Back in October 2020, it was my first time going to Visionaire Eyecare and I can honestly say it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Making the decision to go to Visionaire Eyecare: I found them through VSP and I liked how they had an online application for new patients. I received a follow-up call the very next day and that they could take me in within the same week which was great. I walked into the office and the staff were super friendly and helpful! They are also very COVID compliant which is great! During the eye exam process, Dr. Wong went above and beyond my expectations by making the process super seamless. Dr. Wong took the time to answer all my questions and provided me with an amazing amount of information I never considered before. He does an amazing job emphasizing the importance of your vision and overall eye health. In March 2021, I got my first frame fitting after getting LASIK (went to a different place to get the procedure done). Both Carol and Marina were super nice and friendly! They were very patient with me and were willing to help me pick out sunglasses for me. I was able to walk out satisfied with my new pair of sunglasses thanks to their guidance. One minor improvement I would like to see is maybe getting an email/text reminder for my upcoming appointment. Other than that, I would highly recommend Visionaire Eyecare! Thank you Dr. Wong and team!

They left a voicemail and told me that I can call back if I have problems. No confirmation or anything. Someone should tell them theyre not the only one in this business. Since October, I have been waiting for…read morea pair of eyeglasses, and the experience has been nothing but frustrating and disorganized. Initially, the optometrist made an error with my prescription, requiring me to return two weeks later for a reevaluation. I had purchased my own frames out of pocket and gave them to the office to insert the lenses. After that visit, I waited weeks for the glasses to arrive, and by the end of November, there was still no sign of them. In December, I was told the glasses had finally shipped, only to be informed later that UPS had "lost" the shipment -- including the frames I personally paid for. Because of this, I had to return yet again for another fitting about three weeks ago. I was assured the new glasses would be shipped directly to my home. Unsurprisingly, they never arrived. When I called last week, I was told there was an issue with their lab and that the glasses would be shipped as soon as possible. When I called again yesterday, I was told they were still at the lab but completed and would be shipped. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. A staff member told me a manager would call me back, but I never received a call. This has been months of delays, poor communication, repeated mistakes, and zero accountability. If you value your time, money, and sanity, save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

I saw Dr. Steven Seto at Eye Clinic of Edmonds for the first time today and I'm impressed. He's honest and very knowledgeable. He answered my questions without any hesitation. While the appointment took longer than expected I couldn't be happier and I will definitely be back. 1. Dr. Seto is an Ophthalmologist not an Optometrist. 2. They didn't charge extra for retina scans. Technically, Dr. Seto visually inspected the retina instead of a machine taking images of your retina. However, here is the difference. The machine only has you looking forward while Dr. Seto's inspection had me looking in all directions. I have a hard time believing the machine was able to capture the sides, top and bottom, but I could be proved wrong. 3. Dr. Seto stated straight up that my vision technically didn't warrant prescription glasses and I could get away with readers from Costco. In this day and age, who is that honest? I have been buying glasses from the other place on 5th every year for seven years. 4. Finally, I could actually get an appointment. The other place doesn't book a year out so you have to call for an appointment since they won't call you. And if you can get an appointment at the other place it won't be with the same optometrist. I walked out of Eye Clinic today with an appointment for next November. Impressive. Can't recommend them enough and if you look at my profile I don't do this very often.

As a diabetic, I expected at least a basic conversation about my vision and what to watch for before my next visit. I got none of that. My next appointment isn't for a year, and I left with no guidance and no sense that my concerns mattered. I won't be back.

