The food is pretty good too just nothing I haven't had before honestly. Still really cute place that I would recommend to people! They have a limited menu so be aware of that, but what they have they do it well. Chicken Fajitas: Doesn't come out smoking hot which I would've wanted but it had great flavor. It was boujee fajitas for sure lol. A bit spicy but I enjoyed that. 8/10 Tacos: a little dry but again had great flavor. 8/10 Queso; tasty but didn't come out super hot, it was kind of clumpy. 6/10 Horchata: omg so good must get 10/10

I arrived during the lunch rush, and both the parking lot and the restaurant were packed. Even though they were extremely busy, we were immediately greeted by a courteous and polite young man who quickly escorted us to a booth. We were seated in Ms. Maria's section, and she was a wonderful server. She greeted us with a warm smile, brought us menus along with the lunch menu, chips and salsa, and promptly served our water. She gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and was friendly, attentive, and very courteous throughout our meal. The chips and salsa were very good. My only suggestion would be to offer a salsa without cilantro for those who prefer it. We ordered the Create Your Own Combo Plate, which included a chicken flauta, a crispy taco, rice, and refried beans topped with cheese for $15.50. The taco was perfectly crispy and well seasoned, while the chicken flauta was covered in a flavorful red chile sauce that had just the right amount of heat. The rice and refried beans were seasoned perfectly and complemented the meal well. We also ordered the chimichanga, smothered in cheese sauce and served with rice and refried beans, for $16.00. It was well seasoned, delicious, and satisfying. The flavors weren't overpowering--they were balanced and enjoyable, making it a dish I would gladly order again. This was my first visit to Mi Dia From Scratch, and I came away very impressed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively, and the restaurant also offers a nice outdoor seating area. Between the excellent service and flavorful food, I will definitely be back. I hope you'll give it a try too!

The burritos were great and if you add the green sauce, it adds a nice kick. Price is very reasonable for the amount of food. I think i'll be back, cuz i can't get enough mexican food. Now, that does leave a lot of unanswered questions, but I'll just assume everything is above board. Fajita vegetables and proteins come out smoldering on a plancha, can't really complain about that. As others have mentioned the chips are no longer made in house, and as a result have the kind of consistency you might expect from bagged tortilla chips. The inside is rather chaotic and could use renovations, however given the rock bottom prices, I suspect you can't have it both ways. Personally I would rather pay more and dine at Lupe's or Animia's, but that's not to say that Ole's is lacking. It serves a unique purpose as the spot you take your rather frugal acquittances or friends to, or as a destination when you already know you're picking up the tab for a large group and are not feeling very spendy. That being said I always default to the fajitas here, the other menu items are not at all bad, just not as strong and lack the same value proposition.

The inside reminds me of most of the Tex-Mex themed restaurants in Dallas. The FESTIVE colors, chairs & booth seating, bar photos on the wall. Service to the table was nothing exceptional. After scanning the menu, I ordered the trio fajita which is steak, chicken, and shrimp. I wanted to be able to pick my meat combo. I really just wanted the Chicken and Shrimp. Luckily, the Mister was able to eat the beef. They came sizzling! The Chicken was tender and the marinade was not over-powering. The shrimp was cooked but very fishy. I squeezed fresh lemon on it and it pulled out the intended flavor. I was not particularly awed with garnishments. I wanted shredded lettuce and maybe my choice of beans black or pinto. Nonetheless, the overall plate was good and I RECOMMEND for anyone looking for a high protein meal. The chips and dip came out first with both salsa and a bean dip. LOVED the bean dip as a counter to the spicy salsa. They did not have queso blanco but I know this is mostly a lower Mexico to central-America staple.

The manager also came and gave us free beef fajita samples since he found out it was our first time. The flavor and juiciness of the beef blew me away. My wife and I got queso to compliment the complimentary tortilla chips and salsa and bean dips. I was a big fan of the beans too, didn't think I would be. We ended up getting a trio (beef, chicken, shrimp) fajita 1/2 pound and it was perfect for the 2 of us. You can taste the grilled and charred flavor on the meats. The chicken and shrimp were slightly on the drier side but when combined with the sour cream, beans, guac, cheese, they were perfection. For the two people, the limitation ended up being more the toppings to the fajitas but it was just enough. At about $25 for 2, that was a steal. The queso was about $9. Right before we were about to leave, Kayla recommended the tres leches dessert and you know we had to try it. It was solid. Loved the cream on top. Definitely would come back again!
