I would not recommend Edmonds Eye Care Associates to anyone. Since October, I have been waiting for…read morea pair of eyeglasses, and the experience has been nothing but frustrating and disorganized. Initially, the optometrist made an error with my prescription, requiring me to return two weeks later for a reevaluation. I had purchased my own frames out of pocket and gave them to the office to insert the lenses. After that visit, I waited weeks for the glasses to arrive, and by the end of November, there was still no sign of them. In December, I was told the glasses had finally shipped, only to be informed later that UPS had "lost" the shipment -- including the frames I personally paid for. Because of this, I had to return yet again for another fitting about three weeks ago. I was assured the new glasses would be shipped directly to my home. Unsurprisingly, they never arrived. When I called last week, I was told there was an issue with their lab and that the glasses would be shipped as soon as possible. When I called again yesterday, I was told they were still at the lab but completed and would be shipped. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. A staff member told me a manager would call me back, but I never received a call. This has been months of delays, poor communication, repeated mistakes, and zero accountability. If you value your time, money, and sanity, save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

I chose this clinic based on positive reviews after a bad experience elsewhere for my daughter, but…read moreunfortunately, those reviews were misleading. Before scheduling, I confirmed that my daughter met the age requirements and that the doctor treated her specific eye condition. I also offered to transfer her records in advance and was told it wasn't necessary. Six months later, just days before the appointment, the visit was rescheduled because the doctor wanted to extend a holiday break. Then, on the day of the rescheduled appointment, it was cancelled entirely. Only then was I told, after reviewing her records, that the doctor could not provide the necessary testing and was not the right specialist. This was far more than an inconvenience. The clinic wasted six months of our time and delayed my daughter's care. Had they been upfront from the start, we could have sought appropriate treatment elsewhere. I recommend looking for a different clinic.

On April 10, 2025, I had a highly disappointing experience at Eye Associates Northwest in Edmonds,…read moreWA, with Dr. Ted Zollman. Despite some positive aspects, the overall visit was marred by significant issues that overshadowed any redeeming qualities. I was genuinely impressed by the scheduler's dedication. When I called to book an appointment for one doctor, the scheduler spent considerable time verifying my VSP insurance details and confirming which doctors were in-network to ensure I had no out-of-pocket costs. I was so impressed that I shared this experience with others, as I had never encountered such a thorough scheduler before. After my initial experience I was optimistic about how this would likely go. However, the positive impression ended there. Upon arrival I confirmed with the that I would have no out-of-pocket costs. Unfortunately, the appointment quickly went downhill. I didn't realize they had sent me an email with forms to fill out prior to the visit. When I arrived, I was handed what felt like a "bible" of forms to complete. As a compliance lawyer, I found the volume of paperwork excessive, especially since it omitted critical information like potential out-of-pocket charges. This lack of transparency was frustrating and felt like more than an oversight. The office was experiencing an internet outage, rendering their tablets and software inoperable. Despite this, they insisted on proceeding with the appointment, claiming everything would be fine. The eye exam was shockingly brief and inadequate. The technician used my old prescription, flipped through only a few (less than twenty lenses, in the exam machine, and concluded my prescription hadn't changed--all while struggling to manually record the information on paper due to the lack of digital systems. The technician was very personable and down to Earth however from the minute I arrived the entire process felt rushed and unprofessional even given their issues with the Internet. I get it. I would lose it if I lose it if I lost the internet access that largely drove the procedures at my business. Still, I wouldn't have provided this low level of service. Instead, I would have closed that day. This is the opposite experience of reviews I have written about my experiences at Bella Vision Bothell and Dr. Varon at Kaiser in Pacific Center downtown Seattle, upon discovering I have an eye infection, insisting that I needed to get my infection cleared up and then come back several times for no charge to confirm my prescription is EXACTLY correct. My interaction with Dr. Zollman lasted a mere five minutes, with no meaningful discussion or thorough evaluation. On the positive side, it was clear Dr. Zollman had read my chart before walking in. Upon his arrival, he asked me a few relevant questions. However, he spent more time outside the exam room worrying about the printer and going with the technician's suggestions entirely. To make matters worse, a month later, I received a bill for $150, which included a $50 charge for who knows what. $100 was attributed to a "contact lens fitting" that was never discussed and which I was explicitly told would be covered by my VSP insurance. I called today and thought that the person who answered the phone in billing was nice, professional and easy to understand. I didn't think explaining charges that shouldn't be there was an easy job and sympathized. She acknowledged the $50 was a mistake and reduced the bill to $100. This error, combined with the joke services, lack of transparency, felt deceptive and like a scam. I would normally fight this kind of thing out. However, I am under serious orders not to stress while I await my lung transplant. Further, I just recently paid off every bill and credit card so fighting this seemed like more hassle than it was worth. I looked at the various websites for Eye Associates NW to figure out why it seemed so crazy relative to every other eye exam I have ever experienced. I found out that they are a small group of md's who rotate around the different clinics. While I was surprised almost everyone in the practice was an MD/DO rather than an optometrist. However, given the amazingly bad exam, I would not recommend Dr. Zollman or Eye Associates Northwest Clinics. Just go to your local mall/Costco eye exam place and schedule an exam within a day or two. Given my own experiences, I feel certain that they would do a much better job!

The support staff Andie was amazing! (and the 2 front reception) have been friendly and kind. Dr. Bajenova (and Dr. Chan) are very down to earth, patient and have calm demeanors. They also are real enough to even laugh with you and still be professional. I didn't feel rushed, and I was able to understand the logic of why my particular procedure would be done and why. (Past experience this same situation at NWeye came up, now with this hindsight, the very curt Dr. Did not explain to me WHY she wanted to start with a particular eye first. I felt frusterated, unheard and confused, so i did not have the procedure done, 6 years ago.) I was not upsold anything at Edmonds/Harman eye clinic that I wouldn't need, in fact It was explained that I shouldn't get the most expensive choice i wanted bc it in reality wouldnt make enough of an impact for my sight. So, grateful for that! Saved over 4k out of pocket! Thank you. I haven't had my procedures done yet, but now I am walking into this feeling confident and excited now. The anxiety and anticipation has lifted. 《 I will update in a few months! 》

Without informing me, they gave me an eye exam, with NO testing for what my prescription should be. Just an exam, no prescription. When I DARED to question them, they told me "we have terminated patients that have spoken out in our office. THEN they sent me a REGISTERED LETTER, telling me they had terminated me. It made me laugh because I would NEVER consider going back to them. They were rude, did not provide the service I needed, and ultimately I went to another doctor, paid for an exam and prescription ( for the second time). Overall it WAS A TERRIBLE experience.
