Salmon is pale, wet, nasty, tasteless, weird texture and they wouldn't do anything about it.
Viet D.

I came here with my sisters, we all got some form of poke bowl. They had tuna which looked like tuna, and I had salmon which looked far from salmon. It was pale, looked like unripe papaya and did not taste like salmon. If yall see my reviews, I never like to trash a place, but this place is trash. I told an employee that the salmon was inedible and he said that its salmon, they made the dish as they were supposed to and it's not his fault that I didn't like it. He also said the salmon is good- it's Ahi grade salmon-- is he kidding me? I was stuck with a meal I couldn't eat. I should have known better thinking I could get decent poke bowl in Gloucester. They lost a customer for life-- now I'm off to chick fil a.

Trainwreck

Duke's is a fantastic sandwich shop. The Maui Wowie(toasted pastrami and avocado) is my go to hot sandwich, and the Trainwreck burrito is perfect day or night. Warner makes a mean Bulleit old fashioned and the $4 fresh squeezed orange crushes are perfect. Love this place!

Wow. Just wow! Or should I say mahalo? It's not a normal deli - it's better with its Hawaiian inspired menu and a variety of sandwiches that are unique and tasty -- it's all surfs up! If you're a poke bowl or sushi lover, well this place rocks. I had the Three Sum poke bowl today and it was delish! Spicy and lovely. I haven't had a bad thing at this place. Service is help yourself and it works for this venue. Laid back and not at all pretentious. My only negative is it's too noisy with the acoustics and volume of music was too loud. But for Gloucester, it's a win. Worth the trip across the bridge!

The chili dog I was talking about. I love the way they put use this cut up cheese and onions. Just wanted a bit more chili. HUGE dog though

Pros- 1. The meat portion was huge. Our two big guys could hardly get their mouths open enough. 2. They had some interesting new soda. Not Pepsi or Coke name brand but still had the same types, cola, root-beer... you get the idea 3. They had a very large menu 4. They were very nice Cons- 1. They dont have chips or fries 2. You can't really see the menu. It is at an odd tint out the window and the sun was glaring on it. Had to move to get into a shadow. Then one of us went ask asked the cashier for a menu 3. We got our food before the people who ordered and paid in front of us, my in-laws. 4. The chili dog really had no chili on it. Just a small line of meat on top of the hotdog. Like maybe two tablespoons spread out. 5. Wait time! The food was great, I am not complaining about taste. The way they had the cheese and onion on top of the dog was great. It being on a Hawaiian made it even better. My in-laws ordered before us and ended up going to find someone for their food. Me and my husband had finished ours already because it was getting cold. They said they were running slow but when he walked to get it he came right back and the food was cold. So my guess is it got made and forgotten till we asked, that being after 25min after ours was served. My main issue was the a lot of chili on that chili dog. If I order a $10 hotdog I should need to wear a napkin over my shirt. I ended up asking for more and they brought I it right then. I would say good food but they just need to get the kinks out since they didn't open that long ago. We will go back and I will update then.

YROC Bowl. The tuna was fresh. The spicy sauce has just the right amount of heat. Everything in the bowl was tasty and lots of rice.

Enjoyed the meal. Excellent selection of beer on tap. Many from local breweries. The poke bowl was fresh and even though it is the small, it was more than I could eat in one sitting. My husband got the Tidal Wave. It is the sandwich he gets every time we eat here. Sorry no picture of that. Maybe next time.

I wish I would of taken mor photos but we ate everything too fast! The food was so fresh and just absolutely delicious. We loved that we order from our phones but how attentive the staff still was. The vibes were flowery chill. I loved the fact that they played such eclectic music. From Dirty Heads to Kenny Chesney. We will be back any and every time we are in this area

Very Satisfied! Restaurant was set up very nicely. Poke Bowls were delicious and still had plenty left over for later. If you go, grab the cream soda from the fountain machine. Definitely hit the spot, highly recommend!

Great little place with outdoor seating, and a casual feel to it, there is a bar and a lot of options if you were looking for a great place for a drink, we ordered to go this time and chose something different for everyone. My youngest had the Pineapple Express, it had chicken bacon and pineapple and all of the toppings, my sandwich was the Yerba which has turkey, Brie Granny Smith apples and bacon topped with honey mustard, the flavors were amazing with the honey mustard adding a little bite on the end, and the Granny Smith apple and the bacon giving the sandwich a nice crunch. My husband ordered the Three Sum a Poke bowl which this place is also known for, and he said it was amazing. It had a good bit of heat and the fish was perfect. My oldest had the KGB which was a meatball sub, and he loved his as well. The portions were huge! There was so much on the menu that looked interesting so I know another visit is in the near future! What a great find!

