    Fried Whole Snapper

Located at the end of a stripe mall, this is a fun food adventure. Inside is nicely decorated with both table and booth services. The cuisine is based on Columbia and Peruvian influences, and the options are wide. We picked the whole snapper and the steak, both tasted delicious. The whole chicken option looked really amazing, will have to try that another time. It's not the most fancy place but it felt authentic. Worth a try if you are looking to venture out of your comfort zone.

Nazca Restaurant 10412 N Dale Mabry Hwy Tampa, FL 33618 @nazcarestaurants Come visit Nazca Restaurant where every dish is made with care and big flavors. Nazca serves fresh Colombian and Peruvian meals tha's juicy and full of flavor. Nazca has something for everyone. My family had the pleasure of visiting this place and we love it. Their food is amazing and authentic. Thier drinks are so refreshing including their cocktails and wine. This is a definite place to visit in the Tampa area.

This is my second time visiting this Nazca. It was only four months ago I visited the first time when they first took over La Granja. They have done a nice little facelift on the inside decor as well as the menu. It has been completely updated. There's a great mix of Colombian and Peruvian food here. Yet again, we had to get their chicken. This Pollo ala brasa is THE Best. The flavor is beyond awesome. So much seasoning and so juicy. With their chicken, they have different sauces if you would like. I liked their garlic sauce and their cilantro sauce this time. Last time I liked their chimmichuri sauce. I'm sure they have more but I told them I don't want any spicy sauces. We ordered the whole chicken which is cut in four nice pieces and two sides which this time we chose papas criollas(Colombian yellow baby potatoes) and tostones. I love pulling apart the chicken and eating it on top of the tostones. They are very friendly and helpful and speak English and Spanish. They have Spanish music playing, & it's so fun and upbeat. Not too loud. You can still talk to your loved ones. They have different events like karaoke on Friday nights and their Grand Opening with music is on June 21st. Make sure to come here for the best chicken in Tampa! They also have Lomo Saltado, Peruvian ceviche, fish, & veggie options. There is something for everyone.

Empanada ( Chicken or Beef Patty)

We heard about this place advertised on TikTok. Editing does wonders to make an establishment look much more luxurious than it does in person. With that said, the atmosphere was decent. The food on the other hand, left much to be desired. We ordered two Colombian empanadas. Empanadas are intended to be a mixture of beef or chicken and potatoes. Our empanadas were more like a potato empanadas as the meat was scarce. Additionally, the "ají " that is typically served with the empanadas is not the traditional ají. We also ordered a Lomo Salteado (pictured below - the plate with the French fries). Overall, the flavor of the dish was too condimented. The steak used was poor quality. The fries were soggy and not that nice crispy texture. Lastly, we ordered a Bandeja Paisa (the last photo). The portion was decent, however, the steak was a bit tough and bland. The beans were not cooked well and lacked flavor too. Overall, our experience was not terrible, but for the price, quality, and service, we would not choose to come back.

Nazca is a neat little dining experience that won't disappoint. The atmosphere is meticulously decorated with lots of Columbia cultural crafts, that brings a colorful welcoming atmosphere. The food here is a real treat. I've eaten several of their menu favorites that were absolutely delicious with every bite. The service is great. The servers are very attentive and pleased to make sure your dining experience surpasses all expectations. 10 out of 10 and would do it again and again.

Dinner for 4.. more like for 2.

I ended up getting the grouper Reuben and it was very flavorful and filling. I got the Mac and cheese as a side and it was also good. I am very picky about Mac and cheese so that's a plus. The inside is huge and can accommodate many people and there is a lot of our outdoor seating. They also have a full bar in the back. I got the red sangria as well which was refreshing and a nice portion. I will be back!

Always a great meal (although it's pretty difficult to avoid carbs.)…read more I've been on a protein heavy diet recently so I'm trying to always eat protein. We came for brunch on a Sunday. It was never crowded the entire time we were there between 11:30 am and 1 pm. Parking was easy, which is nice because when it gets crowded that parking lot gets packed. Put sunscreen on the kids. There isn't any shade so the kids were super sweaty running around the play area. Adults should put on sunscreen too because in the morning there's not a lot of shade out there to stand in either. Future Christina, one biscuit is enough. I got a biscuit and then a side of biscuit for my omelet and my older son ate 3/4 of a biscuit with the younger one not wanting any. My husband got the grilled yardbird sandwich with a side of fries so that way my older son could eat a biscuit and fries which was his favorite meal ever. The younger one wanted pancakes. Unfortunately there's no kids meal pancakes so he ate half a pancake, which was still enough to make it worth it. (The smallest set of pancakes came with two.) I got the shrimp omelet which had a ton of plump shrimp. It was delicious. On top of the biscuit I got cheese grits. Next time I should get just the grits, the cheese didn't really add anything. Unfortunately the only non carb side is collard greens which has pork in it. My husband liked his yardbird although none of us ate the cornbread. And my dad said his grand burrito was good. I like how laid back this place is with down to earth food that's delicious. The cashier was very friendly giving me tips as I ordered. This place hires great workers. I really enjoy coming here and will definitely be back.

As I'm still new to…read moreseafood boil arena in the Tampa Bay area, I can't really say that I have come across one that was truly lacking. You are looking at spending at least $98 for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, no matter which restaurant you go to - it seems like the market does a good job at leveling the pricing competition between these restaurants. Crafty Crab is located essentially smack-dab in the center of Grand Plaza of the Carrollwood area. Although we didn't have issues with finding parking around 6-7pm on a Tuesday evening, the plaza can get quite busy with one row of parking on each side of a two-way lane that parallels the plaza. As we walked into Crafty Crab, it did have a cleaner feel and presentation compared to another local boil spot. Our waiter/server was great and extremely patient with us as we contemplated our choices. He continued with the positive energy throughout the service which made our experience at Crafty Crab rather nice. ***Not sure if it was standard practice, but he offered to empty the boil bag onto the aluminum tray (compared to leaving it in the bag) as an option which made navigating the morsels easier in my opinion. It also made for saucing the steam rice easier - just slap that jawn onto the tray, mix, and enjoy.*** What I enjoyed about Crafty Crab, is that they seem to offer better combinations when it came to the seafood deals. Dungeness crab is our staple, and they had a great combo that pair Dungeness crab with snow crab and headless shrimp. The fried calamari came with not only marinara, but also a spicy-mayo-wasabi sauce that slapped. Overall, you can't go wrong with Crafty Crab if you're looking for your Cajun boil fix!
