Mike and his team successfully installed a Daikin VRV system in our home literally right before our old unit died. His team of installer/techs not only were cordial but extremely knowledgeable. As a business owner myself I am not shy about the cost of the solution we provide. I am a firm believer of "you get what you pay for". This fit the old mantra to a T! We had quotes ranging from 5k to 17k. No one knew the product as well as Mike and no one offered multiple products like he did. It was either cheap or the extreme. We are very happy with the installation, product, and responsiveness that Compass has provided to us. I can confidently recommend Mike/Compass to anyone looking for a quality product and install. Best part of all. The Daikin unit is so quite that you have to stand next to it to hear it run. It is very impressive and efficient. Compass Heating & Air - 5 Stars all day!!

I discovered Compass through a referral from another HVAC company. Think about that for a minute! Mike and his crew were excellent in every way, every step of the way. Usually after large purchases I tend to second guess if I could have done better or gotten a cheaper price...not this time. Mike's knowledge and expertise is obvious once you meet with him and that's all I needed to know I was in good hands. It was a no pressure sale also. Thanks Compass!

Another great review for JNL here…read more Our a/c broke on a Monday. It was 25 years old so we had no interest in repairing it. After a different company quoted for the wrong tonnage and no new refrigerant line, no coil casing, no new foundation for the unit and a lesser brand for $4700, we called JNL. John (President) came out that Saturday morning and thoroughly explained each step and item we needed. He also looked at our thermostat and we found the old old thing did not support our newer two stage furnace to begin with. Monday we got our quote and with all the extra work it came in $1000 less for a better reviewed brand in the right tonnage with all the 'extras' above. Wow! Then they were able to schedule us for Wednesday morning (and the temps were getting to the 90s by that Friday so we needed it fast). They showed up on time and did a professional job, also installed a new thermostat we ordered. JNL will get your permit for you and files all the ComEd rebates on your behalf, so your invoiced price already has the discounts (no waiting for a ComEd check!). So far the a/c is working great and no problems. JNL will get our business for furnace and a/c maintenance going forward. Thanks, John and installers!

We were on vacation when the furnace went out. another company was doing work on our house at the time. They were able to get the furnace working at a cost of about $1,000. When we returned from vacation in February, I called JNL. I mistakenly told them the ignition lighter had to be replaced. Actually, the ignition was not replaced. It needed to be cleaned. JNL would not come to check my furnace unless I paid them for a service call. Later, I sent JNL an invoice from the other company showing that the furnace went out because the ignition lighter needed cleaning. JNL would still do nothing.
