Today, I worked with Jeff Frankle at Duggal to get a rush print ordered. I couldn't have been treated nicer. From first answering the phone until finalizing the order, Jeff was patient, kind, and generous every step of the way. My order was very simple -- one 8x10 head shot for my recently college-graduated son who is going on an audition tomorrow but who had not planned ahead and was stuck trying to get a rush print (with dad's help ordering). I was not a big corporate client. I was not ordering wall-sized giclee prints. I was ordering one measly 8x10. But Jeff treated me as if I was Duggal's most important client. And to me, that is the ultimate in customer service -- EVERY customer matters. I work professionally as a theater photographer, so photography itself is no stranger to me, but in my business I don't really ever have a need for prints. It's all digital. But you can be sure that when I do, I will be contacting Duggal, and I am completely confident that I will be treated fairly and generously by Jeff Frankle. He was so nice, that I told him that I hope things come full circle and that someone out there in the world is equally nice and kind to him, as he was to me. I've been working with Duggal for over 10 years, first for commercial work, but most intensively in the last 7 or 8 for fine art work. Printing and mounting (haven't used their framing services yet) in many different sizes, materials and printing processes. It's great to have the skills, talents, capabilities and facilities of such a major commercial lab available to a fine art process. I don't know if people realize that they can cover every bus stop in the city with ads, and also cover the walls of a Chelsea art gallery. Pricing is very fair for what they do and they will go the extra mile with you to make things just right. Ken, who heads up Digital-C, can make amazing prints happen. Being such a big place and with so much going on there at once, it's not exactly a "boutique" experience, so it helps to 'know someone' on the inside. The person you want to know is Hardy Rosenstein, in customer service. He knows the business inside out, and is totally committed to the success of his clients' projects. I'm sure the other CSRs are good too, but he's the one I've always worked with, and I'm still going back after 10 years. In fact, I'll be seeing him later today when I go to pick up my latest exhibition prints. read more

I went to Duggal to work on my wedding invitation suite. I will first say that the office and site is very impressive and displays their wide range of work that they are capable of. I was partnered up with Laurene who acted as an onsite Art Director, Project Manager and Designer all in one. She helped guide me every step of the way and was easy to reach and quick to respond. I was able to sit down with her and review all the cardstock and print options. She helped with the design and layout and sent me digital proofs for first review. Once I reviewed the digital proofs she sent us home with hard proofs to make a final review before going into print production. I had a selected a very difficult and advanced print process in which I had copper spot foil treatment on linen paper and she made it happen and advised the workers to be completely thorough, careful and work with absolute precision. I highly suggest working with Duggal for any of your printing needs as they truly care about their clients and they themselves become invested in the project. Great work Duggal team!! read more

I have known Hardy Rosenstein for well over a decade and know that whenever I walk into Duggal with one of my projects the results will be outstanding and comparable to no other. Hardy greets me with a knowledgeable, professional and friendly attitude and common courtesy that makes me want to return again. He sits down with me to discuss and understand what it is I need and then finds a way that Duggal can make it exceptional. His longstanding experience in the field allows him the fine-tuned ability to understand the individual/company and his/her/their needs. The highest quality and the outstanding professional look is what I can expect when I choose Duggal and in my field that is important. Everyone at Duggal is of exceptional caliber in their department and field and the results consistently prove that. The level of work that everyone achieves with each project and each print has gained my respect with each person involved from start to finish without exception. I appreciate that. I know what I can do and I know who to look for when I want it done right. read more

These guys are the best, I brought in two very fragile pastel portraits of my husband's great grandparents. They were poor Russian Jewish immigrants, and these portraits would have been a huge expense for them. Plus they're the only likenesses we have of them. The folks at Duggal took a personal interest in carefully handling them, consulting on the best way to digitally photograph them and then print them. I also learned a lot about photography during that period. They are experts. I just got the prints home and they're beautiful. They threw in a few extra copies so that we could choose the exposure we liked best. They also photographed the back of each portrait which has some writing in a foreign language. We now have both sides as digital photos on a CD that I can share with the extended family. I've worked with Duggal professionally before, and they're excellent. They're not inexpensive but when you have something meaningful and special that they can help with, they're the only place I would use. read more

