Before I drove to this bar I called to ask what the age limit is. ? I was told that any age is allowed before 10pm. After 10pm, anybody under the age of 18 is not permitted to enter. And the person under the age of 21 has to pay a 20 dollar cover fee. Very rude personal. The man, Billy, he is the general Maneger. I brought my sister to eat and have a good time.Don't recommend. Place is not clean and menus are dirty. The issue initiated because he asked my sister for her ID. I told him she's 18. He said I was having an attitude and he didn't ask me. This place has loud music and I did speak louder than the music so he could hear me. I tried speaking to him again as he was speaking to his colleague and he was talking about me when I approached him to ask him his name and tried explaining that I didn't have an attitude he told me to leave. I decided to take my service else where before hand because I did not like his tone and attitude towards me. I will try a different location. Duets was a fun loving place where people could go to sing their hearts out. Unfortunately within this last month or so the owner has decided to enact a 21 plus rule for Fridays and Saturdays. That's really funny because my sister (20F) and I were there last week on a Saturday enjoying our time singing our hearts out. No liquor involved. My family has supported duets for our time in El Paso but unfortunately we cannot recommend anyone go who has friends that are under 21. Since we were the only people in the bar at 7pm I would assume that regardless of the rule, they'd at least want our business. read more

I have been going here for 5 years. Not once have I ever been turned away until today. Apparently you can't go here if you're UNDER 21. Although everyone I've been to this bar with was under 21 at some point, myself included. We were the only three people in the bar at 6:30 pm. Sat down for five minutes and were told we had to leave because one of us is under 21. Never in my life has a manager been rude to me or petty but this guy was. He rolled his eyes and said "yeah you can't be here". Very rude and unprofessional. Five years of money poorly spent. Very upsetting. read more

Basically we've been going here for around 3 years. Never once had a problem till tonight when the manager arrived. we got greeted and sat down everything was fine until they asked for our ids. The lady then stated since i was under the age of 21 i was no longer allowed into their bar cause of their new rules. I asked when that was a thing and they said over a month ago when i literally went there last weekend on the same day. So she went to grab the manager and he kicked me out because i wanted to ask a few more questions? Dude didn't even want to talk and just straight up made us leave before i could even ask anything like i was promised to do so. We had such a great time here! Driving up to duets can throw you off a bit but no worries, it's there! We ended up parking at the liquor store but there are plenty of spots along the front. Right as you walk in there are two pool tables and the bar is right next to them. There is plenty of seating at the bar. You go up about two steps and this is where the rest of the tables are set up and where the karaoke stage is. There is a Mexican food truck that caters and serves their food here! We ordered two orders of the steak tacos (5 tacos per plate) with everything on top. They are topped with mozzarella cheese, cilantro, onion, and a green salsa. The tacos were DELCIOUS!! The salsa is very spicy so ask for it on the side if you don't do spicy! My husband had a few beers (Stella Artois) and they run about $6 each. There was only one bartender manning the bar so there was a wait on drinks. There are plenty of board games to entertain yourself or just sit and watch people sing their hearts out! This is a dope spot. Found this place randomly looking for some late night grub that wasn't fast food. Place looks like a good fun group activity to have some beer and Liston to people live out their dreams. The more you drink the better they sound (not really). There's some excellent talent here and I appreciate the wide variety of cocktails available with decent prices. Waitstaff is friendly and their equipment is pretty legit. Been here three times. Place gets busy so if you want to sing karaoke be prepared to wait a long time unless you're a regular and they push your name up the list frequently. Wait staff is friendly but it's taken me more time than I'd prefer to wait to get service at places with a similar crowd. I don't like that all the speakers are in front of the singer pointing out towards the crowd. It makes it difficult to hear yourself sing and know weather to raise or lower your voice. Great new discovery for me. Excellent karaoke DJ with diverse selection of songs. Very cool old school mic (like the kind in a recording studio). Bartenders were polite and responsive. Crowd on an early Saturday night catered more to the older scene but there was a smattering of younger folks (at 33 I'm not sure how much longer I can consider myself 'younger'). Seating near the stage is more set up for larger groups than solos but there are some smaller tables and stools to be had. When you first walk in you have a pool table in front of you with music in tables farther back. Drinks were solid and reasonably priced. I will def be back. read more

I dont know of a polite way to describe my dislike for this place... I've been here twice expecting it to be "ok" but I was wrong. The crowd here is generally older; a lot older. They have karaoke going on most nights. Plenty of beer on tap. Mixed drinks galore. Pool tables are in an awkward spot as soon as you walk in the door. Can't play if people are sitting at the bar. Most of the tables are always reserved so there's never a place to sit. I'd rather go elsewhere. read more

I've been going here for three years and this is the last time I'd ever go. New karaoke DJs have NO sense of organization. Got there around 9pm, sang one song and waited for 3 hours for my next song. I love this bar. Its the ONLY fully dedicated karaoke bar in el paso. They dedicated the speaker system and sound quality to optimize the experience and it shows. Everyone from novices to pros sing here and all are welcome from what I've seen. All the food is good and even though i dont drink i know the prices are good and they look good. Went there with my friend and at first it was kind of slow, but that was because we went after work. After a little while of getting to know Hugo and Jesse and the rest of the guys that work there we notice it was getting crowded. The karaoke was great...El Paso has some great unknown talent. I had passed this place a few times on my way way to work and decided to stop by at lunch once. and now...you cant get me to leave lol .. I loved it there. Its a local favorite of mine now.
