I was honestly surprised to see reviews saying the food was bland or lacked seasoning because, as you can probably see from the photos, our platters had plenty of seasoning. Pros: Great customer service by Hailey. She checked on me and explained how to eat the crab. She refilled my drink multiple times.. The inside was nicely decorated with many plastic crabs/nets etc. it was very clean. I got the Mr and Mrs Crab seasoning at medium level. It was pretty flavorful. I rarely eat seafood at American restaurants due to it mostly being bland. This was not the case here. The Corn and the lobster were my favorite parts. Cons: Price . For $46 plus tax/tip, I got 1/2 pound snow crab legs, lobster tail ,2 smaller red potatoes,1 half length corn on the cob, and a drink. I can't really blame them for socioeconomic factors,but it was one of the few times I didn't feel full relative to the amount spent. Potatoes didn't really have much spice/sauce in it and felt "isolated" unlike the seafood/corn. Misc: : I've only eaten crab legs decades ago in Red Lobster. For the amount of "work" needed to break and extract the meat with two tools, it is a let down. 6/10 The Lobster Tail fared better. I could eat it manually by picking at it and attacking like Sabertooth killing a helpless Morlock in the tunnels. 8/10 For budget conscious, I'd probably just get 1 pound of shrimp and some corncobs for like $26. Overall: If you grew up eating crab/lobster in New England or other areas and are accustomed to it , this is a nice place to visit. Came here the other night because it had been ages since I ate seafood. I hadn't been here before and my partner brought me because they had before. Service was really slow and we didn't even have a server. Sol took our table because the bartender didn't wanna take us even though we were in the bar area. I ordered the Crabarita which was really good. My partner had a bourbon. I ordered fries for an app because I figured everything was going to take awhile anyway. The fries were good, but the ketchup containers were only half full, so I had to ask for extra. I ordered a half pound of crawfish because I hadn't had any since I was a kid. I also added a half pound of pork sausage and had potatoes and corn. It was a garlic seasoning that wasn't too bad. But I may try a different seasoning next time. Being that I'm from Maryland, the crabs here are delicious. I had the snow crabs with shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn in the Mr & Mrs Crab special seasoning along with the hush puppies and coconut shrimp. ALL of it was delicious!! They give you gloves, a bib, wet wipes and buckets to throw your scraps in. So it helps with the mess of eating seafood. The food came out quick, and our server came often to check in on us. I saw on the menu that the sauce is usually hotter than other places so I got medium but it wasn't spicier than other places so I really could have gotten hot. Located near the University of South Florida, in a strip plaza, this restaurant had a line outside for takeout orders with 6 ft social distancing markers. This was already a good sign...the food must be good! Heads up...you need to call prior to place an order or order online. At this time, you cannot order to-go at the pickup window. I didn't know so I spent quite some time waiting unlike those who called ahead. The staff at the makeshift window were pleasant and the order process was smooth. For June 2020 there is a 10% discount for online orders. I ordered Combo A with the Mr & Mrs Crab Special Seasoning with medium spice and it was finger licking good. If you don't like heat, try the mild spice. It was enough food to be satisfied not stuffed. The takeaway order had everything included as though you dined in; from gloves to wet wipes. I remembered a couple years ago when the first Mr. and Mrs. Crab opened at Pinellas Park, there was always a long line waiting to get in and we lose our patient to fight the crowd. Finally Fowler one was opened and it is close to our house. We had a snow crab, blue crab, shrimp, clam, sausage, corn combination with garlic butter sauce. All the things in the bag were fresh and delicious. The fry chicken wing appetizer was also good. I wore bib and gloves and it was fun to eat by hands. The advantage of dining there- left the pile of shell on the table, no need to clean up. Plus, the services were attentive- crab tool, more water, no problem, come right up. We used a birthday discount coupon. The manage checked the ID, deducted the discount amount and returned the coupon to us. We can use the coupon as many time as we like during the birthday month. My fiance, his parents, and I came in on New Year's Day around 3PM for a late lunch/early dinner. We ordered a set of 12 steamed oysters with sauce on the side for an appetizer; a pound of crawfish with the cajun seasoning; and two orders of the Crabfam Classic, one with the cajun seasoning and one with the Mr. and Mrs. Crab Special seasoning. Each order of the Crabfam Classic as well as the separate crawfish order came with two corn halves and two boiled potatoes. In all, the orders amounted to 1lb of snow crab, 1lb of headless shrimp, 1lb of sausages, and 1lb of crawfish. It was the perfect amount of food for four hungry adults! The only major miss was that the oysters came with sauce on the oysters rather than sauce on the side, and the sauce was quite salty. We had eaten around seven of the oysters by the time our main waitress came back around, and she quickly noticed the error and had the last five replaced for plain steamed oysters. Not a big mistake, but something to note! The Crabfam Classic was great. The two sauces tasted good, but they were pretty similar. The MMC special seasoning basically tasted like cajun seasoning with added curry powder. I think the cajun seasoning is a classic and must get. If you get one of these seasonings, I'd try something else--maybe the garlic butter seasoning! That way there's more variety! We also had our dishes made to the "hot" spiciness level, and next time, we'd go even spicier. The sausages alone were salty but tasty, and the shrimp and crab were so sweet and juicy. The crab shell was a bit soft, so even with the peeling tool it was hard to open. The crawfish came nice and hot, and the tails of the fish had quite a bit of meat in it as far as crawfish go. Overall, I subtracted 1 point for the small mistake with our order and the saltiness of the sauce, especially with the already salty sausages. They serve the meal with a set of disposable plastic gloves for each person, wet wipes, and a bib! We loved it and would come back if we don't make it ourselves at home! read more
