    Korean hotdog

The Korean hotdog is always good! And I got the strawberry lime Boba tea with mango popping. Boba was so good like always!

I've bookmarked this forever, like, BC (Before Covid), but didn't get to visit till now, as I don't come to this area too often. More than the bubble tea, I'm interested to try their bubble waffle aka Hong Kong waffle. Finally got a chance to swing by after shopping at iFresh. Inside the store, they have some shelves selling Asian snacks, like Kit Kats, Pockys, instant ramens and mochi. I even found some whole wheat Kit Kats - seriously? They have a large electronic menu as well as a paper menu by the register. As it's just one person, it does take a while to get an order done, if it involves a few drinks and waffles. I can imagine a long wait when it gets busy. I like my tea fine, about average compared to other bubble tea places. I don't like the waffles as much though, As you can see from the pic the surface does look kind of ugly. The texture is also more cakey than it should be. I still enjoy eating the whole thing, as it is my childhood favorite back in Hong Kong, even if it's not as good as the real thing.

Cute little boba shop. Bubble tea is definitely a personal taste preference, and we didn't looove their tea flavor or boba. The waffle ice cream was good though! We also liked the wall of snacks on the side.

I went with my sister to get boba because we are obsessed with! The boba was okay but the places itself was cute and had a lot of Asian snacks and beverages.

These days, it is hard to find a place to sit with your friends to grab a coffee. So, when I was meeting my friend, I was not sure where to go. I remembered looking through Yelp the other day and wanted to try this place. Since we were shopping at Beijing Mart, which is across from this place, we decided to try their bubble teas. The place is a kind of hole-in-a-wall place, but very clean. They had several shelves for bread from Paris Morning Bakery. Unfortunately, the shelves were empty. They had a variety of bubble teas, and it was hard to pick one. I am sure everyone can find their favorite! My friend asked for a milk tea boba, and I settled for green tea boba. My friend and I enjoyed the tea. The flavor was good, and boba had a nice texture. I am hoping to go back there to try their Hong Kong style egg waffles soon. They looked awesome!

Love the hot dogs here! They are juicy and packed with flavor. Highly recommend coming here, especially with all the sweet servers here. Good vibes

Peach green tea with rainbow jelly. It is not as sweet as you'd think and has a little after taste . They have snacks and small food items available also.

Staff was nice. Came here to drink boba and study a little bit. I tried the brown sugar boba and it (as expected) was so sweet. Not for me, but the boba was great consistency. Excited to try other flavors!

I came here twice and I'd like to say it was a 10/10. The first time I came I got a coffee milk tea with black boba and it was actually pretty good. I also got brown sugar milk tea and taro milk tea and it was fantastic. I definitely recommend the brown sugar milk tea or taro milk tea for any first timers. The shop also has a lot of variety and hot foods as well. They also sell popin' cookin sets. The shop was very clean and neat. It was also well decorated and cute. I definitely believe this is the best boba place in the NMB area as others can't compare. I have tried many other stores with friends and family and this one has won! You can also adjust the sweetness to your liking. I recommend 75% for fruit teas and some milk teas as it may be too sweet for some. For hot foods, I definitely recommend the bubble waffles. The bubble waffles were slightly crisp on the edges but fluffy inside. You can also choose a topping to go inside your bubble waffles, for example chocolate chips, coconut, oreos, red bean, etc. Service was quick and to my surprise, it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. Please support this small business as it deserves more hype. :)

Second time coming and they should be open by now at 11 am. Nope. Let's call the shop. No answer. But light is on. Let's knock. Still no answer. A guy who was in his car (perhaps a neighboring shop owner) called her cell phone and told me to knock much harder. She finally comes and opens the door. No greeting and no apology. I get some people have RBF and that doesn't bother me but no decency to show some quality customer recovery after making me wait in the rain 5 minutes after opening the shop? Pfft. To make matters worse, I came for BOBA. She said it would take 15 minutes to wait for boba so if I'm in a hurry it's suggested I get a jelly instead. Yes, I am in a rush, yes, I waited in the parking lot for you guys to open since 10:30 AM, lights didn't go on until after 10:40 AM, and you mean to say I'd have to wait longer to have boba from a boba shop after making me wait AFTER opening time? Ugh. Come early and have your boba ready before opening time! I'm trying really hard to conceal my frustration and I've kept my cool. I only wanted boba for my father as a treat after his surgery -- sadly, I we had to settle for jellies. If I had known they won't have it prepared ahead of time before opening, I would've waited to go to Dumpling King which was never an issue before. And next time I will. I gave this place a chance. I wasn't blown away from the first experience, and I'm definitely not happy with this experience.

Nice size counter, but empty due to Covid.

