    Lobster pasta the daily special
    Leah M.

This place is absolutely amazing! The food is fantastic and so flavorful! I love the pastas they are all homemade but the specials also do not disappoint. The service is always top notch. Tonight we had Tj and he was so friendly and made great recommendations. The ambiance is beautiful and such a relaxing atmosphere.

After much research, I selected The Sacred Pepper to celebrate 3 milestone family birthdays. We had never been before, but the menu seemed to cater to each of our particular tastes. We were happily surprised by the elegant exterior, and upon entering, we were absolutely enamored by the swanky, sophisticated, warm, well-appointed, but super comfortable dining room. We were seated at a prime table that felt both central but private and immediately began vibing to the perfectly pitched ambient jazz. We began our meal with deliciously smooth glasses of Bonanza Cabernet by Caymus and the Mediterranean Goat Cheese and Shishito Pepper appetizers. The goat cheese was perfectly creamy and tart, balanced by a rich tomato sauce studded by olives and onions and served with warm, fresh flatbread. The Shishito Peppers were fried tempura-style and accompanied by a sweet teriyaki sauce that complimented the heat of the peppers. They were light, crispy, flavorful and yummily addictive!!! For our entrees, we ordered the Sea Bass, Ribeye, Grouper Piccata and Sicilian Chicken. I will not detail each (pics pf each included) but can attest to each having truly delighted us!! I will focus my review on the Sea Bass which is the dish I ordered. The fish was delicate, flaky, subtly seasoned but perfectly cooked. I was particularly delighted by the seared rice cake, as a Puerto Rican person it reminded me of the best kind of 'pegao'..toasty outside and grainy soft middle. The dish was satisfying and delicious...a bit more seasoning on the fish would have suited my personal taste but I can see it being perfect to others. The evening was capped by the sweetest complementary chocolate lava cakes and fresh whip for our birthday crew. Our attendants were delightful, so attentive and did all they could to make our birthday crew feel special! The Sacred Pepper is an absolute Tampa gem!!!! I highly recommend this beautiful experience for any and all occasions!!

I cannot say enough good things about The Sacred Pepper - it was so much better than I could have ever expected for our business meeting! From the moment we arrived, the service was incredible - attentive, warm, and professional. They seated us in the most perfect spot with just the right amount of privacy and quiet, which made it easy to talk and focus. Every single thing we ordered was amazing. The Berry Ginger Smash mocktail was refreshing and delicious, the crème brûlée was absolutely divine, and the cookies and espresso were the perfect finish. The homemade pasta was excellent, and the lobster-stuffed shrimp were truly next level. 10/10 experience. I'll definitely be back!

This place is always delicious with excellent service. I had the short rib pasta and a house salad with red wine. The atmosphere is pleasant and they have live music which is very enjoyable. Love this place!

Very good experience here! Came here with a few girlfriends and we were all pretty satisfied. I'd visited a few times before, but it seems like they've changed the inside. It looks even better now; plenty of space, and everything was nice and clean. They also had live music! But I believe that ends around 8:30/9pm. They had a special "Girls' Night Out" menu with discounted cocktails and food specials. We ordered the Pear Elderflower Martini and Black Widow for drinks, and both were very flavorful. For food, my friends ordered the Lobster Stuffed Shrimp for a starter. They were not satisfied as the lobster was not what they were expecting. It seemed more like a stuffing mixture with small lobster bits in it. They sent it back. Everything else was great though!! Our entrees were the Prime Burger, Raviolo & Lobster, and Oak Grilled Scottish Salmon. All of them were delicious! Really no notes left for any of the entrees. Our waiter (also the bartender) was amazing and very quick. Overall, I'd love to come back. (:

We had such a great experience at Sacred Pepper! We grabbed seats at the bar around 5pm and the atmosphere was perfect! Lively but still relaxed, with a stylish and welcoming vibe. To start, we shared the pistachio-crusted brie and shishito peppers (both were amazing). The brie was creamy and flavorful with the perfect crunch from the pistachios, and the peppers had just the right amount of char and heat. For dinner, we tried the Malfadine with shrimp and the deluxe mixed grill. Both were absolutely delicious. The pasta was rich and savory with perfectly cooked shrimp, and the mixed grill had a great variety and was cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. Overall friendly, attentive, and fast without feeling rushed. We had a fantastic dining experience and will definitely be back!