Not all glasses stores are the same...and I'll prove it:…read more I have very bad astigmatism in my right eye (+7.25) and have been using the higher quality progressive lenses for my frames. About four years ago, my glasses were getting so worn out, so I opted to get all-new specs. I have a good friend who is an optician, and he always does my measurements and creates my prescriptions for me. I brought my current prescription to the LensCrafters at Northgate Mall (or what's left of it), who promised me their lab could handle my heavy astigmatism. So I picked out a new frame and placed the order. Then they informed me I could get a second pair for 50% off, and I had been wanting to get prescription sunglasses anyways, so I opted to do the promotional offer for those glasses. I left the store feeling good that I had finally paid some attention to getting better eyesight. However, the result was horrific. First off, the lenses they gave me started to scratch up like crazy after the first month, despite my meticulous efforts to use only glasses-approved cleaning solution and microfiber cloth wipes to clean them. I mean, I was religious about it because I didn't want to scratch my beautiful new lenses. Turns out that didn't matter...they continued to get scratched up at a very fast pace. Secondly, they never produced my sunglasses. When I went in to pick up my regular glasses, they told me the sunglasses would take a little longer, which was fine with me. Two months later I called them wondering where my new sunglasses were. They told me the order had been cancelled. When I asked why, they couldn't produce a clear answer. They told me they would "look into it" and would let me know what they found out. They never, ever returned any of my calls, texts, or emails. I had to go back into the store a third time and demanded to know what was going on with my sunglasses order. They again told me the order was cancelled without any explanation as to why. They did not give me any option for honoring their promotional offer, which was the entire reason I decided to get the sunglasses in the first place. It was so infuriating, disrespectful, and negligent. Eventually, they reluctantly refunded my money, and I told them they had lost a customer for life. I was left searching for a new resource for my eye care that wouldn't treat me like a commercial pawn or just another consumer to scam. I live in Shoreline, so I took a chance and gave a call to Shoreline Eyecare. They were very understanding of my predicament and suggested I come in so they could see the glasses, my prescription, and give me their overall assessment of what would be a good next step for me to take. I immediately felt like someone actually gave a shit about my eyesight...which was very refreshing given the hellish experience at LensCrafters. My experience got even better after my first visit. I was offered a free check-up to verify the accuracy of my prescription, and then I met with a nice employee named Ally to review lens options for my existing frames (I wanted to keep the frames). When I showed her the glasses I got from LensCrafters, she looked them over for about twenty seconds and said my lenses were very likely defects because of the nature of the scratches and the fact they were so bad after a short period of time. As my blood boiled about being taken for a ride by yet another consumer-preying corporate entity such as LensCrafters, my conscience was slowly being convinced I had come to the right place at Shoreline Eyecare. It was exceptionally clear to me that Ally was thinking and acting upon my best interests. As she made suggestions, she checked the system to see if my insurance gave my discounted or covered options, she shared alternatives, showed me the supply line items for total transparency, and just made me feel like she was now my eyesight partner, as opposed to someone trying to sell me new glasses. When I decided to pull the trigger on the new lenses, I also decided to get the sunglasses as well since this seemed like a place that would be able to fulfill such a request. Ally informed me that, based on my insurance policy, it would behoove me to wait until after the new year because, at that point, she could apply a vision discounting to my order and save me close to $200! So I chose to do that for my regular glasses and went ahead with the sunglass order in the meantime. Ally helped me get the new lenses for my glasses ordered, they fit perfectly, and I'm now enjoying amazingly sharp and clear eyesight. Even being out of network for my insurance couldn't keep my business away. If you want real help for your eyesight, make sure you go to Shoreline Eyecare.

It was terrible and actually worst than the Dollar Tree $1.15 glasses. I had no idea of Costco warranty and waited 2 months too late. Went back and got another prescription. This time it was with the husband. Got another pair through Coscto...and this time it was right on. Yes, I paid 100% all over again. 14 months later, after losing both nose pad pieces and replacing them with an Amazon kit, I lost the right lense. Found out the screw in the frame had fallen off. Drove today to Costco and was first in line. The lady was super nice and took care of it. It seems great. I got home and , as a watchmaker, I have these magnifying glasses that are amazing. That Costco employee used an oversized flat head screw, not the Phillips size original screw. It works so far. I can see the frame is misaligned and will never be able to be repaired ever again. She did the job. Was she good at it? NO. I bought glasses through Costco. Within a year, I lost both nose pieces and soon after the right lense from another lost screw. The repair done was unprofessional and destroyed my glasses. BTW, an eye exam is now $85.00 Talking about cost of living, from $50.00 to $85.00 in less than 18 months, do the math.
