Dumpling factory I wanted to like you 5 stars but I will let u know why. First of all, the food was good. I don't want to say great but I was hapoy to have some Chinese food since we were having a lot of burgers and sandwiches. The soup dumplings was delicious. The shrimp hat gau was was good too! We also got some vegetable pot stickers which were tasty. The spicy tofu was ok, the sauce was great but something about what they put in it didn't go together. The soda was strangely watered down and tasted like chlorine. I was disappointed with that. The service was spotty, asked a few questions but instead of saying I don't know what u are asking he just answered in the wrong way. The restaurant was empty but he didn't come to ask if we were aok. Overall I would try here again, it was a comfortable setting, lots of parking, the food was good, and there was a to go option too. This is a sit down and get a menu kinda place with a very upbeat lively feel to it. The wait staff was really patient and helpful, and the patrons are plenty and all looked happy. Very nice location about a mile south of I 80 on 72nd St. in Omaha. Dedicated parking, indoor and outdoor seating, as well as to go ordering. Pleasantly greeted and quickly seated with accommodations for an infant in a corner of the dining room. Our servers were very nice about several folks in our party late to the table and kept the food coming the entire Meal. There is no alcohol at this location, but an array of nonalcoholic options should quench your thirst. Prices are extremely economical. Dumplings were good as was several of the appetizer and rice dishes we ordered. having only been open for a month. We saw this new place on Yelp while looking for a new place eat. The place is fairly new and plenty of space inside. We got greeted by friendly staff and got seated right away. They have a great selection of soups, wontons, dumplings and noodles. I highly recommend the tri-color steamed soup buns, as well as the steamed shumai appetizers. Not a fan of their Chicken Leg Soup Noodle, but the Chili Oil Noodle, Cucumber salad, as well as the Chili Oil with wonton were really good. If you came here expecting franks, you'll be heavily disappointed. If you came here looking for dumplings, you found the right place. Only place I can think of in town that this spot is comparable to is Hip Bao, and Dumpling Empire beats them at every turn. Service is dim sum style so don't expect to get everything at once. This is a small, nicely spaced room with a couple of booths, tables, chairs and some banquette seats. The variety of seating options means most patrons will be comfortable. We hadn't eaten here before so I decided to try something different: steamed vegetable buns. They were served in the steamer basket. The bun part was fluffy and tender and the vegetables were a mix of mushrooms, tofu, vermicelli, cabbage, ginger, and scallions. It tasted ok for me, especially after I added some teriyaki sauce. Bookguy had a garlic chicken noodle dish that also had rice. It looked like chicken, scallion, red and green peppers in a sauce. It was a very generous portion and he liked it. We also had crab rangoon that he said didn't taste like crab, which was fine with me because it was creamy inside and crunchy outside. The waiter said a cheese wonton was the same as a crab rangoon. With so many good Asian restaurants, and us not being dumpling fans per se, we probably won't be back. read more

I dipped all of my dumplings in it because it's just so good!! All of the dumplings were great -- we got steamed and also the fried buns. Both were delicious! I really want to try their noodle dishes in the future! We will be back! My only complaint is we weren't sure if we were supposed to order at the counter or wait for a server and same when it came to paying. It is one of those simple restaurants that feels homey when you step in. It's been hard finding authentic Chinese food in the Omaha area, but this one took me by surprise the first time I went. The restaurant is very spacious and clean. Servers are friendly! Parking is ample, but on a busy day in this plaza could have to park in nearer to one of the other businesses in this area. They were honest about the mistake and took the time to make it right for us. Very appreciated. We also got one order of fried pork dumplings which far exceeded our (very low) standard of made-at-home-from-the-freezer-section style, we are used to. We went here on a Wednesday night when it was fairly busy for a birthday dinner. Some drunk asshole started harassing the staff and acting very threatening. The staff handled it so well and maintained composure the whole time. Our meal was incredible, the pan fried pork buns were delicious and everything came out piping hot. I then ordered my meal approximately 5ish minutes later however when it came to delivering the food, all of the dumplings, soup and my partners meal came at the same time and my meal came much later when my partner was almost done. Typically you'd think both main entrees would come together despite ordering a few minutes later. Also not ideal to have everything we ordered come at once but overall not the biggest deal. Food- the food was underwhelming. The spicy chili wonton soup was good but not the most flavorful wonton soup I've ever had. The soup dumplings were also good but nothing mind blowing. We were disappointed in the entrees (Mongolian beef and king pao shrimp) which tasted very average at best. Overall this place is ok . Worth trying at least once. The pan fried pork dumplings were also fluffy and flavorful. The strange taste dumpling soup was also delicious. It is similar to your average spicy wonton soup but not very spicy. It was packed with flavor though so would definitely order again. The waitress was very attentive and sweet. The cooks made a mistake, and she quickly corrected it. My visit started as just a recommendation from a coworker, but I could not have been more impressed! Walking in, the restaurant has a super comfortable atmosphere. Casual, cozy. The staff was incredibly kind and polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Speedy service too! We got shrimp tempura, a wonton soup, and two orders of pan fried dumplings. This soup made me grin like an idiot. I cannot begin to explain how delicious it was. The broth and wontons were perfect! The dumplings were also pretty dang incredible.
