huevos rancheros were not vegetarian friendly (no problem, plenty of other veg options) and Levi the bar tender! Love me some Duner's Diner!! Our group makes at least one stop here every desert trip (1-2x a month). See a lot of neat people and cars/rhinos/quads/etc. The food is decent (not out of this world). The service is to be expected for a dusty and often hot pit stop in the desert. It is family run, and when it is slow, they actually talk to you and are super friendly. My kids like to play with the bartender's kids (owner's grandkids) that run around. We've had my son's 8th birthday party ride end here. Hamburgers and hot dogs are large. I've heard the breakfast bowls are good. My husband loves the chili cheese fries. The market is a bit pricey but they have a lot of what you need but always forget when camping. They have a parts store with a lot of items and you'd be surprised how comparable their prices are to the parts store in Yuma. read more

We have always loved the diner but since the reopening the quality of food is just not to par. First hamburger was raw in the middle and second was like a hockey puck... no flavor. Turkey sandwich had one lice of turkey on it. Best meal has been the iceberg salad and the jalapeños cheddar tots, can't go wrong there. Definitely need a new cook. Missed the diner for two years and just have been disappointed since re-grand opening read more

Ride 30 minutes out here, to wait an hour in line to order, and another hour and a half to get our food. Not once did I see a manger going around and checking on people, apologizing, or offering anything in return for the inconvenience. Whether or not this place is in the desert it's still a restaurant and we are paying customers that should be treated with respect. This is not what I expected after the remodel. read more

I wish I could have given ZERO stars but the 1 will do since they have a full bar and clean bathrooms...speaking of bar, the bartender was the rudest most un-personable, make you feel un welcome person ever. Actually, the whole place was that way. The food was eh, okay...took FOREVER and I could have cooked a better one back at camp in the motorhome (should have). We drove from glamis here after we heard there was a restaurant out there, we were excited and went in with high hopes for at least decent food and smiling faces....wrong. The old heavy woman that runs the place was rude, mean and would not even take a lunch order when lunch was in ten minutes...fine, give the cook the order in ten minutes...nope she said, not gonna happen (they were extremely slow, 2 other tables outside) she then sat herself back down, in her "spot" where she can see outside to the dining patio perfectly and glared at us the entire time...since the food was not good we had no problem leaving before we finished. Expect a 1 hour wait minimum for your food no matter how busy the place is Food quality pretty decent. Average check $12 for basic food and a soda per person. Clean facility, restrooms, and grounds. Improved with the ownership change. Usually open Fri, Sat and on Sun just mornings and winter Holiday periods. Indoor and outdoor seating. Pretty well stocked mini-mini market that just might have that standard broken part you need for your RV, Dune buggy or ATV. Good prices on 112 octane race gas in the 5 gal can last we checked. read more

We always ride from gecko campground down to the diner for lunch every time we go to glamis! The kids love running around and playing and the parents love the full bar! All the food I have tried is delicious! Prices are decent considering you're in the middle of the desert. Only way I think they could improve, is if fans or a mister system was put up. Would help with the heat and the flies! Other than that, love this place and will be go there every trip as long as they are open. Highly recommend it! read more

We went for breakfast and the service, food and drinks were awesome!! I ordered a side of eggs and my husband got a breakfast burrito. The yummy food came out promptly and the staff came to refill drinks with the quickness. We also got a Bloody Mary and OJ. Nothing special here but was happy they had them. read more

Such a great spot in the middle of nowhere! We got there about 30 minutes before close and the staff was super friendly. We had the cheeseburgers which were great and good size servings. Added plus they had mango cart beer on tap! Great atmosphere with TV's, bar set up, music, and lots of seating. Clean and well maintained. Easy to access off interstate 8 or about 30-45 minute drive (20 miles) from Gecko road through the dunes. Would definitely recommend and will be back. read more

My husband has been telling me about this place for about 5 years. He has raved and raved about the heart attack bowls and the food. So now that their remodel is done we decided to check it out before we head home from the dunes. I looked and looked to try and find pictures of the food, but couldn't so I figured I would write a review of my own. The food was at best mediocre. My kids had the pancakes which were ok but mostly rubbery. I had the eggs Benedict and they were ok. They lacked any real flavor. I added enough salt and pepper to make them palatable. I was excited because my bacon was crispy and honestly this was the highlight of my whole meal. My husband and son both ordered the heart attack bowl and I took a few bites to try it out. The taste was ok but mostly again no real flavor it was bland food. One of our friends ordered biscuits and gravy and it looked like milk over store bought biscuits. I didn't taste his but it looked gross. I am thinking that after a long weekend of drinking peoples taste buds are numb....it was a nice place for the kids as they had a little basketball court and sandbox for them to play in and the servers were fantastic. They earned their 3 stars mostly on that, again the food was decent just no flavor and not worth the money. read more

Great breakfast bowls and bloody Mary's are NO MORE!... Last season the original people running the Diner retired.. After that..Not sure who had the great idea of changing the Bloody Mary recipe along with the breakfast bowls.. Trying to save a couple cents will lose them alot of money.. Our group has been riding there to spend money for 13+ years..nobody wants to go back. Hope they change it back to original recipes.. read more

Awesome biscuits and gravy! Huge portions and the nicest people! They have a breakfast bowl with everymeat, eggs, biscuits, hashbrowns covered in gravy and cheese! Its plenty for us to share and their coffee is always fresh! We normally cook at camp but we always pick at least one meal to eat thete and normally its breakfast but this past season we went for dinner and i had the salmon and squash and it was better than most fish restaurants serve! The price is about on the money but with better food, service and plus its like family! We will be back Halloween i cant wait! Also...Chris this is for you, we miss and love you tons! This season i promise ill do it by myself this time ;-) read more
