When I found out Lynn is managing this practice, I had to warn other people about her. I heard the main doctor is great here, but if she is the helper for the doctor, I would be careful. She talks about things she doesn't know anything about because she thinks she is so smart and above the doctors and will tell you things that are incorrect. She would argue with you because she thinks she knows better than the patient or their family members. It is so dangerous, I had to take my father away from the previous clinic that she worked at because of this assistant. She would say things that would contradict the doctor because she "thought" the doctor was not 100% right about my father's glaucoma care. She even said my father had cataracts before the doctor even said anything! If she is training the people working here, I would be very cautious about the information they give you that isn't from the doctor directly.

My next appointment isn't for a year, and I left with no guidance and no sense that my concerns mattered. I won't be back.

Rather than just tell me the first time I called that Shawn Nash was unable to prescribe an eye drop they let me call numerous times and gave me an email to reach him. It did not occur to me to check online reviews of a physician but after my experience with Dr. Samuel Seto, I checked YELP and found numerous reviews commenting on his rudeness. That told me that it wasn't just that he was having an 'off day', or that it was me, but that this behavior is typical for him. Check the YELP reviews for Dr. Samuel Seto as well as for Eye Clinic of Edmonds. I have been having eye exams for decades and this exam to determine the prescription for eyeglasses did not go well. I answered each question about which object was clearer - #1 or #2, to the best of my ability based on what I was seeing. But, for some reason, the results were conflicting and not clear. I was just calling it as I saw it. This required a second appointment. There was no mention that I would be charged twice. I pointed this out to them after getting the invoice but they would not reconsider the charge. So, I paid twice for the refraction exam. When I was unable to answer specific questions about an eye procedure I had 25 years ago, Dr. Samuel Seto became rude to me. He was also rude, to the point of raising his voice, when the results of my refraction exam were not conclusive. When I first made the appointment, I asked if they accepted my insurance plan and if they were in-network and was told they did and they were in-network. When I arrived for my first appointment, I presented my insurance card and was told they accepted that insurance. They submitted the claim for the two refraction exams (which is not covered by my insurance) as well as the complete eye exam. This claim was denied. While a complete eye exam IS covered by my insurance, I was told that the doctor was not in-network. It appears my insurance carrier contracts out vision care to another entity. It took numerous phone calls, emails and texts between me, Dr. Seto's office and my insurance company to resolve this. Eight months later, the insurance covered the expense. Just prior to my second appointment for the refraction exam, I texted the office to ask if Dr. Seto could check my eye, while I would be in for my appointment, because I felt there might be a foreign object in my eye. I was told, via text, that yes, he could check my eye. While in my appointment, I asked Dr. Seto about checking my eye for a foreign object and he had no idea that I had requested this. He was visibly annoyed and called in the staff member responsible to ask if this was true. There was obviously lack of communication between Dr. Seto and his staff. I also found communication with staff to be difficult. Most of the time when I tried calling the office, it would go directly to voicemail. I would then almost immediately receive a text from them. There are positive reviews for Dr. Samuel Seto on YELP. However, when I see the same complaints from different people, from different points in time, that tells me something.

The support staff Andie was amazing! (and the 2 front reception) have been friendly and kind. Dr. Bajenova (and Dr. Chan) are very down to earth, patient and have calm demeanors. They also are real enough to even laugh with you and still be professional. I didn't feel rushed, and I was able to understand the logic of why my particular procedure would be done and why. Without informing me, they gave me an eye exam, with NO testing for what my prescription should be. Just an exam, no prescription. When I DARED to question them, they told me "we have terminated patients that have spoken out in our office. THEN they sent me a REGISTERED LETTER, telling me they had terminated me. It made me laugh because I would NEVER consider going back to them. They were rude, did not provide the service I needed, and ultimately I went to another doctor, paid for an exam and prescription ( for the second time). Overall it WAS A TERRIBLE experience.

I filled intake form(s) out before arrival and the 10 minute pre-appointment check-in time held true (I was few minutes early to that and the 10 minutes was fine). The eye exam was quick and pupil dilation had two different methodologies to choose from, one with drops and one with a scan/picture that cost a little more. I opted for the camera and even got to see the pictures of my eyes, not sure if I had seen any in this capacity before. Ordering a new pair of glasses also went smoothly and I was happy to find a number of options in my budget ballpark figure and style preferences. The wait time was approximated at about 2 to 3 weeks and they were ready about 8 days later (I picked them up about the 9 days later mark). Workers I interacted with via the phone and in-office were all friendly and professional. The location of the business was calm and parking relatively easy to navigate both of my times coming in.

