This was not a friendly place to visit or spend money. My daughter was visiting from Texas. We have been waiting along time to enjoy a Churro as Churros are our favorite. The young girl that came up front I told her it was our first time we have been there . She said unenthusiastically menu up on the board and pointed. This place isn't bad at all, it's just not what we all want it to be. We want an experience where you get this wonderfully made, fresh churro and well.. it is fresh. But, just not as good as I'd want it to be. I'm not that picky, and I'd definitely take this over churros at say Filiberto's... but it's not THAT great. It was a little undercooked, still doughy in the middle. And it was immediately stuck in ice cream, which I told them I wanted on the side. Didn't listen. DON'T believe the hype. I'll never come back here again. My girlfriend and I ordered churros (it was pretty empty with no line for ordering and there were just a few people in there already sitting down)...she ordered the bites with nutella dipping sauce and I ordered the loop with the strawberry dipping sauce. We walked in and the cashier was so-so in attitude and helpfulness when ordering. But, I was really looking forward to it because churros are great. We found a place to sit next to the window of them making them which was fun to watch. About 20 minutes later the line was packed all of a sudden. After about 25 minutes my girlfriends churro bites were ready but I was still waiting for mine. A few more frantic minutes of the staff running around and they handed me my churro and said they would bring me the strawberry dipping sauce. So we ate my girlfriends...waited...I started to slowly eat mine...waited...waited more...then I just decided I'd eat it without the dipping sauce. So we paid a little over $8 for churros that really weren't that good and I never got half my order so I just ended up with a lame boring churro. We just left because they seemed to have little to no interest the entire 25 minutes or so we were waiting there in an empty restaurant for 2 churros and it wasn't worth fighting through the lines to complain about poor customer service, not getting what we paid for, and subpar food. Sadly, Costco sells better churros and you receive them in 1/10th the time for like a dollar. The lesson of the day...save your hard earned money and don't pay over $8 for 2 churros and a tiny cup of nutella to dip it in. I know I won't. read more

I finally got the chance to try this churro place after hearing all the buzz around it. We went in on a Saturday night with about a group of 9. The store was very casual, modern and decent sized. They have a window showing the kitchen and the fryer was front and center. It was cool to see the churros being fried as you place your order. I was overwhelmed by how busy it was. There were families there but also an abnormal amount of children everywhere. The service was still pretty fast for the amount of people in the store. I have mixed feeling about this place because I really enjoyed the churro itself. The dough was delicious and the texture had the perfect chewiness. It was also dusted with the right amount cinnamon and sugar. The real disappointment came when trying the glazes. We tried the white chocolate, frosting and chocolate glazed churros. All of them were overly sweet. The group decided the frosting was actually the best glaze but would have been better on the side because it was so sweet. We paired glazed churros with the guava sauce which was very good. The tartness of the sauce complimented the sweetness of glaze. The chocolate glaze just wasn't good, it was runny and didn't really taste like good chocolate. The white chocolate glaze was entirely way to sweet. I feel like the only way to enjoy a churro from here is to get it deconstructed, which is disappointing because all of the photos that make you want to try this place has fancy churros covered in delectable sauces. read more

We were at a restaurant near by. My 3 year old daughter started having one of her tantrums. My husband took her to dulce to try and distract her but as usual nothing worked to cheer this cranky 3 year old up! As we were walking out the owner noticed that she wanted something "pink" and told us to go back inside and get her a scoop of pink ice cream on them. It worked! This place is excellent! We went on a Friday after 9pm and even though it was busy, the line moved fast, staff was friendly and we got our order quickly. Lots of places to sit inside and outside. Tables and floor appeared very clean, despite how busy it was in there. Seemed like a great spot to come and socialize while enjoying some super delicious treats. What a great little shop, we took our nieces for a treat and decided on this place. The moment we walked in we were greeted with a sincere hello from the young lady at the register, I wish I would have gotten her name but she was very pleasant and from Columbia. Our family loves Dulce Churro Cafe. We have been several times and love the different options. The churros are perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The soft serve ice cream is fantastic and goes well with the churros. I have had the vanilla lemonade on a couple of visits and it's a new twist on a classic treat. Our kids ask to go back all the time, and they don't have to twist our arms very hard to have them take us. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is fun. I walked in to Dulce Churro Cafe for the first time tonight. It far exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Churro Bites with vanilla soft serve ice cream, and it so delicious. The ice cream reminded me of my mom and dads homemade ice cream they used to make. The ambiance was relaxed and very clean so I feel like I could bring my family and we could all have a good time.
