I've been wanting to visit this distillery and finally had the chance today! It was great to see that some visitors from Texas and from Michigan had also stopped by this distillery at the same time. Such a cool crew! The staff were all very friendly and walked me through the different options to sample. I tried a couple things outside my normal tastes and was so delighted I even bought a bottle of one of the suggestions. I was pleasantly surprised with the selection of spirits they produce in-house, outside of their solid bourbon. There are several fruit liquors made from local berries, and an apple pie liquor made with a nearby orchard's cider (be still my beating heart, I fell in love with it). They have one of the best gin craftsmen in the region, so if you're a fan you should really try it! The atmosphere was comfortable and Kentucky-chic, the bar was well stocked outside their in-house offerings, and their prices very reasonable. Super pumped to support this crew and will be including this spot in my "out of town visitor" tour. read more

Very small looking but huge in personality and charm. The small staff were very friendly and welcoming, they made my family feel like theirs. The product they make is excellent and the tour is not only informative but felt like an exciting history lesson. This little jewel is well worth enjoying even if you don't drink bourbon. read more

Wonderful and friendly people and AMAZING drinks. We arranged, through Harvest Hosts, to stay overnight in their parking lot in our van. We were welcomed by Robbie into their cozy space. We sat at the bar and chatted with Robbie and later Santos for a bit. As someone who knows little to nothing about distilled liquor, I learned quite a bit. I especially enjoyed hearing the genesis of the name "Dueling Grounds". We slept comfortably and peacefully in their lot. We'd definitely make a return trip. Hopefully on a Friday or Saturday when there's homemade pizza. I highly recommend this spot. read more

Dueling Grounds was on a list of distilleries we planned to visit on a Bourbon Trail trip. We had high hopes for Dueling Grounds to provide a good experience and they absolutely delivered. They have a great historical component to the business and our tour guide Dylan went out of his way to make sure we felt welcome and answered every question we could think up. They have a very cool hybrid still as well. We weren't able to try every product (several different fruit liquors sounded good) but everything we did try was quality, even the signature cocktails. Their small batch bourbon was good but the single barrel bourbon was fantastic and should not be missed...everyone in my group bought their own bottle to take home. read more

Small batch distillers which took a hot minute to find. When we pulled up we thought twice because as a small batch distiller it's considerably smaller than expected. Got a tasting and a tour. The guide was great, knowledgeable and friendly and delivered great customer service. The products are amazing. I'm from "the city" and have paid more for things like gin and bourbon and this distillery makes them better than the national brands, and for cheaper. For example, I got a $50 bottle of gin and their bottle was a little over half that and tasted way better! Same goes for the bourbon! They do a great job and I loved the experience here. read more

Had the tour yesterday and Santos was our guide and he was great He was very knowledgeable and even though I had been through many tours I learned a lot more about bourbon.He also makes delicious cocktails! Their fruit liqueurs are fantastic and non-aged bourbon has me excited for their first barrel dump. We had a great time and would highly recommend it. read more

Visiting the area and wanted to locate some smaller distilleries. Found Dueling Grounds in Franklin and stopped in to check things out. Glad we did! We were greeted graciously as they shared their new production and facility, as well as their passion and vision for a bourbon bar in the area. We tasted several of their products, bought the "Apple Pie" (their clear blended with local apple cider...yum!), and was so disappointed after tasting their liqueurs that they weren't available for purchase yet... these were beyond yum!!! My favorite was the peach! If you get to the area, stop in and visit these fine people and support their new venture! read more

Stopped on our way from Nashville to Bowling Green. Nice small batch distillery making bourbon and a few other liquors. Took the tour which lasted about 45 mins and finished with a tasting. Friendly staff and good cocktails. read more

We loved & found the history they provided on the tour so interesting. Also found it pretty cool that some of the samples you can choose at the end of your tour are mini cocktails. They are also taking good precautions during this time that don't take away from the experience. read more

Can't beat it for the price and the tasting $6 per person with 6 tastes. It's a small batch place but set up for a nice experience. I'd recommend it to contrast with a larger production place like Makers or Jack Daniels. Nice fruit liquors. read more

Dueling grounds is a great place to learn more about bourbon. They have amazing staff and the cocktails are amazing! Would definitely recommend if you enjoy a good time. The tour we attended was incredible! From the beginning which included the history of Linkumpinch farm, the historical figures and facts that led to many Kentucky oaths of office still applicable today, to the selection of the name by Marc, the history of Dueling Grounds Distillery namesake is fascinating. During the tour, we were educated on the finely tuned processes required to create such a fine bourbon. Santos consistently made eye contact with all on the tour, explained each process and any associated questions in detail. At the end of the tour, the tasting was presented in such a manner that the preceding sample did not overpower the next one. I'll admit to being a Bourbon man and purchased the same, though the Apple Pie and Strawberry liqueurs left me at a loss to determine a favorite in that category. Kudos to Mark, Santos, and the entire Staff of Dueling Grounds Staff Distillery for creating such a fine product in such a short time. May your business thrive. Though my name does not appear on the original barrel, I look forward to my return in late 2020 to pick up the earliest available batch of four year Bourbon. PS: Champion the Pear Santos! One of the best distillery tours we have experienced. I think, due to its small size, it feels more intimate than the other larger distilleries, as well as one of the most interesting stories for a distillery. Our guide was great and very informative. We arrived early and had a great drink from the bar, very impressive bourbon collection to choose from! It was chilly outside but they have a great outdoor space that we cannot wait to go back and enjoy! I was also impressed by the unique, local items they had in their gift shop. read more
