This is our second time staying here at Cherry Hill. We could not be happier with this establishment. We stayed through the 4th of July and everybody was excited for the 250th Birthday. We had a wonderful stay at Cherry Hill Park! The campground was very clean, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the camp store was great. Our kids had a blast doing the gem mining, which was a fun bonus after a day of sightseeing. The location is hard to beat if you're visiting Washington, DC. It made getting into the city each day easy and convenient. We didn't get to enjoy many of the campground's amenities because we spent most of our time exploring DC, but based on everything we experienced, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I live very near here and when I go on my walks I sometimes venture in here as the trail leads this way. I just happened to walk into the grounds a week or two ago and finally got a good look at them. I have been through here many times while on the Metro Bus and only get a glimpse. It is well used and not just in the warm months. There are always people here throughout the year. As expected, during the warmer months this place is packed. With the amount of things on property to do during those months, I can see why. There is minigolf, playgrounds, spray playground, and tons of walking trails. I also see the horse crossing signs along the road and trails through the area, so be aware of that. The only downside to this place, and it is of no fault to the owners, is the amount of traffic that passes by and may cause a bit of a hectic situation when it comes to entering and exiting. They have widened the road in front of the entrance to allow for a turning lane and an entrance lane to the road, but a lot of the people traveling the road seem to not understand that. I don't see the road widening any further until the brides that cross over I-495 are replaced and widened themselves. read more

The park is clean and the staff is friendly. It has all the attractions, pools and pond. The park is really close to the freeway and very loud. It is really a park for tourists and families with kids. They have a rental ballroom which had non-campers racing through the park. The little train/tactor ride around the park stopped in front of our site beeping the train horn with people yelling as we were trying to cook. I don't need to be on someone elses vaction. They also allow golf carts with sound and light systems to race around the park blasting music and yelling. It was a different RV experience than we expected. Not a real RV or camping spot, but probably great for families on summer break. read more

We love Cherry Hill Park! It's been a few years since we got to stay here for a few weeks in one of their premium sites, but after driving cross country a few times and staying at various RV Resorts, we must share Cherry Hill is still among one of our favorite resorts. The sites and entire resort is clean, well appointed, full of great amenities and just a wonderful home away from home. After busy days exploring the DC area, it was always nice to return to the peace, safety and comforts of Cherry Hill where the well stocked general store had all the supplies, food, drinks, souvenirs and RV glamping needs you could want or need, the mini golf beckoned and everyone is happy to be at this pristine camp with great friendly team members and visitors alike close to Washington DC, Georgetown and all you can enjoy in our nation's capital. Really wish this place wasn't 1200 miles from us! Every single part of our experience here was perfect. The grounds are beautiful. Staff is constantly working to clean or maintain. There are two huge pools, a splash pad, a playground, and more. The tractor ride at sunset was something the kids looked forward to every evening. They also do a movie outside near the pools in the evening. They have food delivery to you at the pool or to your camper. If I had to have a negative, yes, you can hear traffic noise. But all the other positives strongly outweigh this one. Greenbelt metro is a quick drive from the campground and a straight shot on the green line to all the sites in DC. read more

Ok if you have an RV read on. If you don't have an RV, well you should still read on. Tent camping is available at Cherry Hills. There are also cabins to be rented. So if you don't have an RV come on down. If you have an RV come on down! 1. The Cafe serves good food and delivers to your campsite. 2. The Dog Park is amazing 3. The pool is beautiful. 4. The sites are easily driven into. The people are amazing and there are several playgrounds for kids. It is truly a great RV park. Our toddler was dying to go camping, and we live in downtown DC, so I looked for the easiest, closest, best-reviewed place we could pitch a tent and make a campfire. Cherry Hill Park was well-reviewed and close, so we booked a premium tent site (which comes with hammock, fire ring, Adirondack chairs, picnic table, gazebo, string lights). First, remember that this is not camping to get close to nature, or experience solitude (at night you will notice the sound of the nearby highway (not in a terrible, keep-you-up-at-night way, just low white noise). This is mostly a campground for folks traveling around the country who want a place to park their RV while visiting the sights of the DC metro area (with frequent on-site shuttles to DC and to the Metro system). That said, CHP was perfect for our purposes. Very well-organized, VERY clean facilities (bathrooms were spotless), loads of things for kids to do: evening movies, game room, splash park, 2 pools, tractor rides, corn hole, mini-golf, you name it. Also, although we brought most of our food the prices of food at their cafe were very, very reasonable (like kid's breakfast with eggs and bacon for $4.99). Free refills on drinks. The cherry on top, so to speak, was the universally friendly and accommodating staff. Every single person we interacted with was friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was good. Walked into the office, people at the desk immediately say hello. When we checked out slightly early, the teenager at the front desk was quick to ask "oh, I hope nothing was wrong with your stay." Can recommend CHP highly to anyone looking for a good place to park/camp while visiting DC, or for a very easy basic car camping experience with kids. read more

