They have some beautiful prints on the wall, but they are not worth SHIT because of the absolutely vile behavior of their staff. I walked in, ready to spend what would literally be thousands of dollars on prints for a show. Despite having heard from friends and co-workers about sloppy scan and print jobs, I had heard some good stuff too so I stuck with my gut. After being un-acknowledged and essentially completely dismissed by multiple people at the counter, I was almost embarassed that I had done something offensive. When I asked a question after having stood there, I was brushed off with a rude comment by the man at the computer (I am not quite sure now what it was) but at that point I was so disgusted that I just left. I will be the better person in this situation and not name-drop where I went after, but there are plenty of great options nearby that put care into their customer and definitely their work. I got some beautiful, beautiful work done by normal, at least decently behaving people and probably saved a bunch of cash for everyone involved. Duggal must have a fucked up owner/management situation. I am sure this does not speak for all the employees but the poor bastards up front are miserable and f up the face of the company. read more

I had heard about Duggal, and it seemed like they were capable of doing anything, so I assumed they would be a professional outfit. Whoops. From the moment I got there things seemed sort of out of place. There was one guy working the counter who seemed friendly, but the woman I talked to, well, she mocked me like a 3rd grader. I went up to the counter and said, "I called earlier and Blank told me to come by anytime, where can I find her?" To which she responded, while getting about 6 inches away from my face and tilting her head back and forth, "OH! You want to see Blank? Is that who you want to see, BLANK? Oh really, Blank, thats who you want to see?" And then pointing behind her. How can they hire anybody so blatantly rude? When I went into the office to talk to the woman I had called earlier to go over my prints my experience was only slightly better. First when I asked her for her advice on what paper to print on she asked another man in the room (who I believe is the owner) he started trying to talk me into printing it on metallic paper and when I tried to ask him a question about it he said, "Blank asked me what paper to use, I told her to use the metallic paper because that would look the best and it is the right opinion" and then walked away. OK. I guess they don't like people questioning them... Then when I asked her what kind of papers they had for large format printing she had to get up and search the room for samples. They don't have a sample book? Everything was disorganized and she was looking through scraps on the desk, in drawers, on the floor. Finally she brought me back 1 glossy piece and 1 matte. When I asked her about any other matte options she found 1 more sample. Before I left she mentioned some other matte papers... I could easily write a lot more about my negative experience at Duggal. They were rude to me at every step in the process and if I wasn't there to do some printing for my boss I would have called them out on it and left instead of wasting my money there. The people of New York should boycott Duggal so they go out of business and some better print shop can buy up there equipment. Awful. read more

I hate dealing with photos. I am very impressed with the quality of the product I ordered from Duggal Visual Solutions. I had twelve photos made into a canvas collage and it was done so well. I didn't specify how to organize the photos, but they were sized and organized just how I would have done it. For example, the photos have different people in them, but some of the same people in various photos, and the pictures that have the same people in them are not close to each other in the collage, so the whole canvas has amazing variety and flows very, very nicely. The quality of the canvas itself and the inks used are very high. As an artist, this sort of thing matters to me, and Duggal Visual Solutions absolutely nailed it. Great company! I loved the idea of filling in my own quotes (for I consider myself to be quite the comedian) on cool, retro pop art. My canvas looks and feels great, and the colors really pop! Fantastic work! I recently repainted my apartment and wanted to add photos and paintings to my bare walls. I decided to put together a collage with my recent travel pictures and a friend recommended Duggal. I sent 10 pictures and left it up to them to put the pieces together. Honestly I was quite nervous about how it would look as I'm quite picky about my photos and collages. I must say that I am beyond pleased with my collage. The product was good, the customer service was horrific. I needed a rushed print job of a large drawing (5' x 7'). After considerable problems (see below), they eventually printed and delivered the piece. It looked great and the delivery to the framer was done without problems and at a reasonable price. The product was done professionally. Couldn't expect more. However the effort to get that product was something I don't want to repeat. My phone calls were consistently left unanswered. People rarely called me back. I received different quotes from different sales reps. When it came to billing they switched cards somehow and billed some random person's card. I requested an invoice and never got one. The mix up was only discovered when the third party's card complained about the inexplicable charge. They called and I gave them my card for the second time and they billed the wrong one again. I again called back a week later asking about an invoice. Once it came I found it had charged some random card again. Two months after the printing they still haven't solved the billing. In short, great product, terrible service. Beware. read more

