Great people!! The best seafood! A huge variety of fresh local seafood. Amazing prices. Sure wish we lived closer.

I took a pic of the "jumbo" scallop entree. The original Basket version is just 4 scallops and fries for $17, that was my original plan. Even though the scallops weren't local, I was encouraged to get the entree version which had 4 more scallops (so 8 total) and an Xtra side, which I chose Mac n' cheese (house made). But this entree version was $31. So for $14 more I got a scoop of Mac and 4 of these pitiful scallops. I'm sorry but that is egregious. That's highway robbery and there's NOTHING added in the entree variant that justifies that kind of price. The basket version, isn't justifiable at $17 given what's here. Not to mention that its not even plated and everything was in a to-go format. There were flies everywhere that kept crawling on me and I was just ready to leave the moment I recieved my food. Softshell crab and the rest of the food is good. But not THAT good. Two basket-type entrees ran us over $70.

The Hidden Flavor Bomb in a Strip Mall…read more We stumbled upon this place on our way home from North Carolina, and let me just say, do not let the strip mall location fool you. This spot is a flavor-packed gem you do not want to miss. On a random Wednesday night, the place was clean, bustling, and buzzing with satisfied diners. That is always a good sign. The menu is a glorious mashup of Cuban, Puerto Rican, and Dominican dishes. If your taste buds had passports, they would get stamped three times just by looking at it. Our server, who was fast, friendly, and clearly knew her stuff, recommended the traditional Puerto Rican platter. Bless her. This plate was a full-on party. The roasted pork was the kind you dream about--tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. The traditional rice tasted like a family recipe handed down for generations. Sweet plantains added just the right touch of comfort, and the cabbage salad brought a refreshing contrast. It had tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and a balsamic vinaigrette. If I had one suggestion, I would swap in white balsamic instead of dark. The taste was spot on, but the color made it slightly less visually appealing. Someone else in our group ordered the Cubano sandwich, which came out looking like it could feed two people easily. It was massive. They only made it halfway through. The fries were served in a little basket, hot and crispy, just the way they should be. Best of all, everything was reasonably priced. If you are in the area or passing through, do yourself a favor. Stop in, loosen your belt, and prepare to leave full, happy, and a little surprised that a place this good came out of a humble strip mall.

When the waitress took the order she asked "Do you want fries, or chips" in a tone that suggested it was included. It apparently wasn't. When the bill came and the were $8 extra in charges on the bill for fries, my husband asked the woman taking payment to take it off the bill because the waitress inferred it was included. She refused to remove it. She gave us $2 off which was "the best she could do." Lesson learned for me.

It was mostly just texture more than anything. 2. When we ordered sandwiches, the waitress asked us whether we wanted chips or fries for the sides, so we assumed that they were included. Only the *chips* were, though, and the fries were an un-mentioned up-charge. We ended up getting charged an extra $4 per meal for fries that we didn't even ask for :") They managed to take off $2 after we bugged them about it, but still.... 3. Half of the menu was Mexican food, which I usually love, but is a bit odd for an Italian restaurant? My main problem with that is just that *only* the Mexican dishes were included in the lunch special.... Sorry for such a harsh review :( I really don't think the waitress meant to, like, swindle us or anything! I hope she doesn't get in trouble..... (Also, Ms. Waitress, if you're seeing this, then I just wanted to say that loved your makeup So cool!)
