We absolutely loved the food at Dub's Place. It's our first time there and I had a bacon cheeseburger with some fixings and I had the sweet potato waffle fries and my wife had the same burger but with fresh cut fries. The burger was fantastic and so were my wife's fries. My sweet potato waffle fries were good but not nearly as good as my wife's fries. They were busy this Saturday but we didn't have to wait for a table. They also have seating out back behind the restaurant. They have excellent customer service and I love how the owner comes out to see how your food is. We didn't order dessert but we saw some ice cream treats come out that looked amazing. We highly recommend this little place with the absolute best hamburger in East Tennessee. We'll be coming back for sure. read more

Just went again tonight. The regular cheeseburger and hand cut fries were amazing! And just what I needed I tried to eat just half of this one half pound burger, but ended up eating the whole thing. The fries are so good too. Really crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This owner knows what he's doing. Spoke to a FedEx worker who was there eating and she kept telling a staff member how good her meal was. I asked her what she got and she said it was the special which was a Cajun fried cod sandwich. She kept going on and on about it. I'm gonna try this next time they offer it! The FedEx lady also raved about what they call a thick chip which I believe is a waffle potato chip. I usually like the food but today was ridiculously slow service. Not sure why they were so busy after 1:30pm. The girl at the counter moved in slow motion even with a line at the counter. 2 Stars would have been at least 4, if.... A big IF, and I will explain, but first a little about Dubs. Located off the beaten path in Red Bank a cute little place. The order window was very colorful as were the homemade ice cream sandwiches the gal was wrapping up. Yum yum. Everything was clean and well organized and the dining area reminiscent of a 50's style drive in with a big fan, stop light, license plates and paper towel rolls hanging throughout. We came specifically for beef hot dogs and I had read somewhere that their foot long corn dog was also beef, as I do not eat pork. Upon placing our order I asked the gal at the counter if their corn dogs were beef. She went somewhere into the back, came back and said, "yes they are". So I ordered one. Once the food arrived, my friend's hot dog looked good, but very basic on flat pan with black and white checkered paper. Not even a basket. Same for my corn dog. Then I took a big bite into my corn dog, but it didn't taste like beef. I looked at it and it was more white than pink, and my tummy was already starting to churn. So I returned to the counter to ask again if it was beef or pork. She went into the back again and then the manager came out, looked at me and said it's a Frankfurter - "FRANKFURTER", she repeated then just turned around and walked away with no further explanation. I was astonished and asked the gal behind the counter. If that was all the manager was going to say or do. From the back I heard the same lady say in a very loud, abrupt voice, "I'm BUSY". I asked for the manager to return so we could try to come up with some type of resolution, and she WAS kind enough to come back out. . I then explained that I can't eat pork. She asked what else I would like and I told her a beef hotdog. When she brought my hotdog out, she did bring the difference in cash between the price of the hotdog and the corn dog, but that hardly helped me as a customer who could have been 100% satisfied if only I would have been treated with dignity and respect. So.... IF..... I only would have been treated respectfully and kindly, I might have returned in the future. But I doubt I will again. read more

oh we had to try a few things. The place was crowded so we got our order to go! Friendly staff and quick to help. The food obviously tasted home made. Crumble burger? Can you say Medrite? But there was a different seasoning. Not sure what it was. We ordered 2 of the Big burgers one with Chili one without!! Yummy! Only complaint is I thought the Chili dog had barely a tablespoon of chili? So maybe a fluke. Finished with a Strawberry shake that was fabulous. I ordered a regular pork bbq sandwich and that Smokey flavor was delicious! My husband had the special, Italian sausage sandwich. He said it was fantastic. Do you ever walk into a place and get reminded of someplace your nostalgic mind remembers from when you were a kid? Dub's Place is that kind of place! We come here for ice cream and shakes. Dub's soft serve cones are piled high; they really don't skimp on the ice cream and their cones are delicious! The strawberry shake is very thick. You'll need a spoon. You can add whipped cream and a cherry on top; then it's served without a lid. I wished the shake was a little stronger on strawberry flavor. It's missing that strong strawberry flavor I love in a shake. I suspect Dub's uses strawberries only. From experience of making my own strawberry concoctions, I've found using freeze-dried strawberries makes the strawberry flavor more prominent and delicious! My daughter had a peanut butter shake and -- same thing. The peanut butter in the shake was not very strong. Note to Dub's: You may want to try adding inexpensive freeze-dried strawberries to your your strawberry shakes! You won't be disappointed! I've tried their burgers and fries and they are pretty good, too. A little bit greasy for my tastes. Dub's is an inexpensive way to grab a quick snack or burger and fries. read more