By far this was my #1 place we stayed on our 26 day travels. We stayed 3 nights and it was lovely. All the bathrooms, laundry room, and RV site were meticulously maintained. There are employees everywhere doing gardening, cleaning and emptying trash cans. The 2 pools had daily lifeguards. There is a bus that comes into the park for travel to the monuments however, we just drove our vehicle to all the sites. If you plan of driving yourself I recommend taking side streets an staying off the freeways/HWY's. This RV park is closer to the monuments by surface streets and they seem. I definitely recommend staying here-I felt very safe. read more

We are on a cross country, RV trip and long story short landed in the DC area in the winter. This RV park has been amazing. I only wish we were here in the summer to enjoy all of the activities. The staff is super friendly the sites are spacious and clean and there are lots of amenities. We were able to take advantage of playing pickle ball, which was really fun. They came home also have an arrangement with a dog walker so we took advantage of that as well which helped us to extend our DC site seeing days. I cannot emphasize enough how friendly the staff is. This is an awesome campground in close proximity to Washington DC. It's huge, but sites aren't cramped. Staff is super friendly/helpful. They have their own busses & staff for tours of the city. Leave from and return to the campground - very convenient. They offer discounts for multiple tours. Two pools, clean laundry areas. Dog walking services. While the park is lovely and well-maintained, there are too many kids unsupervised by any parent whizzing around at top speed on bikes and in toy electric cars. I was shocked to see a 2 year old riding around in the street in a toy electric car which could fit under the carriage of a truck as big rigs, travel trailers and trucks whizzed by. She could have been hurt or killed. No trailer park should allow kids this young on electric toys, especially unsupervised without at least one parent or a sibling over 16. I would go so far as to say that no toy electric scooters or cars should be allowed in any RV park for kids. There were 3-year olds in diapers riding on their bikes so fast that one crashed into a cement pole and was hurt, no parents around, going at top speed, around and around our block, three or four at a time. Very dangerous for anyone walking around, for dogs, and this was occurring at dusk. The kids may have been having a great time, but this is not a park for adults without kids - too dangerous, especially if you're over 50 or so. read more

We loved this place! Easy and quick from the city and from the suburbs. We did a premium camp site and it was worth every penny. You get a covered gazebo with chairs and a table. There is also an electric outlet. There is also a shaded hammock area next to fire pit and chairs. There is also a grill and you can park your car right next to the area. It is all so convenient. The bathroom was a 2 minute walk and it was SO clean. We liked all the amenities and had so much fun. The pool and splashpad was great. Minigolf was super fun. They even have tractor rides at night! We can't wait to come back. There is quiet time starting at 10pm every night. read more

Every evening, an information session is offered on how to go from CHP to DC without driving. Metro bus and rail is very easy to use. We had a great first RV experience here. Friendly staff, well cared for grounds. A fair amount of highway noise but that's what happens with highways. Everything was easy and we had some nice walks, wish we could have stayed longer. The RVs are very close to one another but it was fine. One group had a very bright spotlight hanging from a tree but it was only for one night of our stay. New to this, it felt obnoxious but thankfully they left after our first night. read more

