This is a small scale distillery, but with that small scale comes attention to detail, a great service, and an amazing product. We were so pleased with our tasting and ended up purchasing a bottle of their single barrel. We followed it up with well-made cocktails from the bar. The owner was there and sat at the table to chat with us and even stayed late after closing. To top it off, this distillery is a Harvest Host member so they let us camp in their parking lot!! All in all a wonderful experience.

The food was excellent.. tour and sampling were great. Small distillery with a great story and staff.

On our way from Louisville, KY to Nashville, TN; we had to stop at Dueling Grounds Distillery. Almost perfect reviews and score on Yelp? And the best Kentucky Margarita made with clear Bourbon? Challenge!! Well, the reviews are correct. This place is great! We didn't do a tour, but we tried some of their signature drinks. The Kentucky Margarita was delicious, just as described. The Maple Old Fashioned and Apple Pie Old Fashioned were tasty as well. The place was quiet as we stopped at noon on a Wednesday. Inside is clean and large enough to sit about 30 people. The bartender was friendly, and he made some good drinks. I definitely would recommend this gem just off Highway 65.

First time here and it was a home run! The best Kentucky margarita and old fashion we've ever had. And their flat bread pizza was delicious. Great service and hospitality overall. Truly a gem and well Definitely come back.

I love me a small town small batch distillery. Robbie, our host was fabulous explaining the bourbons and other craft spirits. We did the tasting of four flavors including the two aged bourbons , the clear bourbon and the Apple pie. The 120 proof is as smooth as it gets for a high proof. We also had the margarita cocktail made with the clear. So much better and smooth than with tequila. I had the Maple Old Fashioned. I could of had 4-5-6-7 drinks. They are also part of the Harvest Host RV club and the Craft Bourbon Tour. Got our first stamp on our Kentucky Bourbon Trail Passport.

We loved it all! Seriously the kindest staff (only 5 employees!) run this distillery and tap room. We had a Friday off and couldn't get tickets to Dickel so we headed north and we are so glad we did! We had an amazing time in this craft distillery chatting with the brand manager and front of house staff running the tour and tap room. They offer a great tasting menu, pizzas and cocktails as well as local beers and wine if that's not your thing. My fiancé and I both bought bottles to bring home and he's still talking about that Irish coffee he had as I loved the Madhattan I opted for as well. We'll be sipping on our bourbons and relishing the impromptu memories made from this adventure for years!

We took a tour of the distillery and enjoyed a tasting afterwards. The tour was educational and historical. Absolutely so much fun. Very kid friendly (teens in our group enjoyed the tour and ibc root beer afterwards). Lots of fun cocktails to try and tasty bourbon. We visited on Friday afternoon so we also enjoyed the homemade pizzas (recommend the hot honey pizza and the William white). I'm not much of a bourbon drinker so the cocktails were my speed. I loved the Kentucky margarita and the gin and juice. We were staying in the mammoth cave area so the drive took about an hour. Well worth it!

Great pizza (William White - wow!). Delicious bourbons (did a distillery flight and the limited edition tasting). Amazing cocktails (maple old fashioned, prohibition old fashioned and sunny sour)... all awesome! And the people. From Mark, the owner, to the bartenders - fantastic people willing to connect with travelers. Super cool place to check out right off I-65.

So I'm a local that stopped by after many years just to check it out and have an Old Fashioned. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They urged me to come back on Friday for Pizza which I did. Best Pizza in Franklin!!!!! Thin cracker style crust with nice crisp edges. My kids and I absolutely love it! We normally get the "Hot Shot" but we also like the "Sam Houston." Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

Tastings...yum

Very fun tour and bourbon tasting! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, cosy bar and tasting area, definitely recommend!

The inside appears to have been recently updated and renovated. On one side is the restaurant, the other is a tasting room, and the distilling in the in middle. We came in for lunch. Started out with old fashions which were spot in, ended up having two. For lunch it was the standard American fare. We had some lighter options like salads and shared plates. The food overall was good, but not extraordinary. Service could have been a little more attentive however. After lunch, we headed to the tasting room. The standard tasting was $16 which seemed to be quite reasonable. Some of the tastings are 90-100 proof, so be ready for that. Also picked up some T-shirts. We would have picked up a bottle, but because of TSA you would have to put it in a checked bag. We did end up picking up a bottle at the Nashville airport after security, but the cost is about 30% more. They indicated that you can order online and have it shipped. Looks like they do tours, but we did not have the time on this day. Definitely a stop if you are a whiskey drinker and in the Clarksville area.

