This is a cute little shop! The employees were nice, but since the donuts are made to order it did take about 15 minutes to get our half dozen after ordering inside. No problem, but there is not a lot of seating to wait. The donuts are definitely more on the cake side of the dessert spectrum, very sweet and doughy. The egg and cheese sandwich was as good as an egg and cheese sandwich can get. My husband likes more savory tastes so he was a little disappointed that almost all of the donuts have a lot of icing. All my friends kept thinking I was saying i wanted to go to "Dunkin" donuts except all I kept saying was "Duck" donuts. Yes, after passing by this place a few times I realized I needed to look it up. When I did I was sold. We went there right before leaving town and despite never having been here before it was a one of a kind experience. The young staff that works here gives off such a nice vibe and is truly inviting. The donuts are made fresh at the moment and you have many options to choose from. They're so delicious and fresh! Not only are they adorable cute, have the cutest logo, but they are soooooo yummy and flavorful. The size isn't way too big but all the flavor is where it's at. I ordered a dozen donuts over the phone. When I arrive I saw a family at the outdoor seating poking at a box of donuts and complain it was not what they ordered. The dad followed me intro the store. He said the order was wrong. Staff member, Lauren, took the box out of his hands, set it on the counter. Then picked it up and handed it to me?! That is beyond unacceptable, unsanitary and probably a violation of about a dozen health codes! I asked for a refund, which Lauren couldn't process. Sounds like she called a manger for assistance, and sounds like the manager asked why the customer wanted a refund and she said "I don't know." Really. REALLY?! Not a big fan. Took forever to get a half dozen at 1:30 pm. Store wasn't crowded. But more importantly, the donuts seemed to be undercooked. Just stumbled in this shopping center for an afternoon cup of coffee, only to find a Duck Donut!!! If you have not gone to one of these, do yourself a favor and go today. Met the owner too, a gem. If I could give zero stars I would. I waited 40 minutes for two sandwiches and two coffees. One of the workers was on the phone in the back for half the time. I heard her say the f word multiple times even though there were kids in the store. Both workers had AirPods in. When we ordered, the lady was EXTREMELY unpleasant and I felt as if I was annoying her with my order. They ran out of espresso, and when I finally got my breakfast sandwich I threw it out. Well I gave 1 star due to the fact that i really like Duck Donuts food but today 6/11/2021 I was very excited to get a donut here that we arrived at 6:55am. When we arrived the door didn't open at all and we were there until 7:20am waiting. There was a girl inside doing something(maybe starting the fryer) and she didn't even look at us, i would have understood if she was the only person working or was running late but she did not even acknowledge us, not even a LOOK. They are passionate about your happiness, they take the time with all of the customers to walk them through the many delicious options. Disgusting. I have been wanting to give duck donuts a try. So today was the day. Never again. There were three folks behind the counter making the donuts. Two guys and one girl. While I was waiting for the girl to assemble the donuts I noticed that one of the guys decided it was time to fix his hair with his hands. He did proceed to wash them so I'll give him credit for that but really no need to fix his hair in the same area where the donuts are made. Then the second guy who handles mixing the donut dough felt he needed to fix his hair. He felt it wasn't necessary to wash his hands. Then proceeded to go about his job if making the batter. I had two choices; one walk out or two take them and throw them out. I opted for two so the box of 6 donuts is in the trash can outside the giant supermarket.