We stayed in the Martha Washington cottage for 4 nights. Family of 6. House was very clean and well stocked. Plenty of towels for everyone. Kitchen had everything we needed. Check in was quick and easy. The lovely lady at the bus pickup location was so pleasant and gave us lots of helpful information. This RV Park gets 5 stars on all accounts. But its greatest asset is the staff. Everyone that works here is very friendly and helpful. Their customer service is excellent, but I believe each of them truly loves working at this park. The park has good access to transit to get into the Capital and other sites in DC. The park has numerous that keep you busy without having to leave. There are beautiful trails and parks to explore. The overall appearance is breathtaking. The guests at the park were very diverse, all ages, backgrounds and races, which made us feel very comfortable. DO'S & DONT'S: DO follow the staff's instructions when using the Metro bus line and train into DC. Especially the instructions for the return trip! DO NOT listen to the instructions of the Metro staff when trying to return to the park. We did not pay much attention to the RV park staff's instructions and asked several of the Metro employees how to get back to the RV park. They sent us on a wild goose chase back and forth on the trains and buses for two hours. When we got back and asked the RV staff, their instructions were clear and easy to follow. read more

Booked a site here as the conclusion to a long trip and was excited after reading all the reviews and couldn't be more disappointed. Paid $120-ouch--but it's supposed to be a great place, right? Not for me. Deafening highway noise, noisy neighbors partying and screaming. playing music, the other playing a loud TV (probably to be heard over the highway) all still going after midnight. Quiet hours not enforced, late visitors not enforced. Not super clean, either. Our patio was covered in bird poop and so was our picnic table and chairs on our "premium patio." I feel ripped off. I'd have been far better off at a state park. Quieter and cheaper, that's for sure. Don't believe the hype. read more

We have just left Cherry Hill Park after a full month of camping with our two grandsons. We had an absolutely fabulous time, made wonderful memories and are so sorry to have to leave. We have camped at well over 100 campground across the USA and your campground, Cherry Hill, is by far the nicest and best place we have ever stayed. From the super clean campground, lovely sites (we even had a site with trees for shade!), great amenities such as the splash pad, the beautiful double pools with landscaping to match, the cafe and general store, laundry facilities, well-cared for playgrounds with creative, safe and fun things to do for our boys, mini-golf, fishing, jogging path and water features everywhere - we could not be more satisfied. While the noise from the highways is annoying, after a while, it was just background noise and didn't interfere with our fun. Even with some restrictions due to precautions for Covid, all were reasonable and smart and none hampered our time at Cherry Hill. The boys loved exploring the campground and had plentiful opportunities for them to dig in the dirt, climb and run and was just the experience we wanted for them. They loved it! We can't wait to come back with them. The staff was always friendly, knowledgeable and agreeable. In particular, Beatrice who helped me make our initial reservation despite not having exact dates, was super accommodating in making changes when we needed to. Beatrice was a gem and so easy and pleasant to deal with. She knows her stuff and is a credit to the business. I was equally impressed with their organization and communication, they really have their administrative process running smoothly. While you might have some of these at some places, you don't find all of them anywhere. Until Cherry Hill Park. It is obvious this is a family run business that prides itself on doing things right and in the right way. The extra care and attention to detail make all the difference. Spent July 2-6 at this lovely campground in the middle of college park. Minutes away from Our Nations Capital. There was plenty to do inside the campground really no need to go anywhere but if you did there's plenty to do. All amenities are open with social distancing in play. All hook ups are easy and simple to use. There is two pools and a splash pad for little kids. Cafe at the pool, is alright. Most foods are baked not fried. Check in and check out was super simple with no contact needed. read more

Oh my gosh, ohhh my gosh!!! I don't even know where to start, I LOVED this place so much. The premium site was amazing and beautiful, the staff were great and friendly, the dog park and obstacles for them were so awesome, the store was nice and had camping items too, the amenities offered were outstanding, the cafe was great for not having to cook dinner, the night bus tour was worth it! I really really enjoyed this place for a week. It has got to be the best RV resort I've ever been to. I absolutely will be coming back and recommending this place to others! Cherry Hill RV Resort My wife and I are still slowly working our way up the coast to see as many lighthouses as possible. I had no idea there are so many surrounding the Baltimore Harbor, so we decided to come inland to view them. I checked out all the reviews of the RV parks within an 1-2 hours from a campsite. We decided on Cherry Hill. The park is absolutely beautiful and don't let me leave out we actually had trees for shade! The staff does a wonderful job maintaining the park as well as the security does an absolutely A1 job keeping the park safe. Everyone that works there is so friendly and always has a smile. I could post way too many pictures however their web site already has everything that I could post. I am posting a picture of my most favorite person in the park. I met her in the RV supply center they have inside the store. We had a blast cutting up and telling jokes. At first I thought she was the owner due to how knowledgeable she is. I do want to mention that I was expecting some very expensive medication that has to be kept cool. I made them aware of it and they put a note on their clipboard. I just so happened to be in the store the morning it arrived and watched UPS leave it at the counter. Before he even got out of the store the sweet girl behind the counter was ringing my phone. Now that's customer service above and beyond! Lastly it has everything you can find in a RV park from tons of fun stuff to just sitting around in a relaxing environment. read more

