We stopped by Duke's Delicious and tried the Yerba sandwich, and it was fantastic! The combination of turkey, creamy brie, and crisp Granny Smith apple slices was absolutely delicious. The flavors balanced perfectly, and the pressed ciabatta bread really brought everything together with the perfect texture and crunch. My boyfriend ordered the Jimboy, which had a nice kick to it. It was definitely on the spicy side, but he loved every bite. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Highly recommend! read more

My wife used to live in Hawaii. Apparently there is a famous Hawaiian restaurant called "Dukes", and it seems that these guys are hoping to ride their coattails. There were plenty of tables available both inside and outside; as it was a beautiful day, we opted for the patio. We ordered a grilled chicken sub and a garlic poke bowl, then went outside to wait; they said that they would bring the food to the table when it was ready. It was taking a bit, so we opted to go back in and order two drinks. We sat outside, drinking my beer and her cocktail, and when we were nearly done, realized that it had been more than 30 minutes since first ordering. I went back in to ask if it was coming up soon, to which the bartender glanced back at the service window and responded, "oh, yeah, just came up." He then went back to his restocking duties, then moved on to help someone else! I had to ask a second time if someone could simply have me the food that I had already purchased. The sub was delicious, if not quite piping hot. My wife's poke bowl was not bad, but the container had enough rice for four people. I assume that they bulk it up with rice to add to the "perceived value" so that people don't complain about half-empty bowls, but it was waaaaaay too much rice. Also, she loves garlic and even she said that it was overpoweringly garlicky. Ultimately, I would give the place four stars for food, but only two for service, averaging out to three stars. The weak link isn't the food, it's the people who make it too slowly and don't care about delivering it in a timely manner. read more

I came here with my sisters, we all got some form of poke bowl. They had tuna which looked like tuna, and I had salmon which looked far from salmon. It was pale, looked like unripe papaya and did not taste like salmon. If yall see my reviews, I never like to trash a place, but this place is trash. I told an employee that the salmon was inedible and he said that its salmon, they made the dish as they were supposed to and it's not his fault that I didn't like it. Compared to their original restaurant, YROC, Duke's completely misses the mark. The bowls are very dry, and have enough rice for 3/4 bowls. This is to make you think you are getting an extremely large portion of food, but it's 80% rice, 10% meat, and 10% toppings. Like maybe two tablespoons spread out. 5. Wait time! The food was great, I am not complaining about taste. The way they had the cheese and onion on top of the dog was great. It being on a Hawaiian made it even better. My in-laws ordered before us and ended up going to find someone for their food. Me and my husband had finished ours already because it was getting cold. They said they were running slow but when he walked to get it he came right back and the food was cold. So my guess is it got made and forgotten till we asked, that being after 25min after ours was served. My main issue was the a lot of chili on that chili dog. If I order a $10 hotdog I should need to wear a napkin over my shirt. I ended up asking for more and they brought I it right then. Great little place with outdoor seating, and a casual feel to it, there is a bar and a lot of options if you were looking for a great place for a drink, we ordered to go this time and chose something different for everyone. My youngest had the Pineapple Express, it had chicken bacon and pineapple and all of the toppings, my sandwich was the Yerba which has turkey, Brie Granny Smith apples and bacon topped with honey mustard, the flavors were amazing with the honey mustard adding a little bite on the end, and the Granny Smith apple and the bacon giving the sandwich a nice crunch. My husband ordered the Three Sum a Poke bowl which this place is also known for, and he said it was amazing. It had a good bit of heat and the fish was perfect. My oldest had the KGB which was a meatball sub, and he loved his as well. The portions were huge! There was so much on the menu that looked interesting so I know another visit is in the near future! Tried Dukes for the first time on a Friday around 1 pm. I would have expected more customers, yet there were no more than 20 or so in the restaurant. After I received my $14 sandwich, I asked that it be warmed up. After waiting more than 15 minutes for it to be returned, I had to walk up front and ask for my sandwich as my husband was finishing his meal. Poor, poor service. We are huge supports of local businesses and YROC especially. We've been to Duke's since they've opened probably 5-6 times, always hoping that the customer service will be better and ALWAYS ending up disappointed. The people working don't seem to care at all about literally anything. The food is really good but also pretty pricey for a sandwich. We love the dip and the O sider. Went here during a kid free date night and I'm glad we were kid free... they didn't have a child's menu on the board. We were greeted but a very unenthusiastic person at the register to take our order- like hand on the chin and "Calgon, take me away" look on their face. My husband and I ordered sandwiches and made them combos- chips and a soda. We also got the "Dank bites" which I had heard were like jalapeño peppers on bread, from others. They do not offer regular Pepsi/coke options. It was craft soda and it was absolutely disgusting! My husband settled on a cherry cola i believe and I choked down a pineapple crème that didn't taste like either. We sat outside and waited and waited and waited. A guy finally had our order almost an hour later, coming to us. He tossed it down and left. My husbands tasted like rubbery store bought microwaved Perdue chicken and mine was cold whereas it was supposed to have been hot. It had been sitting for sometime because all the liquid has soaked past the bread into a soggy mess. I had asked for no onions but some appeared on mine, and they forgot to take off the slivers they started to put on. The "dank bites" had no flavor and were burnt. It was not a good meal at all. The only 2 downsides in my opinion is the pricing is a bit high for a sandwich - by itself. The chips/sides/drink are all additional prices. The other is the drinks. This place has the best food! The ambiance is super cool too. Lots of big TVs to watch sports from anywhere you sit, a full bar, draft beer, a huge menu, a really cool unique soda bar where you can try all types of fun sodas. DO NOT RUN A TAB HERE! The food and drinks are great, no complaints. Large tasty portions and tasty, well made drinks. Service is fine - you order at counter and staff brings your meal. The problem arises with their POS accounting. They have several variations of Happy Hour; one that includes certain beverages until 6:00pm and another that offers a drink of the day at a reduced price. Last night I took my daughters to Dukes for our annual daddy-daughter outing. we all ordered happy hour drinks, two orange crush and a wet woody (the special of the day) - the time of the order was 5:18 pm, well within the happy hour time. the bartender asked if I wanted to run a tab, stupid me said sure. at 5:42 I ordered another round to make sure i still received the happy hour price. All seemed fine until I went to cash out At 6:42 pm. I checked the receipt to make sure the items were correct but, again, stupid me, didn't check the prices. Later, I discovered I received a 10% military discount but no happy hour prices. I went back to Dukes at about 7:30 pm to try to straighten out the bill. The manager on duty looked and said I ordered everything at 6:42 pm, past happy hour so no discount. I pointed out that the time on the receipt was 5:12 pm for ordering. He said the POS says 6:42 and argued that he couldn't change it. I refused to accept that answer. He finally recalculated the total but still didn't get it right insisting that I ordered after happy hour. he even said I should not have received the military discount but would leave it. I didn't accept that answer telling him that last week the discount was applied with no problem. (side note - I had a problem with the check last week also with two extra drinks being added that weren't mine). Finally, he recalculated the check again and honored most to the happy hour princes except for one wet woody. I was tired of dealing with him at this point and left. Now I have to check my credit card to make sure I haven't been charged four times for all of the reprints. I have learned my lesson - NEVER RUN A TAB AT DUKE'S DELI, pay as you go and check the bill carefully. read more
