I have never come across exceptional barbecue in Florida until I tried The Liberty Smokehouse. This…read moreis a food truck that travels to different locations (breweries, bars, etc) and offers fantastic smoked meats and sides. My first experience with The Liberty Smokehouse was at Golden Isles Brewing in St. Pete. We tried the brisket and burnt ends with baked beans and mac and cheese. I instantly realized this was on another level, unlike any other barbecue I've tried in the state. All you can do after each bite is say how good the meat is. My second experience was at Outcast Brewing in St. Pete. This time we tried the beef rib with mac and cheese and potato salad. It's recommended to preorder the beef rib because it is limited. The beef rib meal is not cheap at $72, however, it is something that will blow your mind. It was more than my wife and I could finish, so it's plenty of food. The satisfaction of being served a giant smoked beef rib is hard to beat. After speaking with the owner Chef Bryan Jacobs for a short time during our first experience, I could tell that he was a humble man who accepted praise and criticism with grace. It is apparent that the goal of this business is to please its customers with a quality product. This barbecue is really something special and I highly recommend it. One change I would like to see from the business is to have a calendar posted on instagram, Facebook or both that lists their locations and times for the month. I understand it may be difficult as the locations change regularly but it will allow us to plan to be there.

Literally the best brisket I've ever eaten! I also love the twist they have on the chicken. I didn't have one bad bite on the plate and I got to sit in a little beer garden patio while eating even though it was a food truck. I'll definitely be back.

My group and I were craving a seafood boil, so we decided to stop by here. We ordered shrimp,…read morecrawfish, and mussels, and everything tasted amazing. The seafood was fresh, flavorful, and generously sized. Their Mr. and Mrs. Crab special sauce was absolutely incredible, genuinely one of the best seafood boil sauces I've ever tried. I was honestly surprised to see reviews saying the food was bland or lacked seasoning because, as you can probably see from the photos, our platters had plenty of seasoning. The restaurant itself was very clean, nicely decorated with a fun boat theme, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Our waitress was very kind, and the food came out quickly. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a solid seafood boil spot!

Pros: Great customer…read moreservice by Hailey. She checked on me and explained how to eat the crab. She refilled my drink multiple times.. The inside was nicely decorated with many plastic crabs/nets etc. it was very clean. I got the Mr and Mrs Crab seasoning at medium level. It was pretty flavorful. I rarely eat seafood at American restaurants due to it mostly being bland. This was not the case here. The Corn and the lobster were my favorite parts. Cons: Price . For $46 plus tax/tip, I got 1/2 pound snow crab legs, lobster tail ,2 smaller red potatoes,1 half length corn on the cob, and a drink. I can't really blame them for socioeconomic factors, but it was one of the few times I didn't feel full relative to the amount spent. Potatoes didn't really have much spice/sauce in it and felt "isolated" unlike the seafood/corn. Misc: : I've only eaten crab legs decades ago in Red Lobster. For the amount of "work" needed to break and extract the meat with two tools, it is a let down. 6/10 The Lobster Tail fared better. I could eat it manually by picking at it and attacking like Sabertooth killing a helpless Morlock in the tunnels. 8/10 For budget conscious, I'd probably just get 1 pound of shrimp and some corncobs for like $26. Overall: If you grew up eating crab/lobster in New England or other areas and are accustomed to it , this is a nice place to visit. For me it is worth going occasionally and with a different "loadout" of items.
