We were referred to Peter Nalepa, owner of Dundee Services, for HVAC work, hanging a chandelier and a ceiling fan, and what we thought would be a simple toilet replacement. Furnace cleaning and inspection done in no time. Area was left cleaner than when he started the work! Ditto the hanging of the ceiling fixtures. Plumbing, however, turned out to be a major project. There was so much rotted wood beneath the floor that the floor needed to be removed and new supports put in for that bathroom and the adjacent one. So, we had Peter and his outstanding crew do a complete gut job and now we have two beautiful, functional bathrooms. We always thought one of the bathrooms could only be a half bath since the shower that was removed was ridiculously small. Peter's insight helped us design a full bath with a large walk-in shower. He knew exactly how to find pieces sized to fit the area we had. While we were at it, he pointed out that the current electrical system needed some work so he ran two new lines up through the attic and down into the bathrooms and bedrooms. He redid the electrical panel for us. While in the attic he noted a bit of leaking, so he went on the roof and patched some shingles. Then, since we liked the paint color so much that we chose for the baths, we asked him if he could extend the project even more and paint the dated and tired looking living room, hallway, and staircase. That job was done quickly and beautifully. Peter is the ultimate professional. He very carefully explained everything he was going to do, along with potential stumbling blocks (along with possible additional costs) he might find when opening up walls and such. The work done is amazing, cleanup is meticulous. He is extremely reasonable in pricing. And, unlike most projects, the final invoice from Dundee Services literally was within only a few dollars of what Peter originally estimated! We will go to Peter with any projects that come up in the future. I normally don't write reviews but Dundee Services did such great work I wanted to make sure I spread the word. First off, they are very knowledgeable and take the time to explain to you what the problem is. Secondly, they offer options. They were not trying to force me to buy something but rather were there to help. I used them for some minor plumbing work in my house and it was a very pleasant experience. They were in and out in about an hour and no issues. I had them back again to troubleshoot my AC unit. They stopped by the same day and gave me several options. Again, they were friendly and knowledgeable. They ended up replacing the AC condenser and the price was very reasonable. If I could give 6 stars I would! I was referred to Dundee Services and so happy that I was! My furnace was not working properly and called at about 5:30pm. To my surprise, Peter came out that night (within 30 minutes) to see if it was something that he could fix same day since it was supposed to be 90 degree weather the next few days. In a little over an hour, our furnace was working properly and at a VERY reasonable price!! Not only did the service and cost over exceed my expectations but Peter also gave us a few tips on some other topics... free of charge!!! When our furnace suddenly died last week I called several companies. It was very late and no one was willing to come out and see what is wrong. Finally Dundee Services was so nice to stop by at 10 pm. They worked relentlessly until 1 AM and my furnace was fixed! I couldn't be happier. The next day they stopped by just to make sure everything is working properly. I started by having them replace some drain pipes from cast iron to PVC, and have had them back for a tiling job, and to replace our entire electrical box. I used Dundee Services for a few different repairs. 1st I needed 2 spigots replaced which was done in a very timely and professional manner. Had some electrical issues in the basement which required rewiring and involved cutting out portions of the wall and ceiling. All work was complete including repairing the drywall, painting and clean up. Also needed some electrical work done upstairs with the same results.
