HUGE SANDWICH! I'm a little picky on the breakfast sausage but this is really good and worth the money! I also really enjoyed the latte, not too sweet but sweet enough for me! (And I love sugar) Went in wanting to get To-go and the service was amazing and quick! Didn't have to wait too long at all. I wish I could stay, the place looked like a really great spot to study and get work done or even hang out with a friend!

Went here with colleagues for lunch on a Friday since it was close to Northeastern's campus. Easy street parking. It is a lovely, intimate space. There was enough space for the seven of us to sit comfortably. The server was kind. The food was delicious and they were kind enough to provide us some complimentary desserts! Our only concern was the amount of time it took to receive our food since we were on a lunch break. However, the desserts definitely made up for it!

Such a cute breakfast place with delicious and unique crepes! This is a family-owned business with lovely servers that were so sweet and helpful. They went out of their way to help us with cleaning and setting up the baby chair. I had the mazapan which had a delicious cream cheese filling and strawberries on top. The watermelon lemonade and dulce de leche latte were also super tasty. Can't wait to try more from here.

I grew up in Albany and a brunch spot was definitely missing in the community! Dulce de leche is a cozy spot, food is a 8/10 the French toast 10/10, and their lattes are extremely delicious!!!!

If your from the area or passing by make sure you stop in! Definitely my favorite cafe ever, the coffee is always AMAZING and everybody in here is so sweet and welcoming. It truly makes my days brighter walking in to Dulce De Leche! Make sure you try the Dulce De leche Latte!

My first time here as it was recommended by my SIL. The food was pretty good but for the price of the chilaquiles, i didn't think that it was fully worth it. There was not as much carnitas on the plate and my portion was smaller compared to the other 2 chilaquiles plates at the table. The cafe de olla on the otherhand was delicious and would order that again if I decide for a second try.

As we continued on our journey across Chicagoland to try all the cafes, my husband found this spot in Albany Park. Street parking was very easy to find. We only went for coffee, but I saw right away that they have a very yummy looking full menu with crepes! I will have to go back to try those. I was initially curious to try their beautiful blue matcha and green matcha drinks. When I checked into the Yelp app, I was pleasantly surprised with a 20% off espresso/coffee drink offer. After talking with the waiter, he explained that a lot of the signature drinks made with flavored syrups, but the horchata latte and dulce de leche latte are made with their homemade horchata and dulce de leche - sold! My husband ordered the horchata latte, and I got the dulce de leche. Despite the name, it is not overly sweet, but it is delicious! I look forward to going back to try those matcha lattes and the food.

Cool little coffeeshop with bagels and other breakfast items. Dulce De Leche is a Latino owned small business with an interior that can be described as minimalist. It's not like a hip coffee shop people like to come to hang out. Actually seems like more of a cafe to come and get out after not long. The prices are pretty okay for an independent shop. Breakfast and lunch are when it's open, and it gets most of its business from Latinos. It has a bit of a Mexican flair in the menu items, but there's also typical coffee shop stuff. The coffee menu is pretty basic and small, so it's not like these places with these fancy drinks and that. Best thing here is the Peppermint Latte. It's about $4 for a medium. They can make this with non dairy milks such as oat. Bagels are among the good items. It's about $3 for one with a spread such as jelly. Also has sandwiches at lunch that look good. The next time here I need to get one. Good local business. It's popular with the Latino neighborhood around here. The prices are pretty good for the portions and quality.

Everything was perfect, the chilaquiles were definitely my favorite! The green sauce was not too spicy and it had a great flavor to it! Definitely try the dulce de leche iced coffee, it is sweetens to perfection! The restaurant is clean and there is nice art on the walls. The service was overall good, the waitress was very attentive to our needs!.

Service and food was impeccable. The meal was so fresh and tasty. My Nutella latte was the perfect ratio of Nutella to coffee to milk- not too overpowering but so smooth and creamy. Amazing neighborhood spot!! They speak English and Spanish too- and are patient with me practicing my Spanish. Neighborhood gem!

Ambience - It's café casual. Seat yourself usually and there's waiter service but you pay up front like a coffee shop. No issues there, however. Service - Nothing crazy. The gentleman who waited our table took our order promptly and gave us a share of recommendations. He was friendly Food & Drink - They were out of the champurrado which looked really good judging from the menu description so I settled for an horchata latte. It was made well. Your typical latte art and such but flavor wise was nothing crazy. Cinnamon forward but went down well. As far as crepes and I believe I had the chorizo with papas, it was very good. The Marzapan Crepe was sweet but not overwhelming which tends to be the trend with these colorful creations but this place brings it down a notch so I was satisfied. The rest of the meal was filling and portion size was reasonable Overall, looking forward to coming back !