We went to celebrate a birthday and we had a great time. The restaurant was very nice and they had live music which was really nice. Our waitress Maddie was amazing and helped us pick out options from the menu. We ordered various entrees and appetizers and loved them. Food was great!

What a dining experience. Solo date. I tried a little bit of everything. Samson my waiter was very attentive, accommodating, and personable. The decor, ambiance and location are all superb. I loved that they had live entertainment. Appetizers: Oysters 7/10 these reminded me of potato skins I know it sounds weird but that's the flavor profile. I do feel they were a little small in size. Stuffed lobster shrimp 8/10 it's like eating a crabcake, Lobster and shrimp all at once. Everything was fresh and paired well together. You get 4 and that enough to share or enjoy alone. Dinner: Lobster ravioli 11/10 if you like pasta, and Lobster bisque this item is for you. The ricotta cheese stuffed pasta with fresh perfecting cooked Lobster swimming in a warm rich creamy broth. This was quite remarkable Rack of lamb w/ Brussel sprouts. 9/10 I love Brussel sprouts and these were seasoned well and the cook on the lamb was perfect. Dessert: Limincello butter cake 11/10 Warm, moist decadent cake oozing with a rich cream and bursting with lemon flavor accompanied by fresh fruit. Just trust me and order this! I can't wait to come back when I'm in town.

This may be one of my favorite restaurants in this area. The live music was a great touch, the service was amazing, and the food was delicious. I had the oysters Rockefeller and they were so good. My rib eye was a good cut of meat and cooked to perfection. The drinks were mixed well and did the job also. I have nothing but great things to say about my visit here.

Great ambiance and great customer service. The venue is very beautifully decorated. The food was just decent we got the oyster Rockefeller, pesto pasta, ribeye steak with parmesan crust, and drinks. All items required us to add salt and pepper, but I was very pleased with the mac n cheese and the citrus margarita.

Staff was excellent and attentive to the party I attended. The food was good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I want very hungry so I ordered 2 appetizers and a cocktail. Over all experience was very nice. Will come back to try other menu items.

We were at Sacred Pepper to celebrate a "big" birthday! Excellent choice! Many incredibly innovative dishes, creative cocktails, a great wine selection and over the top service. For a starter, Oysters Rockefeller. Just the right combination of juicy oyster, spinach and bacon generously topped with parm. Cocktails of smoked Old Fashion and the Little Miss Beauregarde blueberry, lemon, herbal with lavender Vodka. Generous pours. Perfect combinations of flavors. Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb was amazingly moist with a great light char. Bonus with a wonderful cassoulet. Perfectly paired with a glass of the Orin Swift 8 Years. The absolute star was the Raviolo & Lobster. This isn't your standard Lobster Ravioli. Picture a tube about four inches wide and four inches high made of squares of pasta (cooked to al dente perfection). Then fill the tube with big pieces of lobster and pour in a delicious home made light tomato cream lobster sauce. Yep! Pretty amazing! The oven roasted caramelized Brussel Sprouts with bacon and balsamic glaze was a very good match for both of our entrees. Could not leave without a spectacular dessert, Summer Budino. Made with lady fingers around a ramakin filled with orange flavored custard, with a layer of raspberry compote and topped with freshly whipped cream! The chairs were the most comfortable that I've ever sat in at a dinner table. The tables seemed to be a little lower than usual, but another fantastic addition to the overall experience. I have to mention our server Aiden. Professional, polite and extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu. There wasn't a question that he could not answer. He seemed to always be there before we needed him. Water glasses were always filled, but I never noticed him filling the glasses. He really was the key factor in pushing this dining experience way over the top!

    Sydnee A.

Sacred Pepper has live music which was nice, because the food wasn't giving much to talk about. The menu was underwhelming, and my salmon was so bland it could've been seasoned with a whisper. Average at best.

