Being woken up by police to be evacuated from our rv due to a police incident in the trailer behind us

Honestly this is the worst experience I've ever had at a campground. The staff was rude, unprofessional, unorganized, and fairly useless in their roles. The sites that they advertise on their website are only for short term stays, and if you stay for more than a week or two they put you in a spot so small that we could not put out our awning. The neighbors sewer hookup is in front of your door less than 3 feet from the end of your steps. They sprayed for bugs with a truck at 930 at night while everyone was sitting around their fires. In the three weeks we stayed here we were also evacuated from our camper due to a police incident in the middle of the night. There is also very little cell service at the campground , the paid wifi they offer is marginal at best as well. On the weekends the drunks from the seasonal side ride their golf carts around and almost hit my truck several times. They advertise a dog run , which is just a golf cart path that runs along the driveway, there is no off leash area. Also we found out that the three long term campers that were staying at this park were all paying different amounts as well for the same site. Campers beware of this place

Here's the deal... I usually don't like to write reviews about campgrounds I enjoy, because I don't…read morewant them to become too popular (got to keep a few secrets to myself!) That being said, we really love this campground, and I wanted to give them a well-deserved shout-out. We first visited in early November and liked it so much that we went back two weeks later. I was honestly surprised by some reviews claiming the owners are money-hungry or rip people off, because that was the complete opposite of our experience. We were originally supposed to stay there in October, but we had an accident that damaged our truck on the day of arrival. I called the resort to cancel and even told them I'd understand if they still needed to charge me due to the short notice. Instead, they gave us a credit for our next stay, which was wonderful and much appreciated. If you're looking for a campground loaded with frills, this isn't it. What you do get are beautiful sites, including the pull-throughs we stayed in that offer direct views of the Chesapeake Bay and some amazing sunsets. Sites include electric and water but no sewer; however, they provide septic carts and several dump stations, similar to many state parks. They also have fire rings and picnic tables, which should be standard everywhere in my opinion. Other than that, it's simply a quiet, relaxed, and scenic campground. My only wish is that WiFi were free, since it is at many other campgrounds. We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The camp store has a solid selection of necessities, and the prices were not unreasonable. Given its proximity to Rock Hall (which is an amazing little town), Chestertown, and the Bay, this is definitely going to be one of our regular camping spots. We're already planning several trips for next year.

This is a really great spot!…read more The staff is very friendly. Easy check in. The view can't be beat. This would be a 5 star review for sure if the WiFi coverage was better, if there was sewer at the sites, if the bathrooms were open. They made it clear that these things were not included, so it was not a surprise and they do have portable restrooms around. One more portable in the middle of the B-site area would be good. Overall this place is great and we will be returning. Already booked as a matter of fact :)

She asked if we needed a 30A adapter. We said no, because we were just tenting it and their power center has 110V and that is all we need. Had to go back later to get said adapter because none of the 110V outlets work. So she got short with us because now we needed it. Apparently once these outlets quit working they don't fix them. Too expensive. Later we find that the 30A outlet doesn't work either. So, we used the neighboring site outlet. Bath house was clean albeit rather dated looking. There was about 2 feet of green mold on the outside. These people are crazy with dozens of rules and signs everywhere. A bit over the top. Speed limit signs are in 1/2 mph increments. Still trying to figure that one out. We probably won't be back.

Thomas Point Park in Annapolis is a county park that offers beautiful views of the Thomas Point Lighthouse, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and the bay in general. There is a pavilion that can be rented and a day camping area but I believe what makes this park so popular in the summer months is that its a good fishing spot. As the name implies, the park is on a point of land that jets out into the bay offering great views of the water year round. From November through March visitors can drive into the park without paying a fee. But if you are wanting to drive into the park April though October then you need to obtain a permit and I think they can be a bit tricky to come by. Permits are sold at Quiet Waters Park and sold on a limited first come, first served basis. A limited number of daily permits are sold each morning and a total of 75 monthly permits are sold each month on the last Thursday of the prior month. So yeah, a little tricky but its understandable that admission to this small park, which is accessible through a residential neighborhood, needs to be limited.

The camp ground provides a few different options for your camping needs. Whether you're in the mood for the full camping experience with no electricity or if you would prefer an electrical site to plug in all your goods. The sites offer a decent amount of space for you to spread out with all of your gear. Each site has a fire pit to do some grilling and roast marshmallows and a table with benches, to hang out and enjoy your meals. A bath house with showers are also in each loop, and they're actually pretty well kept, aside from the bugs running around, which is expected. You'll occasionally see the park rangers riding around throughout the day to keep an eye on things, and they're all really friendly. If you're looking to get outside and rough it for a few days or take a much needed break from the stress of the world at trip to Elk Neck for a beautiful camping trip is the way to do it.

They burn and itch very badly. I truly hope this was a hiccup for them and they go through correct methods of having the cabin treated properly. UPDATE: A recount of the bites - my husband has 31 bites so far. The remediation of all of our items is exhausting. All the blankets, clothing, suit cases, all the other items we used in the cabin needs to be cleaned. We had to throw out our shoes because they shrunk in the dryer. Spent $$$ replacing shoes for a family for 4. Pillows are not cheap to replace either. I bought a new corset at the renfest this weekend that I'm hoping doesn't get ruined when it goes through the dryer. That too was expensive. So if you're looking to have to spend a bunch of extra money to replace items you didn't want to replace in the first place - I recommend staying here.
