I was in the mood food for a seafood boil and this is a suggestion that I came across on yelp. We ordered the food to go and enjoyed it! The location was nice but nothing fancy. They were very welcoming upon my arrival. My pickup order was at the register towards the back. I had the shrimp and crab leg with corn. Food was fresh and well prepared. Shrimp were big and plentiful. I would have like eggs and noodles but missed the option online. Also the all you can eat seem to be a good deal as well. It took care of my seafood craving! read more

Went for AYCE crab boil for $42.95. They give you a two hour time limit and you can order 2 pounds of food at a time to keep things fresh and hot. Got the lemon pepper wings, hush puppies, clams, snow crab and sausage. The flavor of the crab boil is really good. Ask for it with extra thick sauce/seasoning. The hush puppies are seasoned so well and are super crispy. The lemon pepper wings were just ok. They have some kind of breading on them that makes them super crispy, but if you like naked wings, you might not be a fan. Also the seasoning didn't stick to the wings so they were kind of plain. The clams tasted super fresh, but the snow crab was a little lacking. They were kind of dry and definitely on the smaller side. The sausage tastes weird. Not sure if they were made of beef (I don't eat beef), but neither me nor my daughter liked it. The ambiance is fine. Just a few tables, nothing fancy. They play fire music though. read more

We did the all you can eat seafood boil and it was very good. We truly enjoyed everything and the service was excellent. Food comes out super fast and it's super hot. They have some rules on how you can order and no sharing which we had to navigate cause we usually all share. All in all we were happy. read more

I normally order from here and have enjoyed the food before, so I was especially disappointed with this order. Unfortunately, almost everything was a problem. The green/black mussels were inedible. They had what appeared to be wire-like, hair-like fibers wrapped around them, and I did not feel comfortable eating them. The corn tasted very old, almost like it had been sitting in a freezer for a long time and was freezer-burned. The crab was also extremely overcooked. The shells were so difficult to crack that I could barely get the meat out, which made it frustrating and nearly impossible to eat. Overall, the food was not fresh or enjoyable this time, and after eating some of it, I started feeling sick. I was really disappointed because I normally eat here and have had better experiences. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously because the quality of this order was nowhere near what I expected. read more

The food here is delicious and comes out steaming hot. Went with 2 pounds of snow crab legs with a side of potato's and eggs covered in the medium house sauce. The sauce is banging. All you can eat is $39.95 for adults and &19.99 for kids under 10. The parking lot is nice sized and share with several other businesses in the area. The service was really accommodating and insightful. The lemon pepper, buffalo & garlic parmesan wings come three wings per order with the all you can eat. The flavors I tried were good, the wings are small but they tasted pretty good also. I left Dummy Crabby stuffed like a crab love the ambiance of the place. read more

Restaurant is not big and it could be cooler. They have an all you can eat option for 2 hrs. They is something for everyone even if you don't eat seafood. The boil flavor was really good. It's the everything mixed together sauce. Crab logs were small but expected it's all you can each. Our server was sweet and kind of attentive. Would return but not in a hurry. read more

This was your typical seafood boil spot ! Nothing too fancy but still kinda get your moneys worth and more. The waitress & other staff was very helpful and consistent. The food was okay. I think my chicken wings were fried a bit too hard but the mozzarella sticks were perfect . I enjoyed all of the seafood that I got. You can get pretty full here ! read more

I have been looking for a bomb seafood boil for a long time now. This place exceeded my expectations! The boil was a 10/10 and the deals they had on a Friday.. blew me away. I got two pounds of crab legs for only $36 and let me tell you, each leg was filled to the brim with meat. The sauce I got in a medium was super flavorful and fresh. I ordered mine with sausage, eggs, and a side of rice and it was delicious. They had so many bogo deals that I will be back for more. The space is small but comfortable enough for people to sit and enjoy their food. The service was nice! The girl taking my order was very thorough and explained all my options so I got the best bang for my buck. I will absolutely be back to try the fried seafood and other boil options with my friends and family! Do not hesitate, come and try it for yourself! read more