I was referred through B &H Photos to Duggal Solutions and it was a perfect solution to my problems. From my initial phone call to "Z"(Zulema Morin) my problems of three months dissolved. She was warm,professional,helpful- and right on the money. She told me to come in and she would help me with my problem. She set me up with a computer-helped me view and select my visual images, printed a disc with the images I selected, and even helped me to email me to my graphic designer as well as myself. What an incredibly talented, top notch and incredible person- I was so lucky to find her...and she didn't even try to charge me a fortune like other places would. My photography friend had mentioned Duggal- which she had used thirty years ago! So Duggal has been around and outstanding for all these years- and Zulema informed me she has been in the business for over thirty years. If you want outstanding service and more than reasonable rates, head on down to Duggal for your photographic needs. "Z" the best! read more

We are absolutely delighted to write a review for Duggal and the amazing work they did for our Gotta Love Girls Gala. In our initial meeting before taking us on as a client, they really took time to understand what our needs were and what was important to our organization. We were working with incredible images that had to look perfect. Once we officially started working together, they really went out their way to make sure that we were getting exactly what we wanted at every step. They were so helpful: speaking to the venue on the best way to affix the large posters to the wall and even giving our girls a tutorial on social media for our event. In the end, we had some incredibly beautiful printed posters that were vibrant and crisp. Even our largest poster, which was mostly black, turned out absolutely perfect. Some staff members joined us at our gala! Such a wonderful experience with a beautiful result; we look forward to working with them in the near future. read more

I wanted to set a special tone for my Mom's 90th birthday celebration by having a unique, warm and personal postcard size invitation card done. I knew that I wanted to use two pictures of her representing her at the ages of 75 and 25. I didn't know what to do but I did know that Zee Morin at Duggal would know! I have worked with her over the years when she was at Modern Age. I took the photos and my very sketchy idea to her. She came up with a great design that was elegant, simple and portrayed my Mom the way I wanted. I couldn't have done it without her and in such a short turnaround time. The quality of the printing was fabulous! Zee provided the best creative advice and service. Most of all, my Mom was ecstatic when she finally saw the invitation. Those who received it on her guest list decided to keep it as a keepsake. That's the highest compliment! If you need anything done, go to Zee at Duggal! That's a winning team! read more

I needed a large banner (6x30 feet) done on some sort of environmentally reasonable fabric. It was an unusual job - not designed by an actual graphic designer but by two artists who are only reasonably competent with new technologies and software. Flashdrive in hand, we called Dugall and started a process with Jim Braden, who was brilliant in leading us through all that was needed as well as the substrates available (natural canvas is what we chose), inks, prep for installing, etc. He spend just the right amount of time, the right amount of hand holding, sent samples for approval while we were on vacation and met us at the shop Sunday morning so that we could pick it up for our installation that evening. He made sure that what we were getting was exactly what we wanted. Service like that is not a given anymore and we really appreciated the time he took and the effort to get it right. And btw, the banner looks great. read more

Ashma Vorha and I are on a first name, mobile phone basis. I not only have total confidence that she will do the perfect frame job from start to finish and that it will not only meet but exceed either mine or the ultimate client's expectations! She is extremely detail and service oriented communicating constantly with me and her fabrication team to make sure that each detail - down to even the last 1/8 of an inch - is properly taken care of. There is no frame request too large or too small and when she issues a deadline she delivers on that promise time and time again. The outstanding service doesn't stop there either, recently I utilized the printing services at Duggal and the photograph not only was stunning in person but ready in a timely manner that did not break the bank. For any and every fine art framing or printing need I do not hesitate to contact Duggal Visual Solutions and Ashma is on my speed dial! read more

In September 2014 after signing a contract with Rizzoli to publish a book of my early Bob Dylan photos, I needed a large number of high quality scans made from my old 35mm black and white negatives. I approached Duggal and gave them a batch of 30 negs so I could ascertain the quality of the work. I was so pleased with the results that I gave them the rest of the job (over 140 scans) 100 of which were published in our book "Bob Dylan NYC 1961-1964" Co-authored by Chris Murray of Govinda Gallery. I am particularly indebted to Duggal staff members Ashley Allen (who made the scans) and J.R. Martin and Hardy Rosenstein, whose assistance in tweaking, fine tuning, and sizing adjustments was invaluable. Thanks to them, my customer experience with Duggal deserves a five star rating!. I've been working with Duggal for several years, mostly making photo prints for clients. The largest I've made has been a 60" x 40" c-print, which was then mounted to their floating plexiglass mount, and then installed at the client's location. The biggest print run has been 82 copies of an 18" x 12" made for a school. Of course we all want our photo prints to look the best they can. But what makes Duggal such a pleasure to work with is that they make ME look great. For example, when prints are sent to clients, I know that they'll be thoughtfully and professionally packed and shipped. Or for prints that require installation, Duggal can provide that service. At Duggal I work with Brian Renaldo (photo attached) who honestly makes every job a pleasure. That may sound a bit gushy, but it's true. read more