This is my favorite coffee spot in Albany Park! The owner is so nice and the food and drinks are incredible. They have almond milk and oat milk if you're looking for non-dairy options. They're also being very safe with social distancing and enforcing masks. I highly recommend visiting Dulce De Leche and ordering the horchata latte! You won't regret it! read more

Went here with my mom for the first time & I was excited to try it due to the good reviews. Unfortunately, our first experience was bad. We sat at a table, got the menus brought to us, yet never got our order taken. We waited 30 minutes & the waitress kept passing us. At one point she looked straight at us & just continued to pass us. It was not busy at all, there was only 3 other tables. Some people came in after us & got their order taken. We didnt even get at least drinks!! So ridiculous that in the span of 30 minutes we only got our menus dropped off. We ended up just leaving & going somewhere else. read more

Happened to walk by it today and saw they serve Dark Matter coffee! Went in and they also have a whole menu or food items in addition to your usual coffee and espresso drinks. I just got a coffee--very good--plus they have dairy alternatives like almond and oat milk. Very cozy inside too. Glad to have a local coffee spot with great quality coffee and friendly owners! read more

Dulce De Leche Cafe is amazing, everything is homemade and tastes delicious! Everything I ordered was delicious, the vibe and atmosphere makes this place so warm and inviting. I must say "Torta Ahogada and My Favorite Sandwich" are my favorite. Everything is homemade, which makes Dulce De Leche Cafe unique. Crepes are amazing, my daughter is in love with their crepes! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and educated about their fresh quality items on the menu. They even have specials over the weekend, which are to die for. Lattes are right to the point, not overly sweet and have a great balance of flavor and a good kick of caffeine. Super friendly, very clean and great environment, I can't wait to come back! read more

they have such a huge selection of latte's/expresso/coffees! i tried 2 latte's today, my husband had a cappuccino and we absolutely loved it! we ordered the bagel with lox and chilaquiles which really hit the spot. their food menu has everything from a soup of the day to bagels, crepes and latino inspired food. we will 100% be going back for more! there's definitely more latte's i want to try!! read more

We found this place on Yelp while looking for a casual coffee spot with indoor seating. Met up with a friend here and between us we had a cafe au lait, regular coffee, vanilla latte, breakfast sandwich on a bagel, and breakfast wrap. Everything was delicious and fresh and the staff is very friendly and efficient. We saw several regulars come and go and heard a lot of "Thanks, Omar!" I definitely recommend coming here either to stay or to go and plan on returning often. read more

They definitely deserve all of the stars and I would give them more if I could. I always get the breakfast crepe with egg whites, veggies, and both the meats and the horchata latte and have yet to be disappointed. I have ventured into their other crepe options and they are equally delicious. They are the only breakfast I crave and want right now and have been a perfect welcome back to Chicago after having been away for 3 years. I have yet to eat there in person, having done delivery via Yelp/GrubHub, and the food and presentation does travel well; since delivery wasn't an option today, we did pickup and the inside was pleasantly full of patrons and very cute and clean. Sad to be moving further away but am more than willing to make the drive and eat there, bringing visitors or just on a lazy breakfast day. If they ever decide to expand to Ukrainian village area, I will be the first to be there. read more

Dulce de leche has become my favorite spot to go for brunch with friends and family. Ever since the first time I came here, I fall in love with the atmosphere, their lattes and of course their food. The chilaquiles are beyond delicious, my favorite are with carnitas. They also come with black beans, eggs and avocado. For dessert my friends and I have tried all the crepes. My favorite is the Dulce the leche, it comes with banana and cajeta. I come here every other week and this place keeps impressing me with their hospitality and delicious food. Great addition to the neighborhood! We went for lunch and got the bagel lox and My Favorite and both were delicious! We also order the dulce de Leche crepe and not only was it also amazing but also looked just like the picture on the menu. We had a delightful takeout lunch from Dulce De Leche Cafe. We were greeted by Omar who is deeply passionate about the food. We got 2 orders of the My Favorite chicken sandwich and it was DELICIOUS! It was flavorful and filling without being heavy. The sauce was tangy, a bit spicy, and so fresh. We also loved the seasonal lemonade - a pineapple, cucumber, and chia combination - that was absolutely refreshing. I also loved a marzipan crepe that reminded me of cheese blintzes I used to eat as a kid. CANT WAIT to come back again! read more

tried this place because I wanted a match a latte and I was so pleasantly surprised! I ended up getting a blue matcha (because it was pretty) and liked it more than the normal green tea one. Vegetarian breakfast burrito comes with a nice mix of veggies instead of just rice and beans, which is what most places do. I got the bread pudding as a little dessert but it's big enough to be its own meal! I'll definitely be ordering from here again (: read more

Have ordered twice from here. Both times I've gotten the breakfast burrito and abuelita chocolate latte. First burrito I bought with avocado was delicious and the second time I bought it with the carnitas and it was even tastier. If you like abuelita you'll like the latte my only complaint is that the second time I ordered it the abuelita flavor was not to my liking and it had a lemon aftertaste . But overall the food was fresh and tasty read more

The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that's exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

The natural wood floors furniture ie tables chairs etc and iron work throughout sets the ambiance for old meets new. It works. The wide spacing between tables makes for a comfortable dining experience. So many folks come in to do their work and dine here. What a super addition to the neighborhood that less than a decade ago was essentially a street that was more a run down semi-truck alley. Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent. The pastries are insane and a must take home deal. I love the American Breakfast. Three eggs your way, thick diced America potatoes, thick cut bacon, and sourdough toast. Accompanied by what I believe to be home made jelly and for sure homemade gardiniera. Caruso's gardiniera actually. Diced into a relish unlike most standard gardiniera it's easier to eat with many dishes. Excellent flavor and just the right kick to it. FYI Dolce Arte also sells a to go line of homemade Caruso products from their gardiniera to past and past sauces and more. Yes, their coffee is really good too. Lavazza products I believe. The service is always on point. Casual but on point. Very friendly staff from diverse backgrounds. This is the place you bring people close to you, business lunches, meetings, formal ir informal, or like me, save it for myself as my own getaway spot.