Definitely a great tasting and unique. Roasted golden beets were great, tortellini were amazing, yakitori chicken was exceptional. I think our favorite was garbanzo croquettes. This is definitely a place to come with at least four people so you can try a bunch of dishes…read more I would honestly be sad to come here just as a couple because then you don't get to try as many of the amazing dishes Elliott Astor has to offer. We started with the pull apart Bread that is absolutely a must get and delicious. The one thing is, it is quite large, so it is a good size for 4 to 5 people, it would be a bit overwhelming for only two hence why I say come with a group. We also got the chopped salad, which I thought was good, but not great. People rave about the Caesar salad, which last time I found to be just OK, but I would probably get the Caesar over the chopped. That's a personal preference. Then we got the vodka pasta and the black truffle gnocchi. The vodka pasta, again, is an absolute must get. I love Housemade pasta, and this one is cooked perfectly. The vodka sauce isn't spicy, and I hate spice. So this is one of my favorite dishes. I didn't like the gnocchi. I found it to be too cheesy and not pillowy enough. I appreciate the black truffles, but this is one that I would skip in the future. Then we got the dry aged prime strip, with broccolini, Yukon, mashed potato, and mushrooms. The mushrooms are still, my absolute favorite, I would absolutely get it every time. Yukon potatoes were delicious, but I could feel my arteries clogging while I ate it. It was so creamy and so buttery. The broccoli was good, but not something that I feel like I have to get. The steak was amazing. We got it medium rare, and I felt like it was cooked perfectly. I loved it. For dessert I got the amaretto cookie gelato. If you don't eat pork, all the desserts other than gelato and sorbet have a pork stabilizer in it, which is disappointing. The gelato was quite good though. For my drink, I got the Mezcal margarita I had last time. It is no longer in the menu. It was just OK this time, it would've been better with the salt rim, but it came without one. Next time I'll try another drink on their menu. Valet is $15 which is great because I've come here for the spa and parking is much more expensive if you're not going to Elliot Asher. This restaurant is beautiful and service is superb. Dinner will take a couple hours and Reservations do fill up so you should book them early. I would definitely recommend coming to eat here if you're looking for a nice night out.

Then you see the bar... dimly lit, and stretching all the way to the ceiling. Absolutely breathtaking. There were eleven of us girls dressed in black celebrating a birthday, and we started the night at the bar with drinks and photos before dinner. The staff sat us at the perfect long table, and Andrew and Brian took amazing care of us all evening. We shared the Focaccia Pull Apart -- warm, slightly sweet, cheesy, and honestly addictive. The Burrata with peaches, pickled mustard seeds, and pistachio was bright and fresh, and the beef tartare was another favorite. For dinner, I had the scallops, which were huge and roasted perfectly with citrus, cauliflower, and brown butter. Some of the girls shared the Radiatore alla Vodka, and that sauce was chef's kiss -- flavorful and so satisfying. But let me tell you... The Parmesan Fries with Black Truffle Aioli? I'm going back JUST for those. Cocktails were on point -- the girls loved the Elliott Aster Martini with its citrus kiss, and I had the mezcal espresso martini and the Summer Haze. Both were delicious. Beautiful place, amazing food, incredible night.

A bartender greeted me and gave me water. For my drink, I took the chocolate old fashioned (13 dollars). It was strong enough and chocolatly to enjoy. For my main plate, I chose the chicken wings (10 for 17 dollars), half fat rabbit sauce (quite garlicky) and other half siracha. While the wings were not breaded, they were still fried. It was definitely crispy, but still meaty and tender. The sauces were flavorful, and the siracha had the right amount of heat. The ranch dressing was homemade and so good, I ended up drinking it. There could have been more celery, but it was fresh and crispy. They only had one dessert, and unfortunately it wasn't homemade, so I passed. My bartender was friendly, but busy. She had a helper, but lots of patrons to serve. Yet, she was still very nice and helpful when needed. The vibe is social and casual. I would have thought they would have more USF students, but mostly locals who are enjoying a good atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available as well, and it looks like you can bring your pooch too. When it was time to check out and pay, I noticed they forgot to charge me for my drink. When I mentioned that, they told me not to worry about it. It was a very nice gesture from them. Parking here is easy as it is located in the Publix complex. There is also a Don Julio's and Bundt Cakes nearby for dessert too. The Fat Rabbit pub provides great casual bar food in a social atmosphere. The indoor dining is large enough to feel comfortable, and outdoor seating is also there if you want to enjoy with your dog.