We love Duke's Deli! The atmosphere at lunchtime is always bright and cheery. The music is loud enough to hear but not overwhelming and the decor is fun. My wife and I have eaten here several times and enjoyed our meal each time. The food is good, real good. Not just mundane like so many places and the prices are reasonable. It's great! The drink selection is different, fun, and satisfying.

Jersey Mike's Subs

I give a 5 star only because the subs are amazing and delicious. HOWEVER WE HAVE FAILED OUR YOUTH!…read moreMy experience this evening was nothing short of I had walked through the doors and had entered another planted another world. Happy as I was to notice that they were not busy was very short-lived. I will refer to these employees as infant #1 and infant #2. Infant #1 tried to take my order three times. She asked me to repeat it because she didn't understand perhaps. I don't know the reason she asked me three times to repeat my order. But once she repeated it back incorrectly I finally threw my hands up and asked her if she spoke English & understood English. Finally, an older young man who I believe was running the show. Asked infant #1 to step to the back, and that he would take care of my order, which was an extremely simple order of which he managed to understand on the first take. Onto infant #2 who was dressing my sandwiches. She looked at me and moved her lips. I asked her if she was speaking, and she nodded yes. I did not hear a single sound come from her lips. I proceeded to explain how I wanted my sandwiches made. Of course she didn't know the difference between sweet peppers and hot peppers. She also dressed the sandwiches with four little bitty pieces of jalapeños. I did ask her to place a few more jalapeños on the sandwiches, which she was able to do. These poor infants could not even speak they didn't have any social skills whatsoever, I have no idea how they even passed an interview process. If Jersey Mike's had been busy, I cannot imagine the fallout of these two infants. The last thing that I want to be is rude and mean , nobody needs that extra karma on their plate. But a person can only take but so much. To the two infants if you ever see this post, I am truly sorry that I made you upset and I am also sorry that we adults failed you in basic life skills.

They opened up about a month or so ago. I live about 80 min away from Cape Charles. So I generally I plan a day trip to visit. My kiddos and I had a Monday trip this week. I was worried they may not be open since sometimes Monday's are a day businesses close to recover from the summer weekend rush. But, they were open! When we arrived we headed straight back to where they are located inside of Table & Tonic.... Super cute store by the way. They still had a pretty good selection around 12:30pm. We picked up some sandwiches, chips, pasta salad, soda and their homemade desserts. They have a whole self checkout system set up. You bag it, and pay for it all on your own. They have plastic wear and condiment packets if needed. The male there (assuming owner) was great. He was attentive and helped a customer chose their sandwich... which ended up being the chicken salad. The sandwiches were fantastic! Fresh and tasty! My favorite was The Virginia. It was like a chicken Caesar salad on focaccia. The bread was perfect, not hard at all. My children raves about the chicken salad sandwich. Their two pasta salad options are a perfect accompaniment to the sandwiches. One is a creamy base and the other is more of an oil and vinegar type of base. Both were absolutely delicious! The salads looked fresh and the homemade desserts were a sweet bonus to everything. I do wish there is lighter options, as tthey do not weigh so heavy on the stomach for the beach. Other than that everything is wonderful and keep up the great work! You will go places for sure!

We popped in to look at the menu and it's a wide variety of deli sandwiches and salads. They also offer a breakfast menu. Staff was immediately helpful and friendly with answering questions. I ordered the pastrami & Swiss, wife ham & Swiss. I also ordered a BLT salad with Italian dressing on the side. Price point decent at $30. The dining room is crazy large, they have merchandise for sale and even an ice cone machine. But most interesting was the fact they facilitate the sell of raw milk through a subscription program through a dairy farm. Bazaaro's offer bottle drinks only including bottle wine. Salad out first, yum! Sandwiches were delivered to the table within 10 minutes or so. Everything is served to go and sandwiches wrapped in foil. I was surprised how much meat was on the pastrami. My wife was satisfied with the amount on hers as well and enjoyed. Loved the fresh rye on my pastrami and taste was pretty good too. We both only ate half and carried the rest out. Overall a very good experience and I was especially impressed with the staff that went out of their way to ensure we were satisfied.