Rating: 2.5 Date: 07/12/2020 After visiting Mary Ann's bakery, we wanted something to drink. Found OhLa Tea from a quick search here. I thought it was funny that the GPS simply told us to pull in to a parking lot...and once we got there the shopping center looked abandoned. This pandemic is really taking a toll on a lots of businesses. So please do what you can to keep yourself and others safe. Anyway, we thought it was closed but thank goodness we saw the huge "we are open" sign. So we got excited to try what they have to offer. RESTAURANT: Due to the pandemic, a lot of the business are having to put their furniture away and so upon entering this joint, it does not look very inviting. The counter was bare and only have a place for you to order. Behind that is their menu on screen. The décor is minimal and gives off that Japanese feel with the long wooden benches, and shelves with I believe Japanese treats and the adorable wall art of boba girls in kimono-looking dresses. There is a nice size rest room. There are also printed menu on the counter and on the plexiglass. I don't recall a sign saying they are not serving food. Overall, the place is small, but really cute. SERVICE: Again, we came here without reading the reviews since we were 2 blocks away. I regret that now. There was only one other customer there and the lady behind the counter offered us no acknowledgement. When it was my turn, the worker's back was on me and I did not want to be rude so I just waited for her to turn around. She exuded unhappy energy and I can tell she's not friendly. I quickly just ordered only one boba tea because I wanted to get the heck out of there. After a few minutes, I decided to order an egg waffle dessert for my son and right away (with an extra dose of disdain) she cuts me off and said we are not serving food. Which is too bad because I got excited to see that they just didn't sell boba drinks. I ended up ordering another drink. And despite my efforts to sound gracious, that lady was still like bleh. FOOD: We ordered strawberry fruit tea with rainbow jelly and a taro milk tea with boba. Their cups are tall and super slender, which I did not like so much because I just know it will move around in my car cup holder and it did! But, they have a removable, like a coffee lid which a cute hear shape stopper on the sipping end which my son and I thought that was adorable. And I'm sure the cup can be reused. Anyway, the fruit tea drink was light and refreshing...although it did not taste 100% like strawberries, it tasted more like lychees. The white colored jelly also tasted like lychee. The jelly were good but I found them a bit too firm, like they had been in the fridge for awhile. Then on to the taro milk drink. Side note: taro is my all time fav. And this one is definitely not one of them. First, it was a bit on the warm side. And although at first the drink was ok, I found that there's like this weird salty sensation left in my mouth after each sip. I can't explain if it's from the milk or the boba but it was not a sweet, creamy taste. It's so weird to describe but all I have to say is that I had wayyy better taro elsewhere. So sad about the Egg Waffle. They looked really good and I know my son would've loved it. Overall, this visit was just as disappointing as it was spontaneous. I'm sure that this place was much better pre-COVID. But reading past reviews leads me to believe that the same worker have the same unapproachable attitude. Customer service is huge! And sometimes, even if the product is mediocre, you tend to be loyal because the excellent service makes you feel royal. Which is too bad because I would love to come back for those egg waffles. But I'm sure I'll manage.

There are only a few boba places on this side of town, so this one came with high expectations. Unfortunately, my party was very disappointed with the quality of their drinks, but the interior of OhLa is nice. Upon walking in, there's a stand of snacks available for purchase, and tables with cute pillows aligning the wall. This would definitely be a great place to study or go on a date! It was apparent that it is a family own business, a mom and her young daughters took the orders and made the drinks. Out of three different drinks that we ordered, including a rose milk tea, they all tasted artificial. With the rise in popularity for boba, there are other places that make the same drinks with fresh brewed teas, rather than powder. They put each drink in a blender, not to make it like a smoothie, but to ensure that the powder is fully dissolved. My friend literally said that the tea tasted like "mop water," and the boba didn't make much of a difference. Although I enjoy where this tea shop is headed, they need to make serious changes to their recipe.

I was wonderfully surprised by this tea shop. I was in the area for work, and knowing that it's the only part of town to get decent bubble tea, I was all set to go to Dumpling King. Sadly...it was Tuesday so I broke out the handy dandy Yelp app and found this place was right down the street, and brand spanking new. It's now my go-to tea shop, the jasmine milk tea was on point. From the decor (adorable), to the mini market (matcha candies and tea sets), to the extensive menu of pearl teas, slushes, etc. all around $4-5, I'm happy to have found a comfortable slice of heaven that can focus on making tapioca pearls the right way! Parking is shared with several other businesses in the strip mall, but I found plenty of availability when I was there.

I made the tea look good ;)

I love the authentic asian flavors the lychee snow ice was delicious. Not too sweet perfect balance of creamy and icy keeping it light and not too heavy. The taro was our personal favorite while both were amazing. It had a delicious nutty taro flavor. The coffee milk tea was also delicious although still a bit sweet with 25% sugar i could do no sugar for this drink regardless still delicious. Boba was warm fresh in the drink can't complain about anything. Portions were more than enough for two. Can't wait to come back soon.

I ordered a taro bubble tea, and it was actually really good. it was smooth and the taro flavor tasted like actual taro instead of that artificial version some places use. I told them I don't like it too sweet so she really tamped down the sugar but it was still on the edge of too much. The tapioca pearls were soft with a little bounce to them, which is basically all I'm looking for in life at 3 p.m. they had some odd flavors like Oreo which I wasn't daring enough to try. My work buddy got the matcha cha, which comes with whipped cream and has toppings on rolled ice cream. It looked like something you'd need a small ceremony to eat which isn't my thing ... but if you want a tower of sugar, go for it. She said it tasted great, very matcha-forward without being bitter, though the toppings alone could feed a small family. So, portion sizes seem generous. The place itself is clean and bright. It's north Miami Beach , so parking is exactly what you'd expect, annoying but survivable. Service was friendly and quick, even though they were busy. Overall, a good spot if you want a well-made drink without any hassle.