We've been loyal customers of Dummy Crabs for a long time and usually enjoy both the food and the service. Unfortunately, tonight's visit was by far the worst experience we've had. The crabs were noticeably smaller than on previous visits, and my shrimp order arrived with the heads still on -- something I've never received here before. Our drinks sat empty for over eight minutes with no refills, even though the entire staff was gathered at the register talking among themselves instead of tending to guests. The food was still tasty, as always, but the service tonight earns a solid F. The manager was seated behind the counter and made no effort to address the lack of attention from her team. The manager remained behind the counter the entire time and never came over to apologize or acknowledge the inconvenience. Staff and service are often a reflection of leadership--or the lack thereof--and tonight made that painfully clear. I even attempted to refill my own drink because it was clear no one intended to check on us. I voiced my concerns before leaving, but this experience was disappointing enough that it may be a while before we return. The previous staff was far more attentive and consistently delivered excellent customer service. Management -- do better! read more

I gave Dummy Crabby another try and the service is much better! Still the best seafood spot to go to in the Tampa Bay area. I know for my friends, they wish there was a bar with mixed drinks. So maybe that is something that the restaurant can think about including. I also love the music they play and the restaurant is very clean too. read more

Needs Some Tweaks to Be Worth It We went for the all-you-can-eat seafood boils, hoping for a feast, but the experience had some hiccups. The service was slow, which made everything feel like it took forever. The seating arrangement wasn't great--we ended up next to a huge group that kept growing, and at times, it felt like they were sitting at our table. Not really the server's fault, but because they kept changing their orders, we were kind of forgotten. For the price, it didn't feel like we got our money's worth. One odd thing--the eggs in the boil aren't unlimited, even though they're listed on the menu with no extra charge. The seasoning could have been better, but it wasn't bad. The seafood itself was good, though maybe a little over-steamed, making the crab legs and crawfish shells softer than they should be. The all-you-can-eat concept could be great if the service was more attentive and better balanced. Overall, a decent idea, just not executed well enough to justify the price. We would give it a try again maybe not at dinner time. read more

I had an okay experience overall, but there were a few issues that stood out. The food was decent, but I wasn't able to eat more than half a pound and asked the manager if there were any lighter options. I was told there were no substitutions, which is understandable, but it would be nice if there were options for customers who prefer lighter portions. I also didn't appreciate being told that I should have looked at the menu beforehand--it didn't feel like great customer service. On top of that, I felt rushed to leave even though my allotted time wasn't up yet, which made the experience uncomfortable. Additionally, the complaint or suggestion box being placed on the ceiling felt inconvenient and not very customer-friendly. Overall, there's definitely room for improvement, especially when it comes to customer service and accommodating different customer needs. read more

I'm not sure how the food is. We called two hours before closing and was told to come on down. After making the 35 minute drive, we arrived over an hour before closing, and was turned away, saying the dining room was closed. We explained we called and was told to come and the woman who worked there told us there was no way we called. No one would've told us that. There was absolutely no way we were getting service. After double checking the number, it was definitely the correct location. We were very disappointed, especially after being treated so very poorly. Beware: Take your chances, especially if you live far. As far as the parking lot, it's located in a very old plaza that is not well kept. It made me question the restaurant itself. read more

I'd never heard of a BOGO deal here, but we made the 30-minute drive, and it was totally worth it--I'd go back 100%! The seasoning was spot on--packed with flavor but not overly salty. Generous portions, Pepsi products, clean bathrooms, and excellent customer service. Loved that they provide large wipes at the end, so you can use as many as you need instead of those little packets. Plenty of parking, and the place is easy to find. The internet was a bit slow, but honestly, I was too busy enjoying the food to care! Definitely give them a try! read more

