    That's Lina!
    John B.

I love writing reviews like this one. A very hard working couple, long hours and days, serving very good food. Lina was it. She met me at the door. She seated me. She took my drink order. Then my food order. She brought my food out. She checked on me. She gave me my check. (Fair price warning). We chatted a bit. Natural and relaxed. A very likeable person, with a drive to succeed. Do drop in. Say hello to Lina. And wave to her equally hard working hubby in the kitchen. He's it. In 'the back of the house'. I wish them well.

I had the 2-2-2 and loved it! I especially needed pancakes today since the weather is in the 30's. Our waitress is friendly and prompt. Lina always makes you feel welcome when you enter her orbit. I enjoy seeing the mural as well as the scrolling "Lina's News" on the mounted tvs. Nice ambiance.

Exceptional food and top-tier service. There is a personal touch here that you only find with small businesses--highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality dining experience

My husband is so picky. I was hoping this would be a good choice. It's under new ownership so was not sure what to expect with the food and service. So here it is..... AMAZING!!! The food. The service. Everything was great. I am being completely honest when I say this. If you are reading this..... go get you some!! I had a build your own omelette with ham, cheddar cheese and spinach. It came with 2 sides and toast. Awesome deal. I got hash browns and grits. My husband got a waffle with scrambled eggs and bacon. And he ate my grits. We loved all of it. The eggs were made perfectly. We were also given a free Mimosa. Yum!!! Overall great breakfast at a really nice place. We will definitely go back for sure.

We had the sweetest experience at Lina's Restaurant! We stopped by for their weekend brunch and were warmly welcomed by Lina and the chef-owner himself--it felt like visiting family. Brunch includes a complimentary mimosa and the food was full of flavor and made with care. We started with their housemade hummus and baba ganoush served with warm pita--so fresh and delicious. For mains, we tried several of their top handhelds: Philly cheesesteak Reuben Smash cheeseburger Cuban sandwich Each one was packed with quality ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with love. And to finish we had Lina's signature blueberry muffins--light, sweet, and the perfect ending. Beyond the food, the hospitality made the visit unforgettable. It's rare to find a place where the owner is so hands-on and passionate.

I consider this as a secret find when you are in the mood for some real Mediterranean treats like a good stuff grape leaves, falafels, hummus, babaganoush (egg plant)...all home made. In addition, they have a full menu for traditional breakfast and typical diner lunch and dinner food like sandwiches and cheeseburgers. The service is always super friendly, like a genuine family owned restaurant. While it's nothing fancy, it's a spot to definitely checkout if you like Mediterranean yummy foods.

Found this place recently and decided to give it a try. I ordered the special of the day and the wife got a falafel salad. My dish was really not much more than baked chicken (which was dry) with a clove spice flavored rice with a handful of carrots for $13,99. The server said it was enough to feed two people. I will leave that up to your opinion but would not have fed both of us. Our server was nice but struggled with English so communication was a little difficult. The wifes falafel salad was a little better but not great. The falafels were tasty but she had to remove number of pieces of wilted lettuce. Overall I don't think we will be back especially with Agave Social at the other end of the building.

I came here for lunch and was immediately greeted and seated. The decor is very unique with the wall murals. I got Lina's Signature Bowl with Falafel. I really enjoyed it. The Falafel and hummus was quite tasty. My one complaint would be the olives were black olives and it would have tasted better with Kalamata olives. The server was friendly and attentive. I would give it a 4.5 star for this meal.

If you haven't tried the smashburgers here, you are missing out! It's my favorite in Tampa! Food is top tier, service is excellent, and it's all around a great, local place!

They do it every day (EVERY!) here, from 4-7... and open to close on Wednesday. And the drink choices were amazing... martinis, craft cocktails, wine, beer, YOWZA! The little bar menus were spectacular! So many great choices. I'm going to have to get to work on this! I owe it to myself to try it all. Then, there's the real menu! The friends and I have got to meet here, next time. You can dine in the big bar area (so many high tops!), in the main dining room, or one of the two (!) outdoor dining areas. This is going to take hours of yummy and pleasant research to get you a full review. Don't worry-I'm up to it! So, this Grillsmith is in Carrollwood, along the east side of Dale Mabry, just north of Fletcher, at the end of a busy plaza, with plenty of parking. I'll be there, tasting my way through that tempting menu! I'm on it!