I went in with high hopes but left completely ripped off. Since I got my first DSLR nearly 10 years ago, I've built a collection of almost 100,000 pictures but perpetually delayed printing larger than the 13"x19" that my home photo printer allows due to the time and expense needed to create big prints, and because I wanted to get mine right so I can be happy with them for a long time, possibly the rest of my life. In 2016 I finally decided to tackle this project, spending some time learning Photoshop and setting aside a budget to fill my home with large prints of my work. I understood that Duggal is priced higher than its competitors but I wanted to get the work done right so I went in and talked to them, planning to test the water with one print before sending in the rest. The sales rep was initially helpful, giving me samples of the various paper types and letting me know that for the 30"x40" job I was ordering, I would be eligible for a test print/strip to make sure the colors, etc. look correct. I went home with the paper samples and after making a decision, went back with my image. Things went downhill from here. I met with the same sales rep who now seemed significantly more interested in his cell phone than in working on my order. I'm very sympathetic to people having personal issues to deal with so I sat patiently; unfortunately this was a indication of bigger problems that were yet to come. Eventually he told me that the job should go straight to final print without any testing or reviewing. It seemed a little odd to me since my home computer isn't calibrated to their printers, but I've never done this kind of job before and they're the professionals, so who am I to argue? I asked a basic question about the matting process since I'm unfamiliar with it, but he gave me a vague non-answer and seemed completely uninterested in helping me understand. That or he himself didn't know the basics of the process. After completion of the printing, I saw that the colors were a little off from what I expected. They were close enough that I could live with them so I didn't complaint or ask for a reprint - but it would have been nice to have the test before going to final print so that it could be exactly to my liking. The bigger problem though was that there was a very noticeable white streak in the middle of a dark section of the image that was not in my digital file. It looked like the printer may have failed to apply ink in this section, or some dust interfered with the application of ink, and it was sufficiently noticeable to be a problem that I could not live with. I reached out to the sales rep and was ignored. He finally responded to a second email, acknowledging the problem and indicating that I should bring the print back for them to take a look. I sent a follow up to coordinate with his schedule; this was ignored, together with fourth and fifth attempts on my part to get an answer. I waited patiently over the holidays just in case he had been out of office, but we're now well into the new year and I never heard back so at this point there's just no excuse. Ignoring me when there was a problem is disrespectful and unprofessional, and I just wish I had seen the signs from the beginning instead of wasting my time with Duggal. I'm now having to work with another company to get the print done correctly, as well as with my credit card issuer to dispute the charge. Hopefully readers of this review can learn from my experience -- I certainly won't be giving any more business to Duggal. read more

First of all this place is a rip off, i went there to develop my 120 film, i had 3 black and whites and 3 color films, when i got my film the 3 B/W films came out pretty well and my 3 color films came out ruined and they said it was my fault but i'm sure that they screwed up the color films. * when i opened the box with the film i found another roll of someone else's film, they have not professionalism with other people's work. maybe this place is good to print a poster but to develop a film it's a bad choice. read more

I was at your 23rd street store today. I had to get a print made for donation to a Wildlife Organization for their annual fundraising auction. I had intended to make a 48 by 36 inch print. It turns out that my original raw file was somehow corrupted and therefore could not be used. Omar Columbus and Hardy Rosenstein came to my rescue and literally saved me from having a near heart attack. They explained that I could get a smaller print from my surviving jpeg of the same image. Omar took a lot of time to show me all the possible printing options including sizing and finishes. Hardy ran to get me coffee to make sure that I didn't collapse after hearing the bad news concerning my only raw file. They both took the time to try a variety of strategies to possibly retrieve the original file. Additionally, I showed both gentlemen new images I had just shot in Iceland and they enthusiastically showed me a stunning variety of options they could offer for my final prints. I will be ordering those prints, including light boxes within the next month and hope to sell many of them. Additionally, Omar encouraged me to join "Your ArtGallery.com", which I intend to do. I had to write to you to let you know that if I had gone anywhere else I would have been very disappointed and not been able to have my work displayed on a world stage. Very slow and careless service ! If I knew that it will take 5 days to print my photos ( while thousands of places do it on the spot ) I would never waist my time waiting in line for 20 minutes and then look for someone to help another 20 minutes . For a pick up its a whole different story. If you come at 5.45 and it was scheduled for 6 don't expect it to be ready . And the best thing about this wonderful service was the astronomic price ! Uhhh...$9.60/roll for develop only, only to find that they use the lowest quality sleeving on the market and scratched EVERYTHING!!!!! Oh, and they threw in some dust for free as well. Thanks for ruining my irreplaceable film, Duggal. And since that is your regular sleeving, you are knowingly ruining everyone else's film as well. DO NOT develop film here. I should have been tipped off by the people at the counter complaining about ruined orders when I was dropping off and picking up, and how expertly the counter person handled them. You don't get those skills without fielding a ton of complaints on a regular basis. read more

I had never used them before, but from the moment I inquired about the printing to getting the image printed they went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with their services. Throughout the process I corresponded with Felicia who was always incredibly courteous especially since each time I called they were really busy and pressed for time to fulfill orders.