Lured here by the prospect of their BOGO 1 lb of snow crab deal which did not disappoint. (Other deals include, buy 1 lb of snow crab, get 1 lb of headless shrimp for free, BOGO combo C) The prices were great and quality was not sacrificed. I was a little scared the seafood would not be the freshest with the BOGO deal but everything was great quality. We got BOGO snow crab, a 1/2 lb of crawfish ($7.95) and 1/2 lb of shrimp ($8.95). The BOGO snow crab came with 4 corn and 6 potatoes, all for $30.95 (for comparison Mr. and Mrs. Crab has snow crab for $38/lb). The snow crab was fresh and meaty. The corn was so sweet and fresh as well and the potatoes were huge. A few of the crawfish was a little chewy but not so much so that it was unenjoyable. The shrimp was nice and thick. Very good value, bang for your buck. The only qualm I have is that I feel like the sauce is not as good as some other places. Don't get me wrong, it's very enjoyable but just slightly not as rich, complex in flavoring. It could possibly be because they gave us mild when we asked for medium though. Service was also good, they came to check on us a few times. Also love the tin plates they gave us, those were so fun. The inside is open and clean. Although we brought our own gloves, I really liked that they had a glove dispenser on the table because I've definitely had times at other places where I had to ask for glove replacements. Overall, I'd love to come back. Such a good deal and so delicious too! You can really taste the freshness and quality. Very meaty selections. It's a little far from my house ~30-45 mins but otherwise I'd frequent this place a lot more. Also although the BOGO deal is marketed as something for their grand opening, I asked a waitress who said that the deal seems like it will continue indefinitely until the boss decides differently. I would absolutely recommend any and all seafood boil enjoyers to take advantage of this great deal. read more

They made changes recently that make it a much less enjoyable experience. Besides the time limit, they only give you two clusters of crab at a time (less than a pound) even through they menu says you can have 2 pounds at a time. They also purposely wait a long time to reorder and get it out to you. read more

DUMMY CRABBY III 15317 Amberly Dr, Tampa, FL 33647 I went to this place with my family of 3 and I was with my child as well and when we got there, there was no wait time as we got there when they 1st opened. As we were seated by the manager she didnot explained any rules to us for the all you can eat deal. We ordered and when the food came and as we started to eat one of the workers came over and said she was sent over by her manager and she was just a messenger that I couldn't share food with my son and partner because they had ordered a all you can eat order and I didnot. I order the fish as I told the manager that I can't eat selfish and was just eating the appetizers. I was told if I continue to share food with my 11 year old child, I would be charged extra for what I ate. I asked for a discount because of the service I received and for being watched physically and with a camera pointed directly at our table; to the point were I seen one of the workers staring at me from a cross the room. Also I was not able to speak to the manager myself because the worker stated the manager doesn't speak English well, which was a lie because the manager was the one who seated us 1st. Please do not go here, the chef was wearing shorts, a sleevless shirt and no hair net. We paid full price despise all the negative interactions and left will not ever go back again. They do not believe the customer experience is important and they have there complaints box on the ceiling of the restaurant were no one can reach it. read more

SERVICE: THIS SHOULD BE CRUMMY CRAB!!! Listen there are WAYYYY too many of these places in Tampa bay to pick this one! The seating is chaotic at BEST and people are literally arguing over seats. Secondly, when we finally did get a seat we had someone take our order and then our waitress never came back ONE TIME! Not even ONCE! We literally had to grab a passer by to ask for some to go boxes and the check. This service isn't even bad it's COMPLETELY NON EXISTENT! The entire group of people on our side were complaining and completely unhappy! FOOD: Dummy Seasoning (Hot) was good I'll admit but the seafood boil is overcooked and rubbery. If you're looking for your potatoes, corn & eggs...Just KEEEEEP digging! They are absolutely sooo tiny it's unbelievable! I didn't even realize they made corn and potatoes that small! They are no bigger than salad size! Just do yourself a favor and go to Mr & Mrs Crab! You'll thank me later! read more

I made a spontaneous visit to Dummy Crab today, which wasn't part of my original plans, but I'm glad I decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, I found it relatively quiet with only two customers, which suited me just fine. Although it was a bit warm, likely due to their grand opening, and the wait for food and drinks was noticeable with only two staff members, the quality of the food made up for it. Overall, I had a great time and the experience was enjoyable. My only suggestion would be to thicken the sauce a bit. However, the prices were more reasonable than other places I've visited, and despite the small size, the generous portions made up for it. I couldn't finish my meal, but I'm already looking forward to my next visit. I hate that I didn't take any pictures of the food. Everything looked so delicious! read more
