Very little crab flavor, and its texture was damn near close to ricotta cheese but they were DELISH! Anyone else save the corners for a little texture in their next dish? No? Just me? Yall, I am telling you... their Peanut Butter Chicken was PHENOMENAL, and definitely have some real peanut on board. MUCH appreciated that. Their breading to chicken was by far, near perfection. More protein than breading is always a win-win in my book... it was like little puffs of breading, versus cakey/battery. Comes with your choice of steamed or fried rice, egg drop soup or hot and sour soup. Their Hot and Sour was SO good, with just the right amount of tofu. Highly recommended either honestly. Now the Sesame Chicken? Dare say I should've gotten that dish? It too, was AMAZING. Especially with those warm green peppers, onion, rich brown sauce that has just the right amount of garlic that made me ask kindly, with doey eyes, for a second piece off my husbands plate. SO good! Some ghost kitchens can be pretty good, depending…read moreon which brick and mortar restaurant they're run out of - and I think that formula shows here too (in not a good way). I was cautiously optimistic because I like bao buns, so I gave this a shot. I ordered a few things to make sure I liked at least something: -Spicy Mongolian Beef Bao: This was my favorite thing I got. It was a nice little soft bun filled with a tangy beef mixture. It wasn't too spicy, so don't let the name scare you off. Just a little twinge of heat, but mostly for flavor and not blasting you out of the room with spiciness. -Teriyaki Chicken Bao: I usually love teriyaki chicken, but I didn't love it in this bao bun. The mixture inside was overly sweet and there was no other flavor to cut down on the cloying flavor. I tried dipping it in the provided soy sauce, but it didn't help very much, so I sort of gave up on this one. -Spicy Kung Pao Chicken Bowl: This was a nutty mixture of toppings with little bits of chicken, all over a big hunk of white rice. The chicken was good and packed a little punch of heat. The rice below was ok for a while, but it ended up not being super flavorful once all the meat and toppings were eaten. Maybe it was a little too much rice to mix with the small amount of toppings provided. -Ginger Chicken Potstickers: These were pretty flavorful and they did not skimp on the filling. The crimped spots holding the potstickers closed was a little bit too crispy (I like them to be a little crispy, but this was on the verge of burnt and hard.) All the items I ordered (including a $3 soda) totaled about $30 before tip, just to give you an idea. The packaging was done well and branded with the Wow Bao logo, which was nice when so many other ghost kitchens just use the host restaurant's packaging/containers. One thing I will note, though, is that the bao buns have a little paper underneath them that says what the flavor is, so you can tell which is which - but that paper sort of sticks to the bun, so be sure you take that off (it's a little hard to remove!) I'd say if you're craving delivery bao buns or rice bowls, this is an okay choice - but I'd recommend a few others (non ghost kitchens) before this one.

Dumpling Empire has a pleasant atmosphere that feels like stepping into a chic ramen house--cozy, vibrant, and full of energy. The pork dumplings are absolutely incredible, with perfectly seasoned filling and delicate wrappers that are cooked to perfection. While the veggie bao buns are good, I think they could use a bit more improving to bring out their full potential; they seemed more like an afterthought for vegetarians. The only thing I truly missed was the option for vegetarian dumplings--something I hope they add in the future! Despite that, the quality of the food and the overall experience make Dumpling Empire a spot I'd happily return to. I highly recommend! read more
