I ordered this rare and it was very tender and flavorful! I thought it was a perfect blend of seasonings. It paired well with the mushroom & onions, as well as the mashed potatoes. Sirloin Steak with mashed potatoes and a side salad- home made blue cheese dressing. My husband wanted this cooked medium well. He said it was cooked perfectly and was flavorful. The dressing is made in house, was creamy, and paired perfectly with the salad. The mashed potatoes were creamy. The broccoli was seasoned well and I did not need any butter for them. We made our selections of salmon for my husband and short ribs with a side of squash. Everything was delicious. We were happy with our selections and so full when we left. I had just come from a hair appointment down the street and on my way back to my car, I noticed Sangria advertised on the mini sandwich board outside. I'm a HUGE fan of a glass of fruity Sangria on a hot day! The fact that it was Happy Hour with $5 glasses made it even easier to draw me inside!! When I explained this was my first visit, they explained the Curio concept, the various areas for sitting, sipping and gathering as well as the Curio Card process. They even had a small but really intriguing menu of various snacks, from charcuterie to flatbread and even dessert. The menu changes a couple times a month, making me want to plan more visits! The staff offered me sips of each so I could decide on a Sangria flavor. Despite not being a Moscato fan, I chose the Moscato Mule Sangria. It was light, refreshing and had the Moscow Mule flavors with the added sweetness of Moscato wine. I wandered into the cellar to explore more wine offerings and wound up running into fellow educators and their friends I had never met. We chatted like we were catching up and laughed about shared birthdays and teaching!! They invited me to hang with them, but I had to get home for Dog Mom Duty. We exchanged numbers so we could plan another "run-in" downtown SOON! If you haven't visited Curio, I HIGHLY recommend it. Bring a friend, or plan on making a few. Not too sweet and you can taste the mint. My husband got the Oaxaca old fashion which he said was good. The ceviche's presentation looked disappointing but the flavors made up for it. The sauce was very flavorful and complimented the mahi mahi very well. My husband said it was the best ceviche he's ever had For entrees I got the 10 oz picanha. They actually give you two pieces of steak and I took the other one home. It was cooked perfectly to a medium rare with great smokiness. The green beans were a little salty. The yuca was good. My husband liked the filet but I think the picanha was better. Out of all the sauces we chose the chimichurri sauce which complimented the steaks very well. Service was really quick and attentive.