My wife is first-generation Italian and travels to Italy weekly as a language speaker with Delta Airlines, and I've been fortunate enough to tag along on occasion. Together, we've experienced some truly outstanding Italian food. We arrived at 6:00 p.m. and were warmly greeted by one of the owners. Our server, Chris, was attentive, professional, and personable throughout the evening, despite the restaurant being quite busy. From the moment we sat down until the end of our meal, everything was flawlessly executed. The timing of the appetizers, salads, and entrées was perfect. Thank you Chris. We started with bread from heaven. I mean heaven. Then we tried the artichoke hearts and a dish of mussels in white wine. Both were absolutely outstanding. Next came the salads. Three house salads were served family-style on a large platter, while I opted for the Caesar salad. Both were fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. For our entrées, we enjoyed the Eggplant Parmesan, Veal Piccata, and Rigatoni with Sausage and Peppers. Every dish was exceptional. The eggplant was among the best I've had, the veal piccata was perfectly prepared, and the rigatoni was packed with flavor. By the end of the meal, we were completely stuffed and couldn't even consider ordering dessert. However, since it was our first visit, Chris surprised us with four mini cannoli's to sample one of their most popular desserts. They were the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. This restaurant has earned several return visits from us. Our experience showed us that Esposito's is a true Carrollwood gem--a well-run restaurant with excellent food, outstanding service, and owners who clearly know what they're doing. Highly recommended.

When making the reservation I was advised of the policy; cc hold, if you cancel at the last minute and the 15-minute grace period. Every time I have dined here if I had a party of 6 or more, I was advised that at least half of the party needs to be present before you can be seated. There were 2 people in my party who could not make it and one person was running late due to traffic. 7 people was there waiting on one (1). The hostess told me that ALL of my party has to be there before we are seated, I said no, every time I have dined here I was told half of the party not the entire party needs to be present. At this point the manager, Walker, comes out and said that the policy states the entire party has to be here and the policy is the policy. My reservation was for 5pm, this was not 5:09pm and still waiting for one person. Walker then tells me, if that one person was not there is 6 minutes he would cancel the whole reservation. When I got there, I let them know that instead of 10 it would be 8. When my 8th person arrived we were seated. When at the table I get a notification from my credit card company that my card was charged for $20 by Sacred Pepper. I asked about it and Walker told me the policy was the policy, it is non-refundable and it's nothing that he can do. Now, the charge was because of the change in the size of the party, instead of 10 it went down to 8. I told him that was not what I was told when I made my reservation, and it was not in the message I received for confirmation. Let's remember I have dined here before with party's I have made reservations for. This has never been the case. Also, while talking to Walker when I was voicing my issues, he shrugged his shoulders and said oh well, the money is non-refundable. It was my husband's dinner and others were there, other than that I would have left. I told him OK, I have been here many times, but this will be my last time. Walker said "Ok". I have recommended this restaurant to many people. I will not be dining here again, I will be letting all the people whom I recommended, what happened. Walker was rude and unprofessional. There are so many places I can spend my money, and it will never be here again.

From the looks of it, they're doing well: steady traffic, a ton of activities, and the kind of setup that clearly had real money and planning behind it. It feels like a place meant to stick around. We visited on a holiday -- or maybe the eve of one -- which is usually when places either open late or people assume they're closed. But we had zero issues getting service. We grabbed some food, bowled a bit, and had a couple beers without any delays or confusion. My wife genuinely enjoyed it, and the kids did too. After bowling, we went into the arcade, and my son basically had free rein. Prices were very comparable to other arcades, not the kind where you feel like you're paying $5 just to blink. Now, the bowling lanes do use the string‑pin setup -- so it's not the official league-style pin reset -- but honestly, it didn't take away from the fun at all. It's still bowling, still laughs, still a good time. Overall, it's one of those places where you walk in expecting "something to do," and you end up staying longer than planned because everyone's having fun. My biggest takeaway is that this restaurant is all about the dining experience. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and I really appreciated how they explained each dish when it arrived. Their prix fixe menu with wine pairings seems to be the full experience, but we decided to visit during Happy Hour instead. My biggest disappointment was the Happy Hour menu. I wasn't aware that it mainly consists of snack size portions of their regular dishes. Since the regular portions are already on the smaller side, the reduced portions didn't feel like a great value. For me, the appeal of Happy Hour is getting the same food/drinks at a lower price, so that was not what I expected. We ordered the tuna tartare, ribs, tortellini, and the local collar. The local collar was the standout dish of the meal. The crispy fried fish paired with the refreshing sauce was absolutely delicious and worked perfectly together. Overall, we had a great experience. While the Happy Hour offerings weren't what I expected, the food was excellent, and the service was spectacular. The staff was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable, making the meal feel special from start to finish.