My kids and I were at Cherry Hill the last weekend of June this summer. It was a great experience that we reserved the same campsite for another weekend this October. The kids had so much fun swimming in the pool, playing mini-golf, and hiking around the campground. What made the experience enjoyable was that the Cherry Hill staff made sure our stay was comfortable. We would like to thank Jon Palmer on staff for being so helpful, showing us to our campsite, making sure we had the right amount of wood to start the campfire, so that the kids could roast their marshmallows. We still love this campground and have upped our score to 5 stars! You can't beat it for easy access to Washington DC. We only live an hour away but stay at Cherry Hill Park anytime we want to go into DC. This is a first class campground with all the amenities you expect (dog park, two swimming pools, splash zone for kids, mini golf, clean air-conditioned bath houses, etc.). The staff bends over backwards to help you find your way into town. They even helped us surprise our traveling companion with a birthday cake and balloons. The metro bus comes right into the campground and offers express service to the DC Metro stop at College Park on weekday mornings. Even if you sleep in, the bus trip is only 20-25 minutes. You can even add money to your fare card right at the bus stop in the campground. The only possible negative is some road noise. If you are looking for heavily wooded solitude, stay somewhere else. If you are looking for a great campground close to our Nation's Capital, I highly recommend Cherry Hill! read more

Our family absolutely loved staying at Cherry Hill. We drove all the way from Chicago IL to camp at Cherry Hill over memorial weekend. Our site was nicely laid out, neighbors were quiet and friendly. Bath houses were cool, clean and water had great pressure plus plenty of hot water. Kids enjoyed the splash pad, heated pool and the regular pool. Movies at night with free snow cones and popcorn was great. Laundry facilities were nice as well. Cafe was good and we took advantage of the souvenir cups with the all you can drink free refills. Most spaces were occupied but there was never a point that the park felt crowded. Train stations where close which made the commute to DC and Arlington National Cemetery very easy. Made a ton of great memories. Thanks to all the friendly staff etc. we will be back. read more

One of the best campgrounds I've stayed at. Very nice facilities, great super clean bath house. Super friendly and informative staff. Convenient to the D.C. area and has a bus stop in the campground that at certain times in the morning takes you directly to the metro rail which is a must if you've ever driven in DC. Located just off the green line metro. Campsites vary but I would say that they are super nice over all. Nice greenway under the power lines give a nice place to throw a ball or walk the dog. Pools are pretty nice, has a hot tub, putt putt course is awesome. Arcade and cafe also by the pools. If you are wanting a trip to D.C. but also want the option to chill out a day or two, well then, welcome to paradise. Ride the rail, catch a nationals game, hit the national mall and Smithsonian's, go to union station, go to pentagon city, and hit Arlington, all while camping or RVing and be sure to stay here. Although this Campground has lots of amenities and the bathhouses were very clean, I wasn't overly impressed. We paid for a premium site but after staying at many other campgrounds, I would have to say these were less than premium. Everything on site was squeezed together and there actually was no room to use or fire pit because it was way to close to our RV. The cafe and laundry/game room area were very outdated for the amount of visitors they have come through. If you want to do laundry I suggest going during the day, the lighting back behind the building is, well none. It was a very scary feeling to walk back behind the building along that close to the interstate. When we checked in the staff was less than welcoming or informative about the area or our questions. In fact when we asked about going into D.C. For a night tour the gentleman actually said, " why would you want to do that?" Rolled his eyes and acted like we were annoying him. I've never stayed at a campground that the staff wasn't 100% all the time. Every time we visited the store or cafe each staff member acted annoyed and as if they hated their job. Unless I'm just visiting D.C. And need a place to park the RV, I will probably not stay at this campground again. read more

We got married June 10, 2017 and our wedding was spectacular thanks to Linda and Mike Guervich of the Cherry Hill Ballroom. The setup of the venue surpassed our expectations.
