The general tso's chicken is probably the best I've tried in south Florida, and their fried rice is superb! The service is a hit and miss, but we don't expect to be catered to like a 5 star restaurant so it doesn't bother us one bit. Besides, the food makes up for it. They also have delicious boba tea and their weekday lunch specials are unbeatable. The locale itself is small with maybe 14 tables-- so on a busy night you'll have to wait to be seated BUT it's worth the wait. UnfortunateLy we will never come back, and everyone we know who did go there should only go to the Pembroke Pines location instead. we been to other locations it's New with better service there! the angry nasty female owner took our dumpling away after we show her why our soup dumplings had no soup in them?? Open for dine in! I was pleasantly surprised by this joint although I really shouldn't have. I've seen it pop up on my Instagram and tiktok feeds. I was in the area for school and decided to pick up but realized they were open for dine in a new the place was empty. I wanted to try a couple of things and so I got the basics! When they sit you down they immediately set the table with your utensils and a seasoning soy sauce. Yum! I knew I had to try the boba. They have some fun flavors. I wanted to try the red bean milk flavor, but unfortunately they didn't have it or they're phasing it out I'm not sure. I went to a funky direction and decided to get the banana milk flavor. So fun! It tastes like a banana laffy taffy (a controversial flavor if my kindergarten memories serve right). I really liked it, but would try something else next time. Service was SO quick. I had my boba in a couple minutes and by 15 minutes of me entering the establishment my food was piping hot and all in front of me. May be surprising to some but I had never had egg drop soup before or general tso's chicken! I took this opportunity to try it. The soup was... almost sticky? In a good way! It's a very interesting texture! The egg was bright and easy to distinguish. Not too salty and had great flavor! The chicken was good but definitely spicy. I love spice but I know others are sensitive to it so watch out! My only gripe was that the breading or maybe the chicken cut made it hard to bite into the chicken so I had to eat it with fork and knife which I rarely do but that's a non-issue for me. I also ordered the soup dumplings because well... why else would i go?! I LOVE soup and I LOVE dumplings. This place does it RIGHT! The texture was amazing and for once there was actually a good amount of soup in the dumpling!! The skin didn't break upon picking it up which I find is an issue with other places that serve soup dumplings. This food was definitely enough for 2-3 people. This is basically a whole in the wall with great food and very reasonable prices. The special fried rice is really good and the most impressive thing for me is that the shrimp in the fried is deveined. This doesn't happen at many authentic Chinese restaurants. The bubble tea is good, but the tapioca boba balls in it taste horrible. Order it without. The service is great. They are constantly cleaning. The place is very small, but the ambiance is good. We had a few things as follows: Hot and sour soup. The base was a little sweeter than I prefer but overall flavor and quality of soup was great. It was delicious. Scallion Pancake App - Crispy, flavorful and rivals Northeastern Asian restaurant's. Very good! Soup dumplings were tasty and delicious too. We tried the crab and pork option instead of traditional Shanghai. I did not really taste the crab...wondering if we got the wrong one but they were very good. We had the mixed chive fried dumplings. Crispy brown outside on one side. Very tasty but not super healthy. Will try the steamed or boiled next time. Prices very reasonable. Was here years ago, and again twice recently. Still a hole in the wall, but redecorated a bit. Still has bathroom floors. The Shanghai dumplings and soup dumplings are excellent. Just be careful, the soup inside is very hot! The scallion pancakes are quite good, and the fried rice was freshly made. Last time, we tried the chicken dumplings. They were tasty, but different than the photos: not whole pieces but rather chopped chicken mixed with other stuff. My wife thought they were undercooked. Someone at the next table was eating a noodle soup which looked quite good. Finally, the prices are very reasonable and the servings large. Only two complaints. After customers leave, they clean the tables by spraying them with Clorox! Very strong smell goes everywhere while you're eating. Maybe they should try placemats, and just bring a cleaning rag to the table. Also, no liquor license, so we brought our own beer. They wouldn't let us drink it, the waiter pointed to a sign "no outside food or beverages". Message to the owner, every other restaurant in the world lets you bring in beer or wine if you don't have a license to sell it! read more

When my niece and nephew asked to go to the Aventura Mall area, my first inclination was to find out how close Dumpling King was. Lucky for all of us, the dumplings that I had been craving since my last visit a few years back was on the way to our destination. Lunch was served in no time (which is a blessing when you're accompanied by two children!) and exceeded all expectations. I was there for the Shanghai style soup steamed dumplings, and they did not disappoint. The dumpling wrappers were tender and delicious, filled with delicious soup and meat. I could have easily squared away to steamers full. I also ordered pork and pak choi boiled dumplings which were also scrumptious and filling. While I tried to get my niece to order dumplings, she chose the sesame chicken - not usually something that I would have chosen. To my surprise, it was actually very good! My nephew also ordered egg drop soup with a side of dumplings which he summarily put in his soup - it made a great combo! My friend recommended me this place a long time ago and I finally had the chance to visit for a quick snack stop since we were in the area! Knowing that this place was going to be a small restaurant, in my mind I thought it was going to be a fast food casual dining setting but it was a nice sit down restaurant. My friend ordered for us the Crab & Pork Soup Steamed Dumplings and Chives Pan Fried Dumplings. I also ordered the Lemon Black Tea with bubbles size medium. FINALLY! A yummy dumpling place in Florida! They do not skimp out on the filling and it comes to your table hot! The soup dumplings use a thicker dumpling skin than what I am usually used to with soup dumplings but the flavors were still great. Definitely one of the better Shanghai style soup dumplings here in Miami. The pan fried dumplings are nice and crispy and it's so juicy that it's almost like the soup dumpling. Lemon black tea had that nice refreshing lemon kick and the bobas had the perfect texture! My only complaint would be the thick soup dumpling skin that gives it a chewier texture and how they put a lot of ice in their bubble drinks. I'll try to request less ice in my drink next time. Overall, this place is called Dumpling King for a reason...Definitely recommend this place for anyone! I would come back here and order the same exact thing! I know I am late to the party! Every time I tell someone we live in NMB they ask me if I've eaten at Dumpling King Well last night it happened. We ordered to go because the place was crowded and didn't have much of a vibe inside. Food was yummy, the dumlpings are huge, we tried beef (pork was not available ) and veggies. Both orders of dumplings were super crispy on one side and nice and steamed on the other. Ginger soup app was yummy too, beautiful tumeric yellow color and shiny glass noodles. The scallion pancakes were ok but by the time we got home they were a bit greasy. Honey chicken was crunchy boneless chicken with a sugary dipping sauce. Kids liked it, but I wouldnt order it again. I love these dumplings! So juicy and just filling. They come in an 8 count for like $12 along with this dipping sauce and when I say it's amazing just know I don't like about food.
