I've been lucky enough to snack on some party boxes but have never actually been inside of a Duck Donuts before. We stopped by their East Meadow location on a rainy day and ordered two donuts (peanut butter paradise and strawberry confetti) and both were amazing! Having never been here before, something I learned was that they make all of their donuts to order, so they are dunking them into the toppings and applying drizzles, etc as you order. Initially, everything looks very gooey, but the sauces settle a little bit after they cool. Camryn was behind the counter and was amazing. Thank you, we'll be back! read more

Came for a girl scout tour! In early 2026 it was $15 per girl. The space was tight but they made it work. The girls got a tour to the kitchen and shown how the dough was made. They thank God to watch the process of how the actual donut was made as well as to taste test a very fresh plain donut. Yum!! They then got online and each got two very fresh donuts and got to customize their toppings to their delight. The girls absolutely loved it. The whole thing lasted less than an hour but it was very fun. My only concern was that the Staffing required a minimum of two people with our group but they're only two people working in total. And they had to divide themselves amongst customers who walk in. Which caused a delay in everybody getting their orders. A being that the tour is set up ahead of time I would have assumed there would have been additional staffing. Although no control of the workers there were some walk-in orders who were angry about the delay which the girls had to witness. However they were so excited to eat there donuts and we'll see if a customized Duck Donut patch and a rubber duck of their choice. Very fun tour. Would do again. read more

I've always heard that duck donuts are the best so I had to come see that the hype was about. The texture of the donuts was amazingly soft. I would recommend eating these fresh for the best flavor. I did try one right away and tried some later and while he taste was still amazing, it's best enjoyed fresh and warm. We tried a few flavors, Lucky charms, Strawberry Shortcake, coconut crunch, smores, Chocolate Caramel Crunch and cookies and cream. My favorite was the caramel crunch. My little leprechaun said the lucky charms was a 10/10. I also got a caramel ice brewed coffee with oat milk and I was not a fan. Are the donuts worth the price? Definitely. This was my first visit here and my last there was a Girl Scout group behind the counter, touching all the toppings it is a nice concept, however they will not make it if they allow children to touch the food that they are serving to others with no supervision. As a dessert aficionado, I will say that the donuts were good; however, they were even a bit too sweet for me- something about the combination of the toppings and dough just threw me off. Perhaps if the dough was more potato-based, it would complement the toppings more effectively. I also think that they are very over-priced, but, ultimately, you are really paying for the name of "Duck Donuts." Well, I can understand why this place has bad reviews and usually seems to be empty. I hadn't been to Duck Donuts before but always heard about them. Donuts are served fresh, but way too hot so the icing and toppings fall right off. I don't understand why these donuts are not cooled off prior to assembly- my son couldn't even eat the donuts because they were just too hot. service is also extremely slow. read more

I get the crappy reviews, I do. We came here because who doesn't love doughnuts? Plus Duck gets a lot of press from their other locations. I love the idea that the donuts are made fresh to order, however, my issue comes down to how they choose to execute this. Okay, order your doughnuts. Go to the side and wait while they assemble them. This means piping hot doughnuts dipped in frosting, sprinkles, additional toppings, etc. Hot doughnuts are then placed side by side in a box. Chocolate frosting falls off due to the heat, maple frosting melts away also due to the heat, and the jelly creates a puddle in the center of the box. Why are these not assembled, cooled, and then placed in a box? I don't get it. 20 minutes later we were home with leaking doughnuts and jelly, PB, chocolate, and maple sitting in a puddle in the box. The doughnuts are also incredibly sweet. Well-made but sweet. I would eat them plain since the assembly of them is a mess. Staff was friendly. That's about it. read more

totally soggy sub par product. my dad got st patty's day themed donuts. frosting was all over the place, and it melted off the donuts, not to mention ruin they were SLATHERED with goopy melted frosting. some had super mushy/stale lucky charms on them. I used to live in East Meadow and I like shopping local. So I thought I'd swing in here and try it out, so I could bring some fresh donuts to the next get together with friends. The store was empty. I arrived at the same time as another guy, and let him proceed ahead of me. I had no idea that this meant I was never going to get my order. For some reason the cashier takes five minutes for the person ahead of me. There's only one person working in the store, and the cashier takes five minutes just to take an order, not to make the donuts. I order four donuts, then sit down, and wait twenty minutes. A guy walks in and picks up an order. It's like he knew there was a long wait. I go up, inquiring if they had my order, and it turns out they never even started making it. So they can handle about one person at a time, it's 4 dollars a donut. They can make one donut every five minutes. So the store can make $4 * 12 donuts = $48 dollars an hour. In the entire time I was there (20 minutes), they were able to handle one customer who walked out with a small bag. How is this store even able to make any money? There are much better cheaper faster donut shops that don't make donuts on demand. It's just about quality. Their entire business model is garbage, or their employee is trying to destroy the business. I ask for my money back, and the cashier fumbles on the register and eventually tells me he doesn't know how to cancel the order. I have sat here for a half hour before I have to leave, walk out with no donuts, and they still have my money. As far as I'm concerned, the management is not only incompetent, the employees are intentionally burning this place to the ground. Update: When doing a chargeback, I was able to confirm that the cashier DID cancel the order, but didn't know he was successful. read more

I heard a lot of hype about this place so I went to try it. Big assortment. Breakfast donuts with bacon Ice cream donuts for dessert. All are made fresh. Looks like it starts with a cake batter then dipped or coded with your flavor. I ordered just one to try cost 3.50. High but again made fresh. Something like $17 for 1/2 dozen My order came quickly as all they had to do is take a freshly made one and coat it. It was served in a box. The main problem other than the cost was that since it was right out of the machine the frosting melted. I heard this from other people and other reviews I wound up eating a mushy sticky dough thing. They serve drinks and coffees I guess for what it is, a specialty place it's good. For me I tried it but won't be back at least not for a long time.