Then, on to the exam with Dr. Gill. He's led this practice for about three years. I really appreciated his pace during the exam, intuitively responding to my uncertain silences when asked "1 or 2?" by simply switching back/asking again. I LOVED not having to ask to see 1 and 2 again, especially when I needed him to cycle back 2 or 3 more times. He read the room and went with it. That kind of attunement and demeanor relaxes the patient and improves exam accuracy. I left the exam room very happy with the service and confident about the prescription he wrote. They have a wonderful selection of glasses, but none were the frames I'd seen and purchased elsewhere. I sheepishly put them on to show Julie what I had in mind, and she said "I LOVE them! You should get those!!! We can order the lenses and put them in here!" She took me from sheepish to validated and very happy in seconds. She put me, not a frame sale, first. I highly recommend Dr. Gill and his staff at Vision Plus MLT for your eye care. They're great for all the reasons listed above. BONUS: this is a VSP practice. They submit to VSP and collect the patient share at time of service, meaning there's no paperwork for you to submit later for reimbursement.

After several years of searching for an optometrist that would actually take care of my needs I have found one in Dr. Karrick. I have astigmatisms and keratoconus which means that my vision is difficult at best to correct. Dr. Karrick took the time necessary to correct my vision to the best that it have been corrected in a long time. I would recommend Edmonds Eyecare Associates, and Drl. Not all glasses stores are the same...and I'll prove it:…read more I have very bad astigmatism in my right eye (+7.25) and have been using the higher quality progressive lenses for my frames. About four years ago, my glasses were getting so worn out, so I opted to get all-new specs. I have a good friend who is an optician, and he always does my measurements and creates my prescriptions for me. I brought my current prescription to the LensCrafters at Northgate Mall (or what's left of it), who promised me their lab could handle my heavy astigmatism. So I picked out a new frame and placed the order. Then they informed me I could get a second pair for 50% off, and I had been wanting to get prescription sunglasses anyways, so I opted to do the promotional offer for those glasses. I left the store feeling good that I had finally paid some attention to getting better eyesight. However, the result was horrific. First off, the lenses they gave me started to scratch up like crazy after the first month, despite my meticulous efforts to use only glasses-approved cleaning solution and microfiber cloth wipes to clean them. I mean, I was religious about it because I didn't want to scratch my beautiful new lenses. Turns out that didn't matter...they continued to get scratched up at a very fast pace. Secondly, they never produced my sunglasses. When I went in to pick up my regular glasses, they told me the sunglasses would take a little longer, which was fine with me. Two months later I called them wondering where my new sunglasses were. They told me the order had been cancelled. When I asked why, they couldn't produce a clear answer. They told me they would "look into it" and would let me know what they found out. They never, ever returned any of my calls, texts, or emails. I had to go back into the store a third time and demanded to know what was going on with my sunglasses order. They again told me the order was cancelled without any explanation as to why. They did not give me any option for honoring their promotional offer, which was the entire reason I decided to get the sunglasses in the first place. It was so infuriating, disrespectful, and negligent. Eventually, they reluctantly refunded my money, and I told them they had lost a customer for life. I was left searching for a new resource for my eye care that wouldn't treat me like a commercial pawn or just another consumer to scam. I live in Shoreline, so I took a chance and gave a call to Shoreline Eyecare. They were very understanding of my predicament and suggested I come in so they could see the glasses, my prescription, and give me their overall assessment of what would be a good next step for me to take. I immediately felt like someone actually gave a shit about my eyesight...which was very refreshing given the hellish experience at LensCrafters. My experience got even better after my first visit. I was offered a free check-up to verify the accuracy of my prescription, and then I met with a nice employee named Ally to review lens options for my existing frames (I wanted to keep the frames). When I showed her the glasses I got from LensCrafters, she looked them over for about twenty seconds and said my lenses were very likely defects because of the nature of the scratches and the fact they were so bad after a short period of time. As my blood boiled about being taken for a ride by yet another consumer-preying corporate entity such as LensCrafters, my conscience was slowly being convinced I had come to the right place at Shoreline Eyecare. It was exceptionally clear to me that Ally was thinking and acting upon my best interests. As she made suggestions, she checked the system to see if my insurance gave my discounted or covered options, she shared alternatives, showed me the supply line items for total transparency, and just made me feel like she was now my eyesight partner, as opposed to someone trying to sell me new glasses. When I decided to pull the trigger on the new lenses, I also decided to get the sunglasses as well since this seemed like a place that would be able to fulfill such a request. Ally informed me that, based on my insurance policy, it would behoove me to wait until after the new year because, at that point, she could apply a vision discounting to my order and save me close to $200! So I chose to do that for my regular glasses and went ahead with the sunglass order in the meantime. Ally helped me get the new lenses for my glasses ordered, they fit perfectly, and I'm now enjoying amazingly sharp and clear eyesight. Even being out of network for my insurance couldn't keep my business away. If you want real help for your eyesight, make sure you go to Shoreline Eyecare.

He also switched the arm from a matching pair of sunglasses I had purchased. He then straightened the reassembled frames. All in about 30mins. A second pair of glasses was made with the new prescription, but that also failed to meet my needs. In 15 years of wearing bifocals, I have never experienced this with any other eye care provider.
