The building is pretty unassuming from the outside as it is located in a quiet part of town, though there is plenty to stare at as soon as you walk in the front door - the walls are covered with interesting trinkets from ship wheels and pirates to a 5-ft tiki sculpture in the corner. The outdoor patio is even more decked-out - much larger than I was expecting and fully-equipped with private tables and unique decor, including a coy pond and life-size statue of the ol' Cap'n himself. The best part of our time here was spent interacting with Michael - the man behind the bar. He was very friendly, engaging, and had plenty of great stories to tell. We felt very welcome the entire time and will definitely be stopping in again the next time we're in Providence!

Both were outstanding - I could easily have tried a few more of the dessert cocktails, but alas we had a 40 minute drive home so that will have to wait for another visit. Myrtle, which I think is one of the coolest bars I've ever seen (it has its own in-house boutique!) was packed this morning. They served a $15 brunch which looked great but, since I had just eaten breakfast, I chose to forego and enjoyed a delicious Irish coffee ($12) instead. This might be my go-to bar from now on.