I have known of and used Duggal over a 3 decade span. I am not a professional photographer but I want professional photography results. Always. Each time. I have not been to Duggal for a good number of years but knowing their reputation I chose to work only with them. Yes, I got what I wanted. But that is not the end of the story. I worked with JR and he could not have been more professional and helpful. Spent almost 2 hours with us to define our project. In the end we cut out 2 projects and finished with a smaller one. Did they 'lose' income? No. it was only delayed. My card will be credited back and after I re-shoot my subject i will go back only to them, more specifically, JR. I know what I will get and that saves time and money. You get what you pay for and more. choose Duggal. read more

Having used DUGGAL a number of times for 4X5 sheet film processing and higfh rez scanning, etc., I would certainly give them a five star rating. Located in New Haven, Ct and previously in Boston, I photograph products for advertising and heavily rely on a good pro lab to help me get the best possible photographic results to my clients. With the advent of digital photography, there are no longer pro labs in my area where I can drop off, pick up and discuss projects in person with a lab tech. If my lab screws up, I have to go to the client and face the music. Out of town "processing by proxy" can be risky but the folks at DUGGAL do professional work and communicate very well - the key to any successful business. Bravo and keep up the good work! I'm depending on you. read more

I am a long-time customer and I also scan many things on my own at home, so i have a feel for what is involved. For the more advanced jobs I do--old and sometimes poorly-kept negatives, sizes I don't have the ability to work on myself, etc-- I never hesitate to bring them in to Duggal. The Team there--in my case, Ashma, Ashley and Zee up front--offer sensational personal attention and always come in better than I expect, and always on-time. I most recently brought in a large, involved order for scans (over 250 originals), many of which are in rough shape, and the scans that Ashley created are lovely and really helped me to keep my work moving. It is comforting to know that my artwork gets a VIP treatment every time I bring it in! Thank you, Duggal!--Al P. read more

Despite our digital revolution I have no choice but to continue using film because I spend up to three weeks in remote isolation away from all things digital and from anything electronic to produce my photographs. I can't easily duplicate my work in a later year either. Duggal film processing yields flawless work, and for that reason I find well over ninety percent of my images usable. By paying upon placement of an order I get a ten percent discount. I wouldn't go elsewhere for this service. I especially look forward to seeing Hardy Rosenstein at Duggal. He always asks what took me so long to return to Duggal. One couldn't ask for a friendlier encounter in the photo world. I enthusiastically recommend Duggal --- and try to see Hardy when you go there. read more

I visited Duggal a few weeks ago at the advice of someone who sold me an old Nikon camera. I purchased the camera to take on a family vacation and didn't have any experience using manually focused cameras. The seller was a professional photographer who told me that he used Duggal for developing his photos and that I'd need their help if I was going to pursue my interest in photography. At Duggal I met with Jim Braden and he was a huge help to me. He showed me how to use the camera, gave me advice about what type of film and equipment to purchase and reviewed the development process with me. Thanks to his help I now have a ton of great photos from my trip. I'll definitely return to Jim and Duggal everytime I need photography services. read more

I cannot fully articulate how impressed I have been with Duggal's service, attention to detail and quality of their work, particularly Brian Renaldo, whom I have had the pleasure of working with on a few unique, and personally important projects. His level of communication, transparency and his overall demeanor are truly refreshing and something I am very appreciative of. I'm sure it's noted throughout the organization, but I would personally like to applaud Brian for going out of his way to make my experience working with Duggal effortless (including a "house call" to examine a piece that Duggal had done for me 6 years ago). I will be a customer for life simply because of his hard work and effort. Thank you again! read more