This place is really really really good, super wish I had came here sooner than I did. Idk if everything they sell is homegrown from the ground up, but that's the vibe I get from the place and I love it. OH MY GOODNESS! Dub's has been on my list for a while and I finally had a chance to check them out tonight. I got the chicken fingers, fries, and a chocolate soft serve. The food was incredible and the soft serve was a nice treat! I would be interested to try more of their ice cream options as soft serve is not always my favorite. The best part of my meal was the ranch...it was incredible! The outside of the building was so cute and I loved the interior. Was in Red Bank and googled places near me and this place came up so I thought I'd give it a try. The wait staff were awesome and explained the menu in detail and all were really nice and friendly. I ordered a hotdog, FF and cream corn with a sweet tea. Everything was delicious. I will definetly have to go back and try some other things off the menu. The service is so personal and there are always regulars who are recognized and greeted with all the southern charm in the world. When I asked the lady taking my order how she was doing as they were really busy. She said, "I'm hangin' in there like a hair in a biscuit." I love it. They are very pet friendly an the place is well thought out from a customer perspective. Afterall, who can't use a roll or paper towels nearby when diving into a juicy burger? I saw a random post on Facebook talking about this place, the pictures looked good so I decided to make the 40 minute drive and check it out. At first glance it looks just like a 50's era burger joint. The inside is small but decorated very nice with great 70s music playing and license plates covering the walls. You place your order and pay then the food is brought to your table. I got the kosher burger which has homemade pimento cheese and bacon. I'm usually just the basics guy when it comes to burgers but I'm glad I took the chance and ordered something out of the norm, it was absolutely delicious and very filling! My favorite food is probably french fries and I judge a place based on fries alone and let me tell you, these were some of, if not the best fries I have ever eaten! All in all this place is everything I had hoped for and I will definitely be making a return trip and I plan on trying the milkshake next time! read more

We have visited several times now and every time is soo good! Dub's is a small local place that has been around forever! They serve really tasty burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs and the best fries I've had in Chattanooga! In addition to the burgers, they offer specials, soups, ice cream and shakes. I don't care for sauerkraut but the hubs does and Jordan makes his from scratch and I can appreciate that! Great sweet tea, if you follow me, you know that sweet tea can be a deal breaker for me! The staff are super friendly and you'll hear them call the majority of their customers by name! If you are in the neighborhood, Dub's needs to be a food stop for you! It's worth it! We literally just walked out of the restaurant from eating, and I'm writing this review. To begin, we were greeted by the young woman at the front. I asked about the Crumble burger, as it seems like this is one of their most popular items. The woman at the front hastily recommended we get something else because the cook wants people to try things that HE put on the menu. We opted for a regular burger and fries. We got our food in a timely manner. Overall, it was average. Burgers were very greasy and definitely not a 1/2 lb patty as advertised. Fries were okay. The most appalling part of our experience at Dub's was when the young woman at the front brought a plate to the table close to us. The teen boy at the table politely said that it was not what they ordered. The employee immediately gave this poor boy so much unwarranted attitude that my jaw dropped. She told them that they did indeed order that food and placed it down and walked away. Between the employee's behavior with us at the front, the greasy burgers, and the treatment of other customers--we will not be back. read more