Wow! What a great experience!…read more Everything, from the minute I walked in the door until the time I left was just so perfect. I did the distillery tour and tasting. I have completed several distillery tours, and Casey Jones was, without a doubt, my favorite! My tour guide, Courtney, was the BEST!! Honestly, I don't recall a time I've had a better tour guide. She was very knowledgeable, but, more importantly, she connected with everyone on the tour and made us feel welcome. By the end of the tour I felt like we were long lost friends. She made the tour so much fun! During the tour we tasted 4 different products, including a bourbon straight from the barrel. For me, that was worth the cost of the tour. Then, following the tour, we were able to taste nearly every spirit Casey Jones produces. I think in total I sampled 15 spirits. It was great! I purchased one bottle, as I was on a budget, but I could have bought several more. They take pride in what they make, and it shows. The only product I tried that I really didn't like was the cinnamon whiskey. I thought it was too sweet. However, I tried it mixed with a cocktail mixer and it was quite good. They just have so many exceptional products. Hopkinsville is only about 2 hours from home, so I have a good feeling I'll be visiting again. I can't say enough good things about this distillery. The grounds are beautiful. The staff - OUTSTANDING!! The whiskey and moonshine is so very good! If you are looking for a craft distillery that delivers it all, then I highly recommend Casey Jones. Ask for Courtney if you're doing the tour. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Once he arrived, we headed inside. We were greeted outside the doors though, which was a warm welcome that you don't often see anymore. Nice touch! We entered the gift shop area and were directed where to check in for a tour. Troy was exceptionally helpful in explaining what the tour would entail, and he provided each of us with a small bag with a keepsake shot glass and other pamphlets. Once the tour started, I was pleased to see that Troy would be a tour guide. Troy began by escorting us into the social room that is available to large groups and gave us some great insight into the history of the property, and how the back landscaped area came into being. I was very impressed at how clean the facility was, and how immaculate the outside back area appeared. Looks like a great place to sit and sip bourbon! Troy then took us over to the old manufacturing area that houses the original still built by AJ, the Master Distiller. Troy gave us the history behind Alfred Jones, and how the 'Casey' moniker came into being. He described in detail how Casey had perfected his moonshine recipe, but was eventually caught and sent to a minimum-security prison twice for his bootlegging efforts. Troy imparted to us how the family worked to become legal, and how the distilling of bourbon came to fruition. We also had a the opportunity to sample some newly distilled bourbon that was colorless (White Lightning!). It packed a punch and was not a beverage you'd want to sip on regularly! We then visited the recently constructed production building, thanks to a $2 million capital investment that has allowed this fine distillery to grow. Troy told us about differing recipes, and how the four key grains (corn, barley, rye, and wheat) enter into the equation to produce varying spirits. WE had the opportunity to go up on the catwalk to see the enormous vats, and the actual copper cookers that were adjacent to those tanks. I asked where the cookers were manufactured, but Troy was not aware. Not a huge deal, but might be something to have on hand in the future (made in the good ol' USA!). We concluded the tour by returning to the main building from where the tour started, and had the opportunity to try a small taste of bourbon aged in amburana-wood barrels. Absolutely delicious, and my friend's favorite! WE finished the tour by having a small sampling of the distilleries offerings, to include bourbon, moonshine, and and (the name escapes me, forgive me) a spirit to make margaritas! We found the entire experience to be well-worth the drive (I came from Clarksville, and my friend from White House) and would whole-heartedly recommend! My friend and I have done the tours at MB Roland and Old Glory, but our favorite remains Casey Jones'. I will bring my son and his wife out next time they visit from Wisconsin! Thank you to AJ, Peg, Troy, and the entire crew at CJ. :)

We booked our trip with BOF when things seemed to be getting a little better despite the pandemic…read more As seasoned distillery tourists, my friend and I were excited to check out some places in TN while we were in town, but didn't want to have to worry about driving ourselves or ride sharing due to distance between places. When I found BOF I knew we'd be in good hands. We booked the 3 distilleries + winery option (best bang for our buck and best way to see multiple places). But as our trip drew closer, the restrictions on bars and places began to return. About a week prior to our visit, BOF alerted us that we either would have to do just 1 distillery and the winery or we could get a refund completely. Since this experience was part of the whole reason we chose Nashville, we decided to back down to just the 1 distillery option. The company was great about keeping in contact with us up until the day. We met the bus at the designated pick up location, got inside, introduced ourselves and then the door closed and the wheels started moving. We were shocked that they kept our reservation - we were in a party bus and it was just the two of us! We were told we could bring roadies (we opted for coffee because we're old and needed the mid-day pick-me-up) and the bus was stocked with water and snacks. Off we went to our distillery - Corsair. It was a very cool brick building, and our guide (I wish I could remember her name, so sorry) got us checked in. Since we were about 30 minutes early, we had time to explore the rest of the building/shops which was a bonus. After the fantastic tour and tasting, we re-boarded and began our drive to Arrington Winery. Although any $ spent at Arrington is not included in the cost of BOF, it was totally worth it to have them take us there. It is a bit of a hike and I wouldn't feel comfortable driving myself back to downtown after a visit there. We had about 1.5 hours at Arrington which was perfect for some tastings, a glass of frose and some snacks. Our driver was safe, and super nice. Since it was just the two of us, we asked if she could drop us off direct at our hotel (about 2 miles away from the determined location) and she did, which saved us an additional UBER ride, so thank you! I look forward to whenever everything opens back up and we can book another tour with them again to try out some new places!

Also, I left my Quay sunglasses on the bus...they were kind enough to send them to MA for me :)
