Not sure why Dukes Hotel doesn't have a much better Yelp page, they recently revamped their hotel and downstairs bar "The Practitioner".
First and foremost, I will absolutely miss staying here. Staff was so friendly and helpful, tended to all our room needs, our room "Botanic Suite" had a wonderful street view, no street noise, no noise at all from our neighbors- it was so quiet during our stay we slept well for the most part - my only complaint was the queen bed was actually just two twin beds put together which could be uncomfortable, the TV was placed in the dinning area but made it difficult to watch in bed and there weren't many channels available. The suite was so big, but it lacked a refrigerator, microwave, drawers for clothing, and oddly enough the shower was missing a door. The tub bath included made up for that however. From what I was told the hotel is still being renovated.
This hotel offers a variety of services including wake up calls, tour services, breakfast, transportation set up and much more.
It's a small boutique hotel in a lively and safe neighborhood, right down the street from Queens university and the Ulster Museum, so you'll find lots of pubs, live music, restaurants, market store just a block away, the bus and train station is near by, Uber is easy to use in the area and you can walk to almost anything you need.
I would definitely stay here again! read more
