The donuts are fresh to order and the combinations are endless. The staff at this location was very friendly and helpful. The donuts almost melt in your mouth! They are soft and cakey on the inside and a little crisp on the outside... so good. Reasonably priced for how involved they are to make. I went today waiting for the hoopla and the lines to die down. I am a HUGE donut connoisseur. I'm like a sommelier of donuts. So I was excited that there would be some place closer than Beilers in Philly (which reigns at the top of the donut awesomeness list). We arrive and we were so excited that there was NO line. She ordered first and got a dozen with a variety of items. I only got 4. 2 glazed, a french toast and a cinnamon sugar with caramel. $7 for 4. Wow! Then we waited and watched. A group arrived just after us so we felt lucky that our timing was perfect. The donuts come out of a machine. So the base for the donuts are all the same. Unlike Beilers where they hand roll and cut them and there's a variety of bases i.e. chocolate, twists, crullers, etc. The variety comes in the toppings. Glazes, sprinkles, dips, etc. There was a team of about 5 people filling the orders. They were shoulder to shoulder at a table that contained all of the toppings. They filled the tickets that were hung above the toppings. My order was done fairly quickly. The problem started as we waited, and waited and waited for my friends. We watched as person after person that had come after us got their smaller orders, while we waited for her dozen. The order fillers bumped into each other as they tried to access the toppings. The carried each donut from the machine over to the table. The box with her dozen was on the second table. Then they had to look up at the 2 8x10 posters above them on the wall to correlate the name of the donut on the ticket to the picture, then squeeze in to get access to the toppings, then try not to bump into the person next to them to place it in the box. While one person struggle to keep track of what she had filled for this dozen the people behind us got their orders and left. She was 17, they were up to 22 before we finally had to ask how much longer it would be. Not one helped to complete the order. They left it to the 1 person. It was very disorganized. They either needed to open the 2nd table, make the posters larger for the order fillers to see and come up with a process so they can check off which donuts have been done so they don't have to keep stopping to stare at the ticket and then down at the box. I was also surprised at the waste. 1 donut goes into a box. Just one. That donut will likely be consumed in less than a minute and the nice thick vented decorated box goes in the trash. That contributes the to very high cost and more trash in our landfills. On a scale of 1 - 5 the donuts were a 3. Not awful but not amazing. It reminded me of the donuts Shoprite does on the weekend but just with fancier toppings and a MUCH higher price. So, I won't be back and I won't recommend it. read more

Was able to get here early in the morning Sunday for their grand opening weekend. I must say the lines may have been long but the doughnuts were well worth the wait. Considering the whole town seemed to have showed up for the grand opening I was not surprised to have to wait for an hour until I was able to get my made to order doughnuts. Luckily I was smart and ordered a coffee while I waited. The deal with this place if you have never been to a duck donuts is that every doughnut is customizable and made to order. So you can either choose a doughnut variety they make themselves or you can create your own. There were so many good choices and I decided to place my fate in the hands of the duck. I opted to get half a dozen and chose an assortment of donuts. My favorite easily being the maple bacon which literally tasted like a good morning breakfast. I would definitely make time to check this place out , especially if your a die hard doughnut fan like myself. Here on Saturday morning. It was packed but we waited a total of 15 minutes from start to finish. The donuts themselves are excellent alone. We got Half a dozen, one maple glazed bacon, one peanut butter chocolate drizzle, one blueberry powder, one lemon coconut, one blueberry coconut, and one glazed chocolate. I went with two friends near closing time and it was pretty busy so I would suggest going earlier to avoid the end of the day crowd. My husband loves donuts and I am a pretty big fan of the fried confectionery treats too. I just like to pick what I want and the options are somewhat limited at Duck Donuts. All their donuts are freshly fried, which provides a warm treat. They only offer one base though, so it's all cake donuts and you customize it with your glaze/topping. I had a blueberry and a chocolate. I prefer a blueberry cake donut (with blueberry batter) with clear glaze any day. This was my first and last visit... my husband raved about how these donuts... how they were great and made right in front of you. When we entered we looked at the menus on the table for a few minutes and then we went up to the counter to order. We ordered 4 donuts... when the assistant manager went To make the donuts there were some already made. We asked to have freshly made donuts for our order at this point the assistant manager removed her gloves and stopped making donuts and went To the back... another employee, after dropping donuts picked up the donuts The assistant manager left And began making our order... my husband stated that we would like fresh donuts and the employee stayed that those donuts were just made a minute before we walked in (we had been there for awhile at this point) she said "I can let you feel them if you want". Not good customer service AT ALL.. the correct response should've been "ok". When asked for the manager's number the other employee smirked. This is the WORST Duck Donuts I have ever been to. Husband called in on a Friday to place an order for 6 regular and 6 vegan donuts for pickup on Saturday @2pm- even paid for them prior to make the pickup even faster. We went to pickup the order and was told there was an issue with the vegan order, only half was made for whatever reason ‍. Okay- no big deal, they tried to make them right away- that I can handle and do some shopping around, after all we drove 45 minutes away JUST for the donuts. We get a call while walking around and was told they can't make the donuts after all and they want to just charge for the half of the order. Wait- you seriously want me to pay for ANYTHING at this point? There was no call that there was an issue UNTIL the order was supposed to be picked up (and yes, they had the phone number). The entire order was canceled and I told my husband to go back in and get proof with a receipt- good thing I did because they tried the change the refund amount for the entire order. So after wasting time, money and gas I still have nothing to show for it- this is some other level of customer service Duck Donuts! read more

Excellent food and customer service. Stopped in and was greeted by a friendly worker. My order was completed quickly even with a couple customers in front of me. Left to visit someone and realized I had misplaced the donuts as I had my puppy with me also. Went back to the location and they redid my order. I asked how much it would cost and it was free.
